He sat quietly on the stage as he read a new book he retrieved from the shelf near pirates Cove. Foxy had been removed from the area to be scrapped and replaced.
He noticed a familiar voice fill his head. He looked up to see who was speaking.

Nightmare

Nightmare scrounged around the back alley as a bear, his matted black fur hiding him in the dawn of the day. He tried to find a scent from Jayden, as Kathyrnn had asked him to find him after he ran off. It was difficult, though, since Jayden was a clever kid; you never know where he might be next. Nightmare sighed when he found no scent, moving over to the back entrance of the restaurant. He suddenly gagged when he saw a bloody animatronic out by the dumpsters, flies surrounding it in small swarms. "Whatever happened here must have gone horribly," Nightmare assumed.

They exited the family shop as they were tired of being cooped up in the building with nothing to do. Besides staring at an antique that was encased in a glass wooden box, easily viewable to anyone that ever crossed its path. What was this infamous antique that caused the family to move? Ah..that won't be revealed anytime soon, I'm afraid.

But Adrien was a bit excited to go out and explore the town- there was so much to see! Especially that pizzeria that they drove by a couple of times- too bad that they haven't heard the recent news on what had gone down there. "Are you sure we should stray this far from home?"

By home- yes they also mean the family business being their home. They live upstairs...Literally a bad idea if the antique shop was ever robbed. But oh well, who would rob that old place?

"I...I'm sure it's fine!" Adrien laughed, still dragging his sister behind him. He was excited. Where they were going? Oh..just to the park. Completely unaware of a roaming creature on the loose.

Nightmare

Male--Nightmare Animatronic--Tags: Fredrick, Adrien, Alexis

Nightmare roamed around, trying to find Jayden's scent. He became more and more frustrated when he couldn't find anything. Huffing, he walked over to a nearby park as the sun rose higher in the sky. Suddenly, Nightmare was pushed backward by a flurry of brown fur. "FREDRICK! Don't scare me like that!" Nightmare growled as the now visible bear chuckled. "If you were going out to find Jayden without me, then you'd be damned that I wouldn't scare you!" Fredrick got off of Nightmare with a smirk. Nightmare sighed, explaining to Fredrick "Listen here, Fredrick. We are in serious trouble. Glitchtrap is back, and Jayden went missing.". Fredrick stared blankly at Nightmare as he continued on: "My most probable guess is that he's at the hospital with Douglas. He wanted to 'revert' him, as he put it.". "What are we going to do then?" Fredrick asked, patting at his ear. Nightmare took a long pause, thinking as he looked at the empty park. "I'll figure something out..." He mumbled.

The twins somewhat bickered back and forth on the way there. It wasn't all that bad, just playful bantering. Once they were at the park, they froze into place. Now, what would make the two freeze? Well, bears, of course.

Adrien stared at the two bears- what were they doing in a park? Let alone in a town like this?! Their legs were locked into place as they couldn't find the strength to move.

What broke their trance was when Alexis screamed and grabbed her brother's arm before darting away. There was no way they're going to be mauled by such hideous monsters. But they didn't know that they were monsters. Maybe they were friends like in those fables that their mother read to them sometimes...Probably not. But oh well. Now was not the time to change their mind about the bears being their friends- they knew what bears are capable of, but they weren't going to figure that out themselves if those facts were true or just to instill fear into kids to keep them away from the forest at night.

Nightmare

Nightmare paused, staring at Fredrick from what just happened. "Fredrick. No." He told him firmly as Fredrick's eye began to twitch. "Running, run, run, NEED TO RUN!" Fredrick started to run after the children, making Nightmare shriek. "Fredrick, no!" He ran after Fredrick, trying to catch up to him. The sad part was that Fredrick was faster than Nightmare, but Nightmare was a lot stockier than the lean bear. If he could get a grip on Fredrick, and that was a big "if", then he could pin him down and stop him from mauling the kids.

Adrien did what you are not supposed to when there is someone chasing you- look back. And that's what exactly what he did. He tried to run faster when he realized that the brown bear was charging after them. He tried to pull away from his sister so they could run in a different direction, but he ended up on the ground instead, dragging his sister down with him. Alexis screamed as she landed on the ground and tried to pull her brother up so they can continue running, but it was no use as her brother was too terrified to move. "Adrien! Come on!" she shrieked. Adrien finally snapped out of it when his sister finally got him up but were they too late? Let's see.

Nightmare

Nightmare gripped the scruff of Fredrick's neck, stopping him from attacking the kid. He pulled him back, throwing him down onto the sand harshly. Fredrick blinked, waking up from his sudden rampage. "Did... did I go berserk again?" He asked himself, but Nightmare nodded. Nightmare sighed, knowing fairly well that the children saw him take down his friend. With a huff, he shifted into his animatronic form, but didn't include his stomach mouth or his other scary parts. "There's a lot to explain, but DON'T freak out," Nightmare told the kids as Fredrick shifted into his animatronic form as well.

They both watched as the two bears...fought? They watched as one of the bears threw down the other, yelling at them. And not with bear noises- actual human speech. The two shook and tried to scootch away but they were too afraid to do that- as one of the bears changed before their very own eyes. When the bear told them not to freak out, they started to freak out, but internally. How were you supposed to tell two kids not to freak out?!

"W...Who..who are you?" Adrien cried. Alexis started to scoot back a little, but Adrien was still frozen in place, practically on the verge of tears right now.
