8 didn’t notice the vibe earlier, he was too fascinated by the view. Now it felt like the land wanted to devour him. Disappointment fell over him in a wave. Was he stuck here now? Then 8 smiled. He didn’t get a lot of compliments. At least he thought it was a compliment. “No, I’m not human,” he laughed, “I’ve always had the ability to do that. I don’t know why. You’re probably very confused by me, aren’t you?” 8 quickly formed a purple rose with a blue stem out of energy and handed it to Adrien. Hopefully, if they could form a friendship or relationship, they’d be able to work their way out of this place,

    𝐙𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐒𝐔 ─────── ── ─ ─ ( ⚡️ )
    ( male ) ( sixteen years old ) ( kimetsu no yaiba ) ( tags hiccup & toothless )
    ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────
zenitsu slowly opened his eyes as he regained consciousness, lying on his back with his arms and legs sprawled out on the forest floor, he gazed up at what looked to be a dense canopy of trees, odd. what had happened? he didn’t recall ever falling asleep, why was his mind so foggy.. why was everything foggy? wait, why was there fog? “huh?” sitting up rather abruptly in a startled manner he looked around in a dazed panic. “what? how did i get here, what’s going on?!?” he exclaimed. he was alone, in a place completely unfamiliar to him. a fog ridden forest, covered to the brim with thick foliage and twisting branches. immediately he was filled with an overwhelming sense of dread as he recalled the last time he had been left alone in a forest. sure, it wasn’t the same one but who knew what kinds of terrifying demons may be roaming this creepy place. panic then ensued in the young man as his eyes desperately searched the foreign area for any sign of his friends. “tanjiro!?... nezuko?!.. anyone?” he cried out. surely they hadn’t left him out here, not like they had last time? without him, who would protect nezuko? he needed to find them and quick.

after what felt like an eternity of wandering aimlessly through the labyrinth of trees and calling out to his comrades but receiving no response, zenitsu finally gave up on his efforts and resorted to slumping down to the forest floor, using one of the many tree roots sticking out of the ground as a seat as he put his head in his hands in defeat, and began to cry. at this rate he would never get out of here, he’d probably end up dying alone, what’s worse, without ever seeing his precious nezuko again. zenitsu was suddenly pulled away from his distressed thoughts as the sound of footsteps filled his ears. silencing his sobs he lifted his head and peaked out from behind the tree, tears still in his eyes. the dense foliage made it hard to see, but he could just make out the figure of a man, weird, he could’ve sworn the footsteps sounded heavier, but as far as he could tell it was only that one man, and he was eager and in a rush to find out what was going on to overthink it. luckily, from the sound of it, he was human, maybe he’d be able to tell him where he was. standing up, he quietly stepped out from behind the tree and approached the older male but made sure to keep a reasonable distance, then spoke “hey-uh, excuse me, do you happen to know where we are-“ zenitsu trialed off as his eyes fleeted to the large lizard-like creature directly behind the man, which explained what the source of the heavier footsteps had been, but what was it? not a demon.. and how did this guy not notice that there was a huge monster behind him? eyes going wide he let out a terrified shriek and jumped back at the sight of the strange animal, pointing at the winged black beast with one hand and instinctively gripping the hilt of his sword with the other. “what is that?! th-there’s something behind you!” he exclaimed, ready to make a mad dash away from the two.

indent it had been a good while that the two of them were travelling through the unfamiliar forest and hiccup was steadily losing his hope of finding any answers. it wasn't everyday that hiccup found a new land without wanting to - typically he would be excited to find a place he had never seen before; it opened up the chances of finding new types of dragons, new places to explore and to name. the viking chief just wasn't too fond of being rudely and suddenly torn from his home island of berk with no prior warning, there was no telling how the people of berk were reacting to hiccup's absence; probably not well, no doubt about that. "think we're going around in circles, bud?" hiccup released a sigh, shaking his head as he looked back at the dragon, rubbing his snout and offering a slight smile, earning a low throaty roar from the winged reptile. "yeah, me too." the rider responded with a light laugh before turning away from the night fury and continuing to trudge forward, sighing and kicking at stray rocks that crossed his path. at some point snagging his metal leg on a tree root protruding from the ground, staggering and gasping in surprise as he lost his footing and began to fall forward, toothless immediately bounding in front of him and blocking his fall long enough to allow hiccup to unhook his metal leg from the tree root, all the while muttering to himself about needing to make a new leg when he got the chance; it didn't help how toothless often chewed at it.

