Zoe Marius of District 11
Tags: Sharnaz, Reyna, Darius
Location: East Quadrant

Zoe decided it was a good time to leave. Clearly, the three did not want her here, and they seemed pretty intent on getting rid of her as soon as possible. She slowly rocked forwards onto the balls of her feet and crouched. "I'm going to leave now," she said, trying to keep the tremble of fear out of her voice. "You're going to let me go without causing any fuss, or I'll scream. Those four --" she pointed towards her old allies. "will undoubtedly hear it. And then your little plan will be ruined, won't it?" She stood up. "Reyna, if you change your mind, find me." She fingered the matches, playing with them before shutting the lid. "Before I use them all up..." she said, a slight smirk appearing on her face.

She stood up, savoring the anger on their faces, and sauntered in the opposite direction of her old allies. She walked confidently until she thought they couldn't see her anymore before bolting and hiding in some long grass. Her legs were shaking from keeping up the cocky act even when she was absolutely terrified she would be hit in the back with a knife. She remembered Colby, his body shooting out in front of her and falling helplessly to the ground, a knife embedded in his chest. She shuddered and suddenly wondered if those three had been the ones who had killed Colby and was glad she hadn't allied herself with them.

Eden Beauregard of District One
Location: Careers' Camp
Tagged: Careers
Eden chuckled at Chaska's comment about cooking with a scythe. "To be honest, I think it would add a nice edge to the meal. The taste would be nice and sharp." Would Chaska, Caspia or Killick understand his awful jokes?
With the absence of Madeline and Gloria in camp, the atmosphere was starting to lighten. Eden found himself whistling a happy tune as he examined the beautiful fish Caspia caught. He'd never touched an uncooked fish before, so the texture was strange in his delicate hands, but he didn't mind all that much. This particular fish was medium-sized with dark tigerlike stripes and sprightly fins.
"These fish are lovely," Eden told Caspia with a warm smile. He then nudged Chaska, cooing over the pretty fish in his hands. Seemed like his motherly instincts were taking over. "Aww look at him! I feel bad having to cook him, he has such a cute face."
Still, cooking the fish was a must. Eden wanted to make the best brunch ever for his beloved allies. They must be starving, especially Chaska - a home-cooked meal would warm their bellies and (hopefully) their hearts.

Reyna Byrne of District Twelve
Location: East
Tagged: Sharnaz, Darius, Zoe
Reyna's enthusiasm grew at the return of her friend's creepy shark grin. She assumed it meant Sharnaz knew what to do, and her suspicions were confirmed as her ally addressed the kid. Again, Reyna had forgotten the possibility of other tributes discovering their evil plot. There was a chance Zoe would rat them out to save her own skin. After the kid got revenge, she had no reason to stay loyal.
Much to her delight, the pesky tribute decided to leave. Reyna frowned as more threats flew out of the kid's mouth, but kept her mouth shut and just rolled her eyes. The little tattletale would get them all killed otherwise. Who raised this punk, anyway?
Her flow of rude thoughts was interrupted by Zoe's matches. The District Twelve girl's eyes glittered in excitement, but she stayed silent. Of course, Reyna was terrible at hiding things - her emotions were blatantly visible on her face.
She forced herself to turn away and return to the plan. The District Seven tributes had finally left, and the kids were being adorable with each other. Ew. Reyna hated kids, especially if they were being cute. Anything cute deserved to die. "Alright, lead the way. You're better at the whole scaring-kids thing than I am," Reyna admitted to Sharnaz. To be honest, she just wanted to hear her ally's creepy threats.

Demitra Sparks
Demitra had been watching the scene unfold from a distance. Zoe had survived last night's murder attempt, but at what cost?
Despite trying to murder Zoe earlier, Demitra found herself feeling bad for the lonely girl. The kid even approached three of the most evil, dangerous tributes in the arena in an attempt to reach out. Zoe's loneliness was all Demitra's fault though. It was her attack that split apart the alliance, and now this fourteen-year-old girl was on her own. Demitra decided to fix that.
She rustled the grass on purpose. From this distance, Sharnaz and her crew wouldn't be able to tell another tribute did it. But Zoe could probably see her. "Quickly, over here," Demitra hissed to the tribute she'd just tried to kill a few hours ago.

Felix Prestman | District 12 | Location: Heading West | Tags: Penny
Felix heard Penny's replying call and breathed a sigh of relief at the sight of her hurrying towards him. He'd heard her screams after her grip around his waste had disappeared but it seemed they'd ended up in the same place. "It's okay, I'm okay - just a little scraped up." The palms of his hands were covered in grazes but otherwise he thought he'd gotten off lightly. "Are you okay?" His own concerned eyes glanced over her before he gave a small, sheepish smile. "I think I might have jinxed us."
He stooped to pick a strawberry & held one out to Penny. "We've got food & water now at least, even if I don't like the idea of being trapped down here."

Penny nodded, her face still hurt from yesterday's scrape but other than that she was just scuffed up. She was glad that Felix wasn't hurt either, and she gave the taller tribute a quick but meaningful hug. A playful smile spread across Penny's face. "You sure did jinx us!" She said with a giggle, trying her best to lighten the mood. Penny took the strawberry that Felix offered her and ate it graciously. "mm, thanks!" she exclaimed with a smile. "Yeah I don't like being trapped in... but at least we have supplies for now." Penny couldn't beleive their luck! But she was also now eternally nervous the rocks would shift and leave them totally trapped with no way out. Trying not to think about it, she walked down to the stream and splashed some water over the scrape on her face. It was starting to heal nicely but it was still wise to clean it.

