"Nah, your good. I don't actually have that much to do right now other then fix a board at the homested. fix a grape vine support in the gardens. A few other things aswell, but not much, unless there's something else you need done around here?" She looked in the corner at the table at which the Slicers cut the meat on. She observed all of the chop marks in it and how stained it was from the blood. "Maybe a new chopping table?" She looked at her fingers again and spread them out and bent the sore one a few times. "Yeah, it's really not that bad. I don't need to see a Med-Jack or anything like that."

Kit blinked, "Suspicious? For now? What do you mean by that?" she asked, genuinely confused. She really did have a much different attitude then the other greenies, much more.. confident? That wasn't exactly the word she was looking for, but close enough, and Newt had mentioned a falling out, which she could definitely tell from his expression..

Minho looked up as he was addressed, and turned to face Blaire. "Huh? Oh...Newt's going to ask anyway, so we may as well let him know. Maybe giving him a little good news will perk him up a bit. He’s had such a long face since he became Leader," he commented.

It was always strange to have a new person amongst them, when everyone was so use to each other, but as far as Alex was concerned, it was a good kind of strange. Or maybe she was just excessively optimistic. She wasn’t sure anyone, and she didn’t quite care. Noting Newt had mentioned some sort of falling out straight from the beginning, she felt worry flicker through him. She wasn’t sure who had snapped first, but the frustration and tired look on Newt's face suggested to her that perhaps he had been the first one to say anything, which was both understandable and something that a Leader should know better than to do, especially when it came to new people. They were bound to at least be confused, after all, they woke up with no memory in a strange place.

Alex offered a small smile. "Well...between the Runners falling and getting scraped up from time to time, and the Builders hammering their own thumbs, we've got a bit of work, though it’s been pretty minimal the past week, which is a good thing as far as I’m concerned," she noted. "Well, it’s very nice to meet you."

"I think we're good for now. What we have is still useable." Maybe new stuff would be useful in a while, but nobody had ever complained to Winston, so he wasn’t TOO worried about it at this point. "Did you see the Greenie that came up? Newt dismissed people pretty quickly once she was up," he remembered.

She watched Harlow, she seemed a bit nicer this time around so it made her feel a bit better. She chimed in with the partial joke on the people getting hurt after Alex had commented. "we also make mixtures with herbs to make for simple things like headaches and stomach issues," she explains.
"Have you figured out what area you are going to be working with?" she asks Harlow. She really was trying her best to not be rude and be the ray of light she usually is. There were so many people who were gathered around and a part of it was nice to be around so many people at once but it was a little stuffy.

She nodded lightly. "Alright." she said blandly. She hesitated but forced the words out "I also wanted to apologize for being late this morning..." she could feel this burning in her chest, she didn't like apologizing but she felt she needed to.
After she quickly changed the topic "I can go grab him, I saw him over by the med-jack hut?" she asks. She pulled her hair out of the ponytail it was pulled back in letting her hair fall down messily.

"It’s okay. We're not exactly on our usual time anyway today," the Keeper pointed out with a shrug. He exited the map room and closed the thin door behind him, coming out to stand with her. "You saw him around? Yeah, if you saw him, get him. We should let him in on things. See if it gives him a bit of hope, and if he has any suggestions."

She offered a lazy smile to Newt before looking back to the greenie. Harlow, she pondered the name. She watched the girl, from her attitude in the box she wondered how well the two would get on. As she answered Kit's question she couldn't force down a soft chuckle. "She has a right to think it's suspicious. I mean waking up in a box, trapped by walls, surround by a maze, sounds a little suspicious." She offered, "don't worry, I was the greenie before you. The glade grows on you.

Alex's gaze shifted over to Newt. There was definitely tension, the way he and Harlow addressed each other. She fixed the boy with a firm, almost scolding look, to which he just shrugged. Alex sighed and faced Harlow again. "He can be...easily distracted. Newt, go find something else to do instead of just standing here," she suggested. Giving orders to a Leader? Alby never would have stood for it, but Newt just held up his hands and took a couple steps back.

"Sounds like Newt hasn't been a great guide," the blonde noted. "Truth be told, I’m not exactly surprised. If you want, I can finish the tour and see if I can give you some answers. He kinda..." she thought for the right words. "Dodges around stuff if he thinks it might be too much."

"Ohhhh, like that." Quite honestly Kit didn't know what she was thinking the girl meant by it.
"You sound like you'd make a good Runner, they're the ones who go out into the Maze to try to find a way out," she said, assuming the girl had a lot of stamina.

She listened to how he was okay with her being late this morning. She wouldn't admit it but it made her feel a little more at ease, even if she didn't show any of that emotion on the outside. She nodded and slightly hesitated the thought of if this discovery was a good or bad thing came across her mind again. She wanted to mention it to Minho, but she decided to hold her tongue for now.

"Okay, let me see if he is still over there I'll be right back," she says before jogging away, she had noticed too the Newt had seemed a bit down of the late, which was bad because the way the leader stood could affect the followers. She headed towards the Med-Jack and caught a glimpse of Newt, all the people from the Med-Jacks talking to the new girl, she rolled her eyes slightly and approached Newt as she saw him take a few steps back from the crowd. "Come on Minho needs to talk to you." she says bluntly before turning around and heading back towards the Map room.

Violet was rubbed wrong by the tone of Harlow's voice but she didn't let it faze her for now. 'I bet that's because she doesn't care about anyone but herself.' she thinks to herself.
When Alex spoke she could agree with what she said about Newt, even though she liked him she was honest enough to admit what flaws he had, he wasn't the most straight forward person, and for some reason, he thought to leave out crucial information about this place. But she was growing tired of listening to this self-righteous person talk about the Glade. Yes it was hell in some way, but these people they lived with would die for eachother, and having a bond and a family like that was better than being here alone.