indent once he secured his balance again, hiccup mumbled a thanks to the dragon and gently patted toothless' neck. making a mental note to keep his eye on where he was walking, hiccup resumed walking, toothless releasing some grumbles as he followed, occasionally casting to the side and behind them to ensure there was nothing potentially dangerous. although at times the dragon was distracted by general insects buzzing about them. it looked like their luck was beginning to change, thankfully, when someone seemed to appear from around a tree and began to approach, hiccup slowing his pace and wearing a friendly smile - better to make it clear as soon as possible that he meant no harm. he would have responded to the question but was cut off by the terrified shriek, wincing and chuckling nervously when he quickly realized the reason for the reaction. they were also very clearly pointing at toothless who had looked behind them again, apparently not realizing that he was the "something" that was pointed out. "woah! no, no, no, it's alright, he's okay." hiccup insisted, stepping back and twisting to the side to stroke the top of the dragon's head, all the while keeping his eye on the stranger, "he doesn-we don't mean any harm," the rider reassured before turning to toothless and smiling, scratching beneath the dragon's chin, "isn't that right bud? you're not so scary, are you?" hiccup teased, the night fury responding with a throaty sound similar to a laugh when hiccup looked at the younger male again, stepping away from the dragon and gesturing towards him. "neither of us want to hurt you." his gaze briefly flitting to their hand that was grabbing at the hilt of a sword, mentally making a note of the weapon and shifting his posture slightly so that if it came to it, he could grab at the cylinder strapped to his calf which held the retractable blade of his own sword, "there's no need for weapons, let's just calm down, okay?"

indent remaining where he was stood, hiccup presented his hands completely in view to show he wasn't armed then glanced back at toothless who carefully stepped forward, body lowered considerably to appear less threatening warbling a greeting. "see? we're all friends here, nobody has to get hurt. i'm hiccup, this is toothless." the chief introduced, smiling albeit warily. "what's your name?" he inquired, hoping to at least introduce some form of normalcy to the interaction despite their circumstances.

indent adrien studied the purple rose presented to him, blinking in confusion at first before gently taking it, still somewhat perplexed by the friendly gesture. now, it wasn't like he wasn't used to people giving roses - he knew all too well what it was like to do so but not have the gesture reciprocated, particularly in his many attempts to win over his partner in crime fighting, ladybug - and in such a bizarre situation he knew he shouldn't be so surprised by being given a flower (it was the least strange of all the happenings in their circumstances, after all) but he still found himself momentarily at a loss for words. "er-thanks." the teenager dipped his head in gratitude, smiling sheepishly when he realized that whole time he had a blank look on his face - that must have been making it awkward. tucking the rose into the pocket of his white shirt, adrien's gaze flitted from his companion and roamed across their environment once again, "have you met other humans before?" he eventually questioned, still increasingly intrigued by 8, "where did you come from - you're not from here? uh, i'm from paris." he continued to ask, motioning to himself when mentioning the city, "have you been to paris before? i'm sure it probably would have been on the news if someone saw you, unless you're able to change your head, or cover it up?" was he rambling? probably. clearing his throat with a laugh, adrien smiled again, averting his gaze, "sorry, i've just...never seen anybody like you before."

9S [01]

Postby Zaperrex » Thu Mar 26, 2020 9:48 am

    【YORHA UNIT 9S】
    【 MALE | ANDROID | NIER: AUTOMATA | TAGS: MAKOTO 】

Audio functionality comes first. He recognizes the feminine monotone of Pod 153, though he doesn't quite catch what is said. Visuals follow, static clearing to allow soil, grass, and trees to come into focus. Details he does not expect: cobblestone, lanterns, a dense fog. A forest much darker than the one he knows. This is decidedly not the region he's usually deployed in. For the life of him, 9S can't recall how he might have gotten here. He doesn't even remember setting out. He staggers to his feet and turns to his pod, hovering behind his shoulder as always. "...What's... going on?"

