Kit frowned, not liking the rude way she'd talk down on somebody who was right there, she'd want to talk to him later.
She shrugged, "Though, your opinion is as valid as any,it just comes from being here so long,"

"About a year and a half," she said with a half sigh, somedays it seemed longer, others only like she'd been here a couple months. "Hopefully.. not much longer," though she tried not to let it out, audible doubt trickled through her words-although she still believed they'd get out eventually, but it seemed a long way off, one of the reasons why she chose to be so optimistic about the Glade.

Bailey II Runner

Bailey could feel the tension from Caleb and understood. The situation didn't make sense to her either, none of this did. She'd have to ask Minho later when they were back at the glade. He'd probably have time for questions then. She shrugged and turned with Minho, following on behind them. She offered her own weak smile. "I don't think he should just ignore it, maybe he might come back to it later, I don't know" she shrugged, speeding up slightly when she noticed a gap in the group. Soon they were back at the glade, and she slowed down, walking out onto the grass. Bailey frowned slightly when she noticed that Caleb was walking back towards the maze entrance. "I have nothing else to do. Let's go" she agreed and followed after Caleb, picking up her pace slightly to fall in line beside him. "Lead the way Caleb... um, could I maybe have some water please?" she asked nervously, not wanting to be a bother.

The girl, Harlow, seemed to have a bit more...spirit than most of the Greenies on their first day. Alex herself could certainly remember being shy, being scared, and though trying to look tough in the moment, she remembered still feeling lost. She wasn’t sure if that was what was going on with this girl, but if it was, she was good at it. Her overall personality as far as Alex had seen was both a little off-putting, yet interesting at the same time. Alex wouldn’t mind getting to know this girl a bit better if the chance presented itself.

Hearing Blaire's voice calling to him, Newt nodded. "Excuse me. Apparently one of the Keepers has summoned me." He raised a hand in farewell and tried for a cheery smile, but even to him it seemed halfhearted. It wasn’t even suppertime yet, the sun hadn't even begun to set and the day had already been tiring. He fell in beside Blaire. "Minho doesn’t summon me so soon after a run." He frowned. "In fact...most of the time, aren’t'cha still running at this time?" He asked.

She glanced at newt from the corner of her eye. She figured it be best for minho to give him the news, coming from blaire it might seem more of a negative than a positive just because of how back and fourth she had been since the discovery. "something came up....we had to head back" she looked ahead towards the mapping room and could see Minho still there. "this...isnt really my place to say anything I think it would be best if Minho told you." even though she so desperately wanted to talk to him about it, the coincidence it happened the day someone was sent up, but she continued to bite her tongue and make her way to minho. She didn't talk much to Newt mainly because the runners would be running all day till they came back before the gates closed, there really was no time to talk to someone outside of her role.

Before when he had been leaving she could tell that the smile had seemed forced, should she say something to him? She had bit her tongue enough " you shouldn't try so hard to put on a smile when its plain to see you don't really mean it." she commented, her voice was a bit of an annoyed tone but that was because she didnt like that he was forcing himself to try to be happy.

Minho summoning Newt? That peaked Kit's interest, it saddened her to see Newt disheartened. "Byee," she said, waving.
She tried not to feel annoyed at Harlow, after all, a personality like hers was bound to clash with one like Newts. She just hoped they made up eventually.

Kane came over to the wooden tables, noting Karter sitting alone. Let's bug him. He's always fun. He sat down across from the boy in the black hoodie, setting his hands on the table somewhat suddenly, hoping to startle him.

Newt nodded in greeting to Minho as they approached the Keeper of the Runners. His dark gaze shifted back to Blaire briefly as she spoke. "I have to," he insisted. "At the very least, I have to try, since I’m Leader now. I can’t pretend everythin's fine, but for morale and all, I also can’t afford to just sit around and be grumpy now, can I?" Although half the time, this month that’s what I’ve been doing anyway. He silently added. "What’s up?"

Newt had been a Runner once himself, as Minho remembered almost painfully well. If no one else, Newt would understand the maps, surely, and it might be easier to show than to actually explain in full what it was...especially since they didn’t know the full story, so Minho gestured for him to come. "We found something. What was suppose to be a dead end, there’s a perfectly straight crack in the wall. I’ll show you where we’ve got it marked down."

Karter had just kinda...gone off into a daze, letting himself relax and get lost in his thoughts for once, since he had the extra couple of hours that day, but was startled from his thoughts by the arrival of one of the people he liked the LEAST in the Glade, the ever chatty, every disruptive Kane. Karter yelped, shoulders tensing, then he stared up at the Track-Hoe. "Kane," he greeted him, rolling his eyes. "Whaddya want?"

"Well then sit." He shrugged, yanking his hood up again and watching him through half narrowed eyes. "I’m...I'm not lonely. I’m NEVER lonely. Why would I be lonely when I don’t like people in general?" He asked in a mutter. Kane hit a sore spot there. No, normally it wouldn’t bother him, but watching everyone else have their conversations DID make Karter realize that in two years up in the Glade...he still hadn’t really made a friend. "Fine. Whaddya wanna talk 'bout, then?" He asked, though somewhat reluctantly. Humour him for a bit, then run the hell away.
