โต Eden Beauregard of District One
โต Location: District One floor
โต Tagged: Madeline, Licaria
A soft smile touched Eden's features. Growing up, he'd never heard Madeline utter those words before. It warmed his heart with pride to hear them now. "Any time," He told her gently. "I mean it - you can always talk to me."
Despite everything, Eden still considered Madeline his sister. Her feelings mattered to him.
Ms. Licaria didn't cause them any more trouble, and the conversation transitioned smoothly into the peacocks back home. A little of the old Madeline seemed to creep back into her voice as she described the certain disaster. Those attack-birds were brutal.
"I bet they miss you," Eden said, then chuckled a little as a thought hit him. "As for me, I'm probably safer in the arena than back home. The peacocks can't maul me there! Unless the Capitol releases peacock mutts, in which case it's all over for me. You'd be fine though."
โต Garry Woods of District Seven
Garry's eyes were soft with sympathy, but he didn't utter a single word until Sienna got it all out. Deep down, everyone needed an understanding friend who'd listen to their worries. And it sounded like the poor lass had a lot of worries. All of them were completely valid, from fears of leaving others behind to fears of staining her own hands with blood.
The moment Sienna finished, Garry reached out and gently clasped her hands in his. Hopefully the small gesture would provide some much-needed warmth to his anxious tribute.
"I'm sorry, Sienna. You have every right to feel that way," he said, "to feel anxious, scared, even angry. I can't take away those fears, but all I can say is this. No matter what happens in the arena, you'll never be a failure. Especially not to your mentor."
He offered her a small smile. "I'll always be proud of you, okay?"
โต Himaya Hannock of District Eleven
Himaya acknowledged Zoe with a silent nod as the tribute left the room. Hopefully she slept well. The Games would start soon, and with all the murderous tributes prowling around, there wouldn't be much time left for sleeping. Zoe might be a little safer due to having three allies to keep watch, but little Jay here didn't have that luxury.
"I'm already proud." The mentor turned back to Jay with a smile. He was so sweet, even half the Career Tributes would find it hard to kill him. Although he could use his cuteness to his advantage, Himaya didn't think he was that kind of person.
"Hmm. Get some rest. You'll need it for tomorrow," Himaya told him when he asked about sleeping. She stretched her arms out, offering a good night hug to the tiny boy. "Good night, kiddo."