153's reply comes after a slightly troubling delay. "Situation unclear. Location unknown. Unable to contact the Bunker."

He tenses, wary of any machine lifeforms lurking in the mist and shadows. "Communications are being jammed?"

    "Negative. Signal not found."

Well, that's odd. They aren't underground or anything. But it happens. He should head for higher ground to look for better reception. "Is 2B here too?"

"Negative. No black box signals detected."

Oh. So he's alone. He swallows his disappointment. Anyways, he needs to get back. What about Operation Berlin 046? For all he knows, it's already under way. He hopes they haven't marked him as a deserter. YoRHa is touchy like that.

9S begins following the path. The stones are worn, but the lanterns are lit, meaning someone must be maintaining this place. With luck, that could be the Resistance. The next possibility which comes to mind are machines. Probably cut off from the network—those are becoming kind of notorious for doing baffling things. Although... he wonders what will happen now with Adam and Eve gone. The plan is to strike now while their enemies are thrown off balance, but who really knows how the machine network will cope with this loss. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad to stumble upon some machines if it means he'll be able to collect some information.

"Proposal: Unit 9S should state his intentions."

"Let's see where this takes us. We need to find a way to reestablish contact with the Bunker. Let me know if you manage to reconnect, okay?"

    "Acknowledged."

The next ten minutes are pretty uneventful. Snippets of bird song make the forest seem a little less eerie. At one point, he sees a deer. Otherwise, it's mostly the same. Unfortunately, he doesn't have anything with him aside from Cruel Oath. If he had some animal bait with him, he might have tried to find a moose to ride. Instead, he breaks into a sprint, hoping to reach the edge of the forest.

He thinks the trees are starting to thin when the figure of an android catches his eyes, prompting him to come to a quick stop. She's dressed... not like anyone he knows, but given that she's not in YoRHa uniform, she's probably Resistance. He flashes her an embarrassed smile. "Hey! I'm not sure how I got dumped into this forest, so, um, I could use some help. Is there a Resistance camp close by?"

      Genji Shimada!!
xxxxmale thirty-five years old overwatch tagged: open
      ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

It was an unpleasant awakening for Genji as he came to and found his face covered by his face plate already. Despite how much he wore it, he never dared sleep in it, at least at night, yet here he had awoken with it already on causing slight panic to rise in his chest. Had someone been messing with him during the night? The thought was unsettling though he doubted anyone he worked with would do such a thing, however, it was possible that the had been attacked by the likes of Talon. If that happened, he was sure he would have awoken the moment an intruder was spotted. That left him back at square one. However, before he could continue to question such a thing, he became aware of his current surroundings. No longer was he in the comfort of his small living quarters, but rather in a wooded area, completely out in the open. More important questions began flooding his mind as he pushed himself into a crouch. "What is going on?" he mumbled softly to himself. His gaze began darting around the area trying to find some kind of familiarity to it, but it was to no avail. Nothing about this place rang any bells in his mind. That put the cyborg more on edge. Curling his fingers into a fist, the shurikens dispensed themselves between his fingers. Whoever had dragged him here couldn't have gotten far or so that was what he wished to believe. Squeezing the small blades, Genji slowly rose to his full height and continued to look around, trying to find any source of life, but it was to no avail. The only movement around him was the sway of the grass and branches overhead, but that was from the breeze that swept through.

Cursing softly to himself, Genji allowed himself to relax. With no immediate threat in sight, there was no reason for him to be too uptight. He would figure things out. He always did. Still he was under rather odd circumstances. His first thought was to find some way of contacting someone, but as quickly as the idea came, his mind shut it down. He had nothing that could aid in such a thing; no intercom device, no cellphone and no radio of any sort. He was entirely on his own. It wasn't something he was unfamiliar with, but given that this place gave him an uneasy feeling, he couldn't help allowing a pang of worry to overcome him. Still the ninja kept a cool facade. If something were to go wrong he was armed. That was a good thing. Even without looking, he could feel both his blades attached to his back. Whoever or whatever had dragged him to his place certainly hadn't thought over the consequences of allowing him to be armed, but he would not complain. Pushing the thought aside, Genji lowered his left hand to curl around the handle of his wakizashi as he began scanning the area once again. This time he wasn't in search of someone else, but rather the best path to take. As he settled upon a path to take, the ninja strode forward with quiet steps, doing his best to keep his presence as undetectable as he could. It never hurt to be safe. In this situation it was for the better because if he took too much damage to his body he doubted he'd find an easy fix nor would he find someone who knew how to tend to him either. That was one of the downsides to being away from those he was accustomed with. Letting a sigh escape his lips, the cyborg pushed the thought from his mind. Nothing was going to happen. He was going to hold his own and if things got too difficult for even him to handle, he would make a swift retreat.

