Sienna Mach-North| D7 |17|Tags:Moses,Colby,Zoe,Eden| loc:Cornucopia -> Marshes

Sienna has just managed to hop up in time with a axe in hand before two tributes were charging at her. Mainly the Career from One and oh wait.... THE OTHER FREAKING CAREER FROM ONE. She recognized Eden but why was he slicing and dicing at her. That’s when she saw the plea in his soft eyes and she offered up a small smile.“Thank you...” She whispered before darting off and over a few fallen tributes heading south. Sienna was making quite a bit of noise having to wade through but at this point Who wasn’t and she was lagging. She stopped and washed off the axe while dabbing at her bloody lip with her Panam District Seven issued jacket. Sienna continued sloshing on and to the marshes were after a while she made it to her allies.“Sorry that took so long guys... But I got us a axe and backpack.” She said gently as the water receded a little and her pants clung damply at her knee caps.

Moses Grandy| D7 |18|Tags:Sienna,Colby,Zoe| loc:Marshes

“If it helps ease your guys’s minds I won’t kill you guys... Your my allies and if I go insane I want you guys to kill me if I attack... Plus I promised Rieka I would protect Jay... and I’d protect y’all in a heartbeat if it means me being sent home in a pine box.” He said softly not knowing how roughed up they were probably by him. But he did kill her in the most humane way possible, if the mutts got to her it would have been slow and painful.Moses nodded his head in agreement and shook his head,he just hoped it was fake and Sienna’s feelings weren’t going to get her killed.“Sienna is strong and she’s trained with a axe. That’s the one good thing about logging and tree farming families everywhere is your training ground in seven.” He said lowly and felt the marsh water seeping into his socks.“Sienna will break free soon enough but I doubt that Madeline girl would be the one to attack if Eden doesn’t stop swinging horribly at her. But we gotta start getting distance between us and the island and we need to get to a fresh water source.” He whisper softly continuing the journey of wading with Colby and letting Zoe use him for any assistance.“We should check our packs after a few hours of wading. I think Sienna has one. And also these blankets is for everyone in the alliance.” He said gently as the trudged on and the water receded a little into marshyness.

Reyna Byrne of District Twelve
Location: North
Tagged: Sharnaz
Sharnaz's expression showed agreement and disgust, which Reyna took as an excuse to slander tributes even more. The contempt in her voice only worsened as she continued to wade forward. Incoherent insults and curses flew from her mouth unfiltered.
The moment she reached dry land, Reyna's hateful scowl shifted back to the familiar grin. She was finally free of her least favorite element. No longer consumed by rage, she took a moment to properly consider Sharnaz's words before responding.
"Great!" She snickered with sinister excitement. "Let's get going, then. I can't wait to hear your ideas."
As Reyna entered the forest, she noticed the drop in temperature at once. A shiver passed through the District Twelve tribute. Thankful for her well-insulated, slightly too big jacket, she pulled back her arms so her hands could hide in the sleeves. She looked to Sharnaz with a rare expression of worry - these temperatures were awful and she had no idea what they were searching for. Reyna, a lazy upper-class brat, had absolutely no survival instincts to help her seek out a good campsite.

Eden Beauregard of District One
Location: Cornucopia
Tagged: Sienna, Madeline
Eden returned the smile for just a moment, then slashed down once more with a sword. Again, his blade cut through thin air as Sienna darted back and ran away. The Career lowered his weapons and watched her rejoin her allies.
He wasn't alone for long. Madeline soon joined him, offering a scathing critique of his performance in that fight.
"Sorry, Madeline. I know I attacked first, but I just couldn't bring myself to kill her." It was the truth. "Mother always told me becoming a Career was a bad idea, and now I understand why. I'm terrible at hurting people!"
He chuckled in embarrassment, thinking of his earlier altercation with Darius Silk. Even when he hated the other tribute, Eden only scared him off instead of killing him. He'd been more concerned about making sure little Rieka was safe.
Speaking of Rieka, she'd reunited with Jay now. Chaska had taken down another cowardly child-murderer and now stood guard, seemingly waiting for the children to flee. Eden's respect for his ally grew tenfold at that moment. The kids were in good hands.
"Anyway..." Now wearing a soft smile, he turned back to Madeline. "I really appreciate your concern for me - thank you. My heart just wasn't in the fight this time. I promise if we're attacked, I'll fight much better than I did back there."