Caspia Searobin | District 4 | Location: East Camp | Tags: Killick, Chaska, Eden
Eden & Chaska reached the fire and as they sat down Caspia caught the tail end of their conversation about cooking with weapons. Together, Killick, Eden & Chaska were enough to brighten her mood again in spite of her encounter with Gloria and the homesickness it had encouraged. She snorted at Eden’s puns, which she appreciated even without context, and smiled as he complimented the fish.
“They are very pretty. I’ve never seen this type before though, I think they’re some sort of Capitol creation. But I’m pretty sure they’re probably edible.”
She looked amused at Eden’s empathy for the fish, saying it had a cute face, then Chaska asked what they first step was in cooking them. Caspia was more than willing to explain that little bit of District 4 knowledge.
“Well I don’t want to poison you all so we ought to gut them first. Is that knife still in Madeline’s bag? It’d be easiest thing to use.”

Penny’s eager positivity about their new predicament, with its benefits and its dangers, was enough to make Felix feel better. He returned her hug and then smiled at her, a little goofily, as she laughed in agreement at the idea that he’d jinxed them. She seemed to enjoy the strawberry and then went and started to clean the cut on her face.
“Good idea.”
He stooped down himself to rinse his scraped hands in the fast flowing stream then gestured to a rocky outcrop sticking out on one side of the river. “If you wanted to sit there I could try and clean that properly for you. It might be tricky for you without being able to see it properly.”

Penny looked up at the rock outcropping, then nodded. "If you wouldn't mind... thanks!" She said, trying her best to climb up to the rock outcropping. When she finally made it to the top, Penny waited for Felix to come clean her wound. She was grateful to have an ally as caring as Felix, he was always watching out for her and making sure that she was okay! Glancing over at him, Penny giggled slightly and gave her ally a shy smile.

Sienna Mach-North| D7 |17|Tags:Moses,Rieka,Jay| loc:East
Sienna was bothered by the damp boots and socks so she just took her boots back off to worry about her two new allies she had left behind. She just sighed knowing she had to relax but if anything happened to them she is going to be taking names and loosing blows but it was nice to be in the sun. She was drying out pretty fast as she took her hair out of braids and put it into a ponytail as she used a stick to get the knots out.

Moses Grandy| D7 |18|Tags:Sienna.Rieka,Jay| loc:East
Moses slipped his boots off and stretched out in the sun with his district partner. He trusted Rieka and Jay to be ok for now but he didn’t trust anyone else well Chaska and Eden despite not knowing them. The redhead sighed walking back to the river and dunking his face into the river to wash his hair and face. Now that was refreshing and it took the edge off of his fever. Soon Moses went back to Sienna and laid down beside her just to dry off in the sun.

A smile spread across Eden's face. Not only did Caspia understand his dad jokes, she seemed to like them at least a little. Returning his attention to the fish, he examined it with a curious expression as she admitted this type was new to her, too. He himself couldn't tell the difference between Capitol creations and real species. "I hope they taste good, too. I don't want to feed you something gross!"
His cheeks paled a little at the mention of gutting the fish. That sounded horrific! To calm himself down, Eden reminded himself these fish were already dead. They wouldn't mind. As for the knife, Madeline still hadn't returned to camp...
"I think it's still there," Eden admitted. He headed over to where the red backpack lay and gingerly plucked out the knife. Returning to the fireside, he presented it to his allies with a sheepish smile. To be honest, he wasn't keen on actually cutting up the fish. Maybe one of them could help... he assumed they all had stronger hearts (and stomachs!) than his crybaby self.
"Here. I hope it's okay I took her knife," He said to his allies in general. "Oh, and we don't have a pot. If I wash the weapons, do you think we could use them as roasting sticks? I'll volunteer both my swords for that."

Zoe's head whipped around to see a female tribute, crouched in the long grass. She had rustled it to get her attention. Zoe was shocked and looked at her for a few moments. She was a little shorter than her, but much more muscular and dangerous-looking. She had dark and wavy brown hair and sharp grey eyes the same shade as Darius's. But unlike Darius's eyes, which were cold and ugly, Demitria's were intelligent, and... did she detect a hint of concern in her sharp eyes? "Quickly, over here!" she hissed. Her voice was husky.

Before she could change her mind, Zoe hurried over. She crouched down in the grass, her hand clutched on her arrow and matches. "What do you need?" she asked quietly. Was this a potential new ally she spotted? Her heart leapt at the thought.

Demitra Sparks
Demitra breathed a sigh of relief as Zoe left those dangerous tributes behind. There was something off about that trio, especially the calmer-seeming girl from District Five. They just came off as totally untrustworthy. Of course, Demitra was no angel either. She'd attempted to murder a fourteen year old and succeeded in ruining her alliance. But despite her ruthlessness, she'd never betray.
Zoe headed over to her and crouched down in the grass. She didn't seem to have much in the way of supplies. Demitra didn't mind, they could always scrounge something together after leaving this wretched grassland.
She ended up feeling a lot guiltier as Zoe asked what she needed. I literally tried to kill you and here you are, being nice to me. Of course, Demitra couldn't say that out loud. And feeling sorry about the murder wouldn't erase the fact that it happened.
"Just wanted to warn you about those three," Demitra muttered, rising to her feet with a cautious demeanor not unlike a wild fox. "I'm getting out of here. You can come if you want, but we need to go quickly."
It was her way of offering an alliance. Demitra didn't run off immediately - she wanted to see which way Zoe would head.