Doing his best to keep his thoughts positive, Genji continued forth, making sure to be vigilant as he did so. Nothing was going to take him by surprise. Feeling his grip tighten around his wakizashi, the ninja allowed the rest of his body to take on a more defensive stance as he moved, showing he was more than ready for anything that might come his way.

      Makoto Niijima!!

      ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Exhaustion had been the only reason Makoto had finally fallen asleep the night before. She had been up yet again studying away and keeping herself on top of all her school work. It had become even more important since she had joined the Phantom Thieves. If she let her work as a thief distract her too much then others might notice that she was up to something, more specifically her sister might pick up on the fact that she was doing something else. Then again, it seemed Sae was never home anyways. Nevertheless, she still stayed on top of her work in order to hide any suspicions that might be raised. However, working herself to the point of exhaustion had become the norm because of such. Feeling herself begin to stir from her slumber, a soft groan escaped the teenager's lips. Her body felt stiff and whatever she was laying on no longer felt comfortable at all. Her first thought was that it was the kitchen table, but even her groggy mind could tell she was laying flat and not hunched over in a chair with her head on buried in her arms on the table. Squinting, Makoto hadn't been expecting to be greeted by nature's own light, but that was exactly what she got. That was enough to bring her shock. Why was she outside? That was somewhere she never found herself sleeping. It wasn't as if she spent a great majority of her time outside to begin with. Most would describe her as a bit of a shut in although not particularly at her own house, but rather at the library or in the student council room at Shujin Academy. In the last few months she spent plenty of time at Leblanc as well. Most of those places she had never found herself sleeping in either despite her worth ethic. That once again lead her back to the question of where she was. She had no answers to such a question.

As her vision finally started coming to, Makoto's confusion only seemed to grow. It was clear that she was in a forest of sorts. She couldn't even recall seeing such a place in a long time and there certainly wasn't anywhere like it near the city. Had someone kidnapped her and dragged her far away from home then? That thought was enough to cause panic to rise in her chest. Her heart began to race and she staggered to her feet. For someone who usually did not react in such a manner, she couldn't help feeling an overwhelming wave of emotions run through her in the moment. It was in that panic that she caught sight of the tekkos laying on the ground near where she had previously been resting. That only caused more confusion to ensue. What were her tekkos doing here? Usually they only appeared when she was in the Metaverse. That was finally when it hit her what she was wearing. How she had missed it before, she wasn't sure. She could feel the metallic mask resting upon her face and her skintight suit clinging to her body. "This is weird," she mumbled under he breath as she leaned down to grab her weapons. Curling her hands around their handles, she lowered both hands to her sides and looked around. Nobody seemed to be around her, not even her teammates. Were they even here? Part of her wanted to believe they were especially since it seemed she was in the Metaverse or something akin to it. However, she had to prepare herself for the worst. Being alone was just that situation. Sucking in a deep breath, Makoto rolled back her shoulders and shifted both her tekkos into one hand as she reached up to pull her mask off. "Johanna!" she uttered as the mask burst into a flurry of blue flames. In a matter of seconds the persona formed before her very eyes and a faint smile crossed the girl's lips.

