Mei shook off Ayame's arm but nodded all the same, standing and heading for the door. "I'll be okay if I don't use my powers . . ." she said quietly but then something chilling happened - a small voice spoke up in her head. Not use your powers . . . the voice hissed, and Mei froze, my poor child, that would get you hurt . . i'll be good, don't worry, but only for a little bit before i have to stretch my legs . . .
As soon as the voice faded, Mei fell to her knees, eyes wide as she sweated uneasily. She was shaking and clenched hereself uneasily, breating in and out, in and out . . .
"Mei!" Kiba exclaimed, rushing to her side as she fell, "oh gosh, are you okay?" He went to place a comforting arm over her but then Alex rushed in and did it instead.
Alex shot a glare at Kiba before clutching Mei to his chest. "It's okay," he said in a soothing voice, "it's all going to be okay." At least, he hoped it would.
Gaara watched on calmly although he too wished to rush over and hold Mei to him, to comfort her and save her from her demon, even though no-one had done so for him. "Cerberus is a demon, like Shukaku," he said, having remembered the name from somewhere, "it is more than five times as powerful as shukaku though and just as terrifying."
Kankuro swore under his breath. "Well I guess we're going to have to go snake hunting," he sighed.

The others ran to her as well, peaking over one another to see if Mei was okay, Ayame's breath had hitched some when she saw her friend fall, wondering what was to happen. "Mei we should really go see Lady Tsunade." she commented, hoping her friend would listen to her this time.

Mei gulped and nodded, wiggling away from Alex and getting to her feet. "I'll go ahead . . ." she said then transformed into a black wolf, taking off from the cafe.
"Why does she have to be so damn reckless?" Alex asked no one in particular, biting his thumb and forming some handsigns before placing his hand on the ground. "Summoning Jutsu!" With a large puff of smoke, Hikara the white tiger appeared and Alex leapt onto her back. "Hurry up guys," Alex urged then took off after Mei on Hikara's back.
Shikamaru stretched then rolled his eyes. "And he calls Mei reckless?" Shikamaru muttered - he was acting calm but, in truth, he was concerned with this situation . . .
