➵ Eden Beauregard of District One
➵ Location: Careers' Camp
➵ Tagged: Careers
Eden chuckled at Chaska's comment about cooking with a scythe. "To be honest, I think it would add a nice edge to the meal. The taste would be nice and sharp." Would Chaska, Caspia or Killick understand his awful jokes?
With the absence of Madeline and Gloria in camp, the atmosphere was starting to lighten. Eden found himself whistling a happy tune as he examined the beautiful fish Caspia caught. He'd never touched an uncooked fish before, so the texture was strange in his delicate hands, but he didn't mind all that much. This particular fish was medium-sized with dark tigerlike stripes and sprightly fins.
"These fish are lovely," Eden told Caspia with a warm smile. He then nudged Chaska, cooing over the pretty fish in his hands. Seemed like his motherly instincts were taking over. "Aww look at him! I feel bad having to cook him, he has such a cute face."
Still, cooking the fish was a must. Eden wanted to make the best brunch ever for his beloved allies. They must be starving, especially Chaska - a home-cooked meal would warm their bellies and (hopefully) their hearts.
➵ Reyna Byrne of District Twelve
➵ Location: East
➵ Tagged: Sharnaz, Darius, Zoe
Reyna's enthusiasm grew at the return of her friend's creepy shark grin. She assumed it meant Sharnaz knew what to do, and her suspicions were confirmed as her ally addressed the kid. Again, Reyna had forgotten the possibility of other tributes discovering their evil plot. There was a chance Zoe would rat them out to save her own skin. After the kid got revenge, she had no reason to stay loyal.
Much to her delight, the pesky tribute decided to leave. Reyna frowned as more threats flew out of the kid's mouth, but kept her mouth shut and just rolled her eyes. The little tattletale would get them all killed otherwise. Who raised this punk, anyway?
Her flow of rude thoughts was interrupted by Zoe's matches. The District Twelve girl's eyes glittered in excitement, but she stayed silent. Of course, Reyna was terrible at hiding things - her emotions were blatantly visible on her face.
She forced herself to turn away and return to the plan. The District Seven tributes had finally left, and the kids were being adorable with each other. Ew. Reyna hated kids, especially if they were being cute. Anything cute deserved to die. "Alright, lead the way. You're better at the whole scaring-kids thing than I am," Reyna admitted to Sharnaz. To be honest, she just wanted to hear her ally's creepy threats.
➵ Demitra Sparks
Demitra had been watching the scene unfold from a distance. Zoe had survived last night's murder attempt, but at what cost?
Despite trying to murder Zoe earlier, Demitra found herself feeling bad for the lonely girl. The kid even approached three of the most evil, dangerous tributes in the arena in an attempt to reach out. Zoe's loneliness was all Demitra's fault though. It was her attack that split apart the alliance, and now this fourteen-year-old girl was on her own. Demitra decided to fix that.
She rustled the grass on purpose. From this distance, Sharnaz and her crew wouldn't be able to tell another tribute did it. But Zoe could probably see her. "Quickly, over here," Demitra hissed to the tribute she'd just tried to kill a few hours ago.