"It's just me and you Johanna," Makoto began as he hung her weapons on the side of the motorcycle-like persona. "I was hoping to explore this place rather quickly and see if we can find some way out or someone else. I don't seem to have my phone with me so escaping that way isn't an option. Will you help me?" A soft hum came from the persona signalling that she was in agreement with Makoto. Giving a small nod of her head, Makoto allowed herself to mount the bike and turn her in the direction she wished to go. "Let us go explore, Johanna!" With those words, the teen took off, keeping her persona at a rather slow place as they began traversing through the forest in search of answers. Weaving her away through the trees carefully, she soon came to an area where they seemed to thin and slowed Johanna to a halt. It seemed like her search had amounted to nothing thus far. Frowning, she climbed off the persona and allowed her to turn into a mask once more. It was in that moment that she was prepared to continue on until she heard a voice ring out behind her. Freezing in place, Makoto glanced over her shoulder toward its owner and allowed her gaze to settle upon 9S. His words confused her. What did he mean by the Resistance? "I'm not sure I can help you with that," she said, allowing herself to turn to face the boy entirely. "I was dumped in this forest as well." As soon as she finished speaking, she began thinking over what he had said. Was there some kind of war happening in this place? Nothing like that ever happened in the Metaverse nor was she aware of any wars happening in any nearby places. Such a thing left the teen confused and wondering what exactly she had been thrown into this time.

“what?! you’re telling me that that monster is your pet or something, what even is that thing?!” he shouted in disbelief. he was having a lot of trouble identifying what he was looking at, which only made him panic more. however, his terrified expression softened into a look of confusion as he watched the man pet the large beast, almost like it was some sort of dog, kindly reassuring him he and the monster didn't mean any harm as he did so. as if to prove his point of not wanting to hurt him, the creature seemed to attempt to appear less threatening by lowering itself closer to the ground. in spite of that, it didn’t stop the younger boy from taking another cautious step back as it took a careful step forward. after some hesitation, zenitsu nodded in agreement and lowered his quivering hand away from the hilt of his sword, letting both of his hands fall to his sides. “s-sorry..” he mumbled, feeling kind of bad, as shown by the shameful look that crossed over his face. despite the gesture of reaching for his blade, he didn’t have any intent of actually fighting the thing or the man. if worst came to worst, he was ready to book it the second either of them showed any signs of aggression.

as the man proceeded to introduce himself to be hiccup, and the monster as toothless. zenitsu’s confusion seemed to intensify at how odd their names were to him. “zenitsu... my name’s zenitsu.” he managed to say finally in response, seeming to have calmed himself down slightly. however, his calmness didn’t last more than a few seconds, and just like that he seemed to remember his surroundings and current situation. in an overdramatic manner he fell to his knees, looking up at hiccup with a distressed expression. “you’ve gotta help me! i have no idea where i am, and no clue how i got here. do you know how to get out of these woods, can you please tell me where i am?” he begged hastily, tears running down his face. “i’ve been wandering in circles for hours trying to find a way out, i thought i was going to die!” the boy spluttered.

The cold fog, the crisp smell of moisture and pine needles, with no trace of lingering rot on the cold breeze...well, it was certainly a wake-up call, if nothing else. In theory (but purely in theory) it could've been a pleasant change of scenery. Anything, arguably, could've been a pleasant change of scenery from the interior of an old, repurposed factory surrounded by a thorough wall of zombies that kept it protected. But, when that was what you knew, a place where you were in control, then the quiet outdoors could be nothing short of spine-chilling. Or just chilling, really, since this fog was not only dreary but also unpleasantly cold. Negan zipped up his jacket as he dusted himself off, hauling himself stiffly to his feet with a discontented sneer. His first thought, aside from internal debate about his surroundings, was to look for Lucille. If whoever had dragged him out here into the middle of nowhere had left her behind without him, then they were about to have even more hell to pay. Fortunately - both for him and whoever was responsible for this mess - he found her close at hand, lying unharmed on the rough-hewn cobblestone road. That was certainly no way to treat a lady, but it was a hell of a lot better than her not being around at all. Negan's scowl turned into a faint hint of a smile as he brought the old baseball bat up to rest against his shoulder. There was no mistaking Lucille for anyone else, not when she was back in his hands; years of carrying and swinging that same bat had worn his grip unmistakably into the tapered hilt. So, that was one problem solved, but there was still an arguably much bigger one hovering over his head: where the hell was he? This kind of frigid fog was certainly not anything he'd ever encountered in the temperate southeast, but what confounded him even more than that was the presence of this stone path which cut through the wild-looking woods around him. Somewhere ahead of him, what appeared to be a lantern flickered and swayed by the roadside. It was all decidedly primitive, from his point of view. At least back home there were remnant structures of a civilized world, things to be salvaged or built upon. Where in the world did they still have stone roads, or navigate by lanternlight? Negan sighed aloud to himself at the sinking feeling that he wouldn't be figuring out where he was any time soon - not to mention how he'd even gotten here. On the surface, it almost seemed like someone's idea of a cruel, sick joke from someone with a sense of humor just as dark as his own: knocking someone out and dragging them into the middle of nowhere, leaving them to their own devices when it came to getting back to where they'd come from.