NPC Antagonists Update
Darius heads north, armed with a machete. He intends to hide from strong tributes while only picking off the weak.
Demitra heads south, having picked up six throwing knives. She is staying out of sight from District Seven and their allies.

Colby began to wade through the swampy wetlands. Moses’s words reassured him, but his senses were heightened at every sound. “I have a tent too.” Colby said, glancing back to make sure everybody was okay. He was relieved when Sienna came towards them, and she didn’t seem injured. “We should probably find somewhere dry to set up camp.”

Zoe's eyes widened as she realized Moses thought she was afraid of her. "Oh my gosh, no, I'm not afraid of you or anything... I've just... never seen someone killed like that before, I guess. I'm sorry." She stared down at her feet, which were enveloped in a thick layer of marshy mud. She wrinkled her nose and started to walk at Colby's suggestion. She surveyed her surroundings: low-lying trees dripping with dew, warm, wet mud everywhere, cattails and bunches of reeds poking out of the mud. She was nervous at the lack of high trees to climb and felt very exposed. She supposed that they could hide in the mud if someone came around, but shuddered at the thought. Colby had mentioned that they should keep going until they find a dry place to set up camp, and she nodded. "Although it might be hard to find a dry place in all this..." she lifted up her foot again and watched the mud ooze off. "Wet." She set her foot back down and continued walking. "We should probably set up camp once we're pretty far from the Cornucopia so we can figure out what we should do. Did any of you go to the edible plants station?"

Sienna grimaced at the mud,“When we get there we should probably get the mud out of our shoes and set them in the sun to dry out.” She said as she slowly began walking with them. Sienna glanced at Zoe with a smile,“I did the second day! Also back in Seven we snacked on pine barks to get nutrients and fluids at times.” She said softly.“But we have to be careful of the Green dragon, Swamp milkweed,Yellow Marsh Marigolds, and tall buttercups. But if we go to the other quadrants I’m sure there is a bigger variety of poisonous plants. She pointed out the yellow buttercups first and then the green dragon plant which had three leaves and had a long stem. As they continued walking she pointed out the pink swamp milkweed, and then yellow marigolds before seeing dry land with a few massive trees.“Look at that! Land!!!” She whisper yelled following them ashore and prying off her disgusting boots and slightly gagging at the mud pooling out.

Moses Grandy| D7 |18|Tags:Sienna,Colby,Zoe| loc:Marshes

“Don’t be I never killed like that before or killed at all. This isn’t really my scene but I suppose it’s what I get for taking the tesserae for my family for three years straight.” He said lightheartedly and frowned at the oozing mud sloshing around in his shoes.Moses raised a brow at Sienna learning so much but honestly the land was a relief to his feet as he got on land. He prayed his gross boots off and dumped the mud out before doing the same with his socks and hanging them from a lower branch in the tree. Moses sat the blankets down away from the drying things.“Do you guys want to camp in the trees? I can help get the tent up there and if you don’t know how to climb me and Sienna can teach y’all.” He said politely with a small cheeky grin.

Penny had seemed equally relieved to see him, providing no resistance as he began to lead her through the water, away from the Cornucopia. He was glad of the waterproof boots he was wearing, keeping his feet warm and dry.
”That way,” He nodded towards the Western quadrant, a rocky landscape. ”I’ve not seen anyone else head that way yet, and I reckon it’ll be full of good hiding places.”
The terrain didn’t look the easiest to navigate, but better that that coming face-to-face with a dangerous tribute or an angry mutt.

Colby’s eyes widened as Sienna pointed out all of the dangerous plants. It seemed like everything was out to get them- which was true. They were all tributes in the hunger games. “Nice! That seems perfect!” Colby had never slept in a tree before, but he trusted Moses when he said he could secure the tent in the tree. “I’ve never sat in a tree before.” Colby said, handing the tent to his ally. Then he laid the spear down against a tree and took off his soaking wet boots, although they were water proof, murky water had gotten in through the top and soaked his feet to the bone. Colby sighed with relief as his feet were exposed to air. Hoisting himself onto a low but sturdy limb, he enjoyed the few moments he could take to rest before they would have to set up camp and find food.

