Kailey froze, breathing hard and glancing at the boy for a moment before staring at the ground. 'Get out?' She thought hopefully, but didn't smile. 'Freedom. At last, freedom. But is it truly the end of all this? Really?' She didn't trust anyone with her own life, but she knew that she must trust him, just this once, to get her away from this place.
At the mention of getting free, out of here, Greta glanced toward the voice. Her eyes were full of hope, although it faded after a moment when something came into her mind. 'But who would go for me?' She thought, shrinking back towards the shadows but unable to do so without the ropes digging deeper. She whimpered, biting her lip to try to keep from yelling or crying. She couldn't afford to show how much it hurt to be here, she didn't deserve to be free as much as the rest did. She was much better off than everyone else.