"Alright, if this is someone's idea of a joke, you can come out now." Negan barked into the empty wilderness. His answer was a rustling in the undergrowth which he immediately tensed at, only to see a doe go fleeing off into the trees. Negan relaxed his grip on his weapon with another exasperated sigh. If nothing else, seeing animal life around was a positive, at least where survival was concerned. Negan had survived for months on his own, living off rabbits and opposums and any other quick little creatures that had managed to avoid becoming walker bait, so there was no reason he couldn't do just that again. If necessary, of course; with any luck this would turn out to be a bizarrely vivid dream or something and everything would straighten itself out. But, if that wasn't the case, he didn't doubt his own ability to survive. This place would be hard-pressed to throw anything at him that was that much worse than what his own world had thrown at him, after all. But, in his mind, the best option he had right now was to head down the road. If it was here, that meant somebody had made it, and nobody built roads that led to nowhere, right? It had to eventually run in to some sort of civilization - or the ruins of some sort of civilization. Even then, that could still help him better understand where he actually was, and what he was dealing with. Since his earlier exclamation would've doubtlessly drawn in anything or anyone who wanted to come after him, Negan made sure to keep his eyes peeled as he followed the old stone road. That wasn't particularly easy with so much mist around, and such also generated a strange unsettling feeling that hung in the air like...well, mist.

He'd thought the sleepwalking was over. But, waking up to the undeniable chill of cold outdoor air and the smells of pine needles and moisture, Will feared the worst. He held his breath in his throat and scrambled to take stock of his environment, sitting upright with his eyes wide and fearful. However, what he saw was not what he had expected: this was not, in fact, the deciduous wilderness of Wolf Trap, Virginia. It was somewhere different, somewhere he'd never been. Cold, foggy, and painted in shades of pine. The trail that led through the woods was not an asphalt road nor a dusty hiking path, but an archaic stone road dotted with lanterns on posts. In his perception, they were relics of a time gone by, and he could manifest no logical reason for their existence. He felt awake, felt aware, felt in control; yet his surroundings were mystifying and irrational, as if his consciousness had separated from reality. Even if he had been sleepwalking, he could not fathom how he would've gotten to a different biome, let alone to a place where roads of cobblestone were still utilized in such a fashion. His eyes flickered back and forth as he analyzed, mired in his own thought, before he closed them and took several deep breaths. This lasted for a few moments, almost as if he were in a trance, before Will opened his eyes again and faced his strange surroundings a second time. Nothing had changed. Resigned, Will rose to his feet and took in this environment as slowly and methodically as possible. There was animal life - a crow sat on a distant bough, above the fog, staring at him transfixed as though it had never seen a being quite like him before. Its feathers rose and ruffled as it yawped a few discordant notes into the mist. Not frightened; that was good. They were not as easily startled as some other birds, but would still flee if they felt the presence of a threat. Will took that as an indicator that it was safe to think for a moment, as he took cautious steps forward to assess the tangibility of this enigmatic realm. The ground beneath him was solid; he felt the cold and the moisture of the fog as it slowly meandered around him. This was as real as anything he had ever perceived, yet he felt a reluctance within himself to accept it as reality. A conundrum, certainly, but he would find an answer one way or another. As he walked slowly down the road, he made note of the plants that hugged it - tall coniferous trees, bracken ferns, juniper, some flowers he didn't immediately recognize. He was in the northern hemisphere, with certainty, and it looked well enough like North America for him to not have ended up on a different continent.