Penny followed Felix’s gaze to a rocky land and nodded with agreement. Hopefully they wouldn’t run into any other tributes. As they came across the shore of the rocky western quadrant Penny wrapped Felix in a bear hug. “Felix I’m terrified!” She gasped, not sure how to take Jasper’s advice and not think about dying. It seemed to be all she could think about..

Eden Beauregard of District One

The last of the stragglers had dispersed from the bloodbath. Only the Careers remained on the central island, with Chaska overseeing Jay and Rieka's escape. As Eden looked around, his face fell in a frown at the six deceased tributes strewn about the sand. The hovercrafts would soon arrive to remove the bodies, but the metallic tang of blood would taint the air for some time yet.
"Is everyone alright?" Eden called out. Even as the words left his mouth, he did a quick once-over of his allies. Madeline, standing right beside him, was fine of course. Chaska and Gloria's victims hadn't even touched them. Apart from some grass stains on Killick and a teeny-tiny scrape near Caspia's chin, the District Four tributes were spotless. They'd made it through the bloodbath without losing anyone.
"There's not much left at the Cornucopia." The sandy shores were barren after other tributes took their share. All that remained was a shortsword, clutched in the cold, stiff hands of Aleksander. "I'm thinking we take our stuff and set up camp somewhere else."
He took a moment to survey the four quadrants. "Hmm, how about east? It looks more open than the other areas. We'll be able to spot other tributes coming, it'll be hard for them to sneak up." Past Career alliances sometimes had trouble with surprise attacks.

Zoe lit up at the mention of trees. "Oh, thank goodness there's trees," she exclaimed. She clambered up after quickly removing her muddy boots, checking out the trees. They looked flimsy but were strong. Hopefully, they could carry four tributes, including Moses, who was pretty big. "The tree looks good!" she called down to them. She felt at home, perched up in the tree, her skinny legs dangling down, almost identical to the branches around her. She started to braid her hair back- it had come undone after her scramble at the Cornucopia. She never wanted to come down.

Caspia Searobin | District 4 | Location: Cornucopia| Tags: Careers
The rest of the tributes were gone, leaving the Careers alone at the Cornucopia. Caspia took a moment to scoop up one of the Capitol's strange little devices, this one was a water purifier which should come in handy. A Career should die honourably in battle, not from some disease caused by drinking dirty water.

She straightened up at Eden's call, checking that they were all still whole.
"Not a scratch!" She responded cheerfully, looking around to see all 5 other Careers still safe. Her words perhaps weren't true, but the tiny cut on her chin meant nothing to Caspia. "You were all pretty impressive." After Killick had stabbed one tribute, she'd also seen Gloria strike another with a throwing knife and Chaska decapitate the one going after one of the younger tributes. All had been taken down in nothing more than one move.

Eden then suggested they take their stuff and set up camp elsewhere, which seemed a smart idea. It was probably wise to not let all the other tributes know their exact location. "East seems good to me." She agreed, "It looks like we wouldn't have to do too much clambering about over there." Being in the open was a good idea too. Most tributes would be wary of approaching a Careers camp directly but tributes sneaking up and attacking from behind would be likely if they gave them the oppurtunity.

Felix Prestman | District 12 | Location: Western Quadrant| Tags: Penny
As soon as they'd stepped onto the dry land of the Western quadrant Felix was surprised by Penny flinging her arms around him in a bear hug. After the moment of initial surprise he hugged her back tightly.
"We're okay," he reassured her softly, glad that he could push his own fears aside by comforting her. He wasn't about to make any promises for the future, but for now they had survived. "We'll just find somewhere to shelter a bit further away from the cornucopia for now and then we can think about other stuff."
He stepped back a little so he could look directly into her eyes. "We just have to stay hopeful. I've got your back, okay?"
