The shy and anxious redhead hummed quietly as she watched now. She smiled a bit when the professor turned to them. She made a small sound and jumped a little when Crona yelled...She shook her head a bit, then glanced to Stein once more.

"Spirit, Lord Death's asked me to take on one of the higher-level missions after Black Star...goofed up," said Stein, shaking his head. "I know, I’m fully capable of managing it with Marie, or even on my own, but..." a wry smile came to the professor's face. "It’s been a while since you and I went on a mission together. Will you help me out?" He was about to add some details of what the mission itself WAS, when he heard voices at the end of the hall. "Ah. Excuse me a moment." He turned to face the two youth. "Crona, Jesse, what can I do for you?"

"Heeey! What’s so funny?" Karter whined, but this only served to worsen the blush. He hadn’t heard her laugh, but her cheekbones had lifted, suggested that at the very least she was grinning, maybe trying to hide a laugh? No fair. There was no bitterness though. In fact if anything, there was a bit of amusement of his own. Did he really look that stupid?

The redhead hummed quietly, something others likely didn’t know he did sometimes. Even his daughter didn’t seem to know...He snapped out of it to actually pay attention to Stein. He sighed a bit as Marie was mentioned...He tilted his head as he saw the wry smile. He smiled a bit as he was then asked by the gray haired man to help. He nodded to him, saying “Yes,” then also hearing voices. He nodded and waved him off.

Stein patted Spirit on the shoulder. The last time he remembered them ACTUALLY working together was...to fight off the pink haired, frail CHILD they saw in front of them. Though Crona WAS a half decent fighter. There’s a reason the Demon Sword managed to collect so many souls...

"Jesse? Crona? Is everything alright?" This warranted a quiet yelp from Crona that sounded more like a duck dying from a sudden heart attack than anything else.

(I have no idea how to reply. (For the last couple or so weeks my anxiety has been annoying me which I am getting tired of my anxiety being like that. It never used to be like that. Something is making it happen and I so plan to find out.)