If that was even the question. What he feared was an unexplainable shift through time or across plane of existence, something neither he nor his species in collective understood in any reasonable capacity where he was from. How was he to rationalize that to himself? At the moment, he had merely put up a veil of disbelief and denial to keep such a revelation away, save it for a time when he was less shocked and had all of his faculties about him. As he made his way down the road, he came to realize that there was a river nearby. Will picked up speed for a few moments, going to the edge of the road so that he could see the waterway. It was fairly fast-moving, but not too broad, and a short stone bridge a little ways upriver seemed to span it quite efficiently. It seemed pristine, with a soothing sort of sound to the way it rush over its rocky bed. It would have been rather beautiful if it had not been lodged in such a cryptic and bewildering realm. In that regard, it seemed almost coy and dangerous in its serenity, resonating with old folktales which told of people being trapped in the fey realm by its beauty, only to lose years behind them in the real world. This place, all-in-all, was simply too eerie and absent to be so beautiful. Perhaps, to the common and less analytical eye, lacking the kind of keen intuition of someone like Will, it was just bewitching enough. It was unlike him to think in such mystical terms, but it was difficult for him to rationalize the irrational without going to somewhat irrational lengths himself. As myths most often sprung from a lack of understanding of real phenomena, it seemed perhaps as reasonable as it could that Will had found his way into a bewitching parallel plane or dimension, one where time and perception were distorted relative to the concrete world, and perhaps even a plane where many had walked before. If that was the case (or even if it wasn't), he needed to keep his wits about him.

Luca [ 1 ]

Postby Reiji » Fri Mar 27, 2020 1:57 am

      Luca Dragomir // Male // 17 // JJBA oc // tags; Genji
Sleeping outside in the grass, that's a new low for Luca. Sometimes he'd be kept outside of the house but even then a servant would carry him inside afterwards, bearing pity for their young master. He was a dead sleeper, he'd sooner fall off his bed than to wake up so at first he wasn't too alarmed by this situation. Groggily waking up, he brushed his bangs out of his vision so he can see his surroundings clearly. At first, confusion hadn't settled into his still-asleep state but he became more aware of how strange it is to wake up outside, blinking slowly and rubbing his eyes to get rid of the early-morning tears. It only took a few seconds for him to get alarmed, giving the place the concern that it deserved as he stood up on hit feet quickly. His body felt uncomfortable and for a lack of a better word, mangled. To no one's surprise, sleeping on pure dirt and grass with stone bits here and there wasn't a luxurious experience. He felt disconnected to his limbs by the caked dirt as he shook them off, more annoyed than anything else. 'This is definitely not a welcoming experience.' Luca commented to himself inside his head. He had camped in the woods before, enjoying the simple life of being one with nature but he still had a sleeping bag then or the tree house half an hour walk away from their family's property, stoked with stuffed dolls of animals and locked with padlocks with bug netting. He had never slept or laid in pure dirt before. A part of him mentally scolded him for being more focused on having woken up on the ground than what kind of situation he was in. Luca looked around for a sign of life, immediately prepared after the lost morning daze. This had not been the first time something like this happened.

After confirming there were no real threats or dangers, Luca had taken a walk through the forest that he had woken up in. It looked pretty normal though he has seen strange shapes of creatures in the far distance. His shoes were thankfully fitted to walk through the wild paths of the woods, jumping over any logs or obstacles. He avoided the heavy forages, finding the slight brush against his bare skin to be ticklish to his sensitive senses. Was this the work of an enemy stand? He can't feel any strange energies but what else could explain suddenly being stripped away? Luca was usually insightful but being distracted with what could be laying ahead of this path, he tripped on a stray root, barely managing to trip in a river by his stand appearing and grabbing a nearby low hanging branch. "Jojo isn't here to save you, get that out of your head." Coin Locker Baby's forceful voice told it's user, dismissing the thought lingering in the back of Luca's head. Luca had always been independent but a part of him questioned if he had became more mellow towards his only friend. He needed to be stronger than this. Tripping up over nothing while thinking- this was so unlike him. He blamed it on the stress these past few days but he knew he had more willpower than to succumb to his own head and finding excuses. "I... I'm just worried." about what? Coin Locker Baby squinted all of its eyes towards Luca, an apathetic judgement being laid upon him. The stand scoffed. "Tch. Freca menta." The stand indirectly insulted Luca and disappeared as soon as it came, back into him. Luca nodded to himself and stood by the river for a few more seconds. Clenching his fist, he knew he had to proceed with a clear mind, focused on finding a way back to group or at least, find out what is happening. It could still be a stand ability to he needed to proceed with caution.

Luca hopped over a large fallen tree. He had seen a few strange objects, hinting at a civilization of some sort. It's a curious development. Will he be able to find someone else in this large forest? Pulling the jacket half worn over his elbows, Luca ran quietly through the cobblestone path, patters of his shoes sounding whenever he put in too much force into his toe tips. Looking around as he came through it, he paused in place in silence when he saw a clear figure in his sights. It was a bit far from him but he can still see a few features that weren't familiar. It looked futuristic- like a robot. Catching a sight of the a longsword by the figure's side, Luca's guards were put up. Was this the stand user? It's suspicious, for sure. Then again, he had his stand by him to help if he got in trouble. Still cautious, he approached the figure slowly. Approaching closer to it's proximity, the figure seems amsculine and had features of a ninja. He only knew about those because of Jokuko's obsession with them. Braving himself, he took a deep breath and put up his best smile. He will confront other people sooner or later, right? Maybe this person knows something about this place or maybe, they could be in the same situation as he is. It wasn't out of question due to the contrast in the stranger's appearance and the surroundings. "Hi, hello-? Excuse me." Luca put up his best submissive voice and appeared smaller than he is- which isn't really that hard. He lowered his back and waved shyly. "I just woke up here, are you familiar with this place?" Luca spoke loud enough for the stranger to hear from a distance, hoping to not look dangerous or bring about a threat.

indent hiccup breathed a quiet sigh of relief when the younger boy apologized and removed his hand from the hilt of his weapon, he was pleased to see that the encounter wasn't going to become a hostile one. it wasn't everyday that he would get to find someone who put their weapons away the first time that they were asked, but then again most of the new people he met were dragon trappers so the whole interaction was filled to the brim with hostility; the classic back and forth of them trying to trap dragons, hiccup and the dragon riders arriving to free the dragons, rinse and repeat. admittedly it wasn't a great feeling knowing that dragons were still out there being mistreated by other vikings who hadn't yet learnt of the importance of earning their loyalty but thankfully it seemed like arriving on the back of an infamous night fury was enough to convince people that they could be tamed. besides, night furies' reputation wasn't the best one, hiccup found it hard to believe that once he thought that they were violent and relentlessly aggressive monsters; although if that was all he was told as a child he had no choice but to accept it until he experienced meeting a night fury first hand.

indent "zen...itsu? zenitsu. well, uh, creative name?" hiccup commented with a sheepish laugh, clearing his throat and tossing his shoulders up in a shrug accompanied by a smile. he supposed the name hiccup wasn't the best either, though, so he really had no right to talk about weird names. even so, the name zenitsu was still an odd one, at least by viking standards. seeing the boy dramatically drop to his knees sobbing for an explanation, hiccup blinked a few times and exchanged a questioning glance with toothless, "er...i-uh, i'm sorry i-i can't...answer that?" the chief explained, his tone softening at the pitiful display of distress. carefully, hiccup also knelt down in front of zenitsu so that he could match the height, awkwardly placing a comforting hand on the teenager's shoulder and offering a cautiously optimistic smile, "b-but hey! hey, look on the bright side, you met us. we can work together to find a way out of here, okay?" hiccup reasoned, motioning towards toothless, "when we get out of this forest i'm sure toothless wouldn't mind you joining us to look around." then he glanced back at the dragon, "isn't that right, boy?" the question earning a rumble from toothless' throat and a nod of his head. satsified with the response, hiccup looked at zenitsu again, still smiling, "that was a yes, in case you couldn't tell." he chuckled lightly, "if we stick together we have better chances of finding answers and i can answer any of your questions about toothless along the way. we can protect you too, although it looks like you're probably pretty capable yourself," with that he gestured towards the boy's weapon.
