Jared sighed, looking around at the different people. So many people made him just a little uncomfortable and he gripped his cup. He quickly gulped it down and threw it away. After a few more minutes, he turned and looked in the living room. Paint was everywhere, the walls, the floors, and all over Zila and Avalon. He leaned on the wall, and smiled. He said,"You're a good painter..." He crossed his arms, leaning mostly on his left side and waited to see what they would paint next

[Hemera]

"Okay," Zila stepped up to the wall with the black paint brush and began to draw it across the wall, the lines beginning to form a rose. She finished the delicate-looking petals and moved on to stem, with its thorns and one leaf. When she had finished, she stepped away, amazed by how it looked. She turned to Avalon, handed her the paintbrushes and stalked out of the room.

Jared sighed, wanting to go after her but he didn't really want to annoy her. He walked over to Avalon, a worry look crossed his face the slightest. He said,"Do you know what's going on with her?" He knew Avalon knew who he was talking about. He looked her in the eyes, wanting someone to tell him the truth for once.

[Le Chi]

She took the paintbrushes, and sighed... Was there ever any pleasing this girl? She turned to Jared, "I don't know... In a way I wish she would just stop and talk. Let it go. If she thinks she's in any danger, she doesn't have to worry about it, we're so alike, yet I don't think she knows much anything about me..." She looked up at the painting she had just made, "I never got to meet her, but she is the reason for all of this... She was the only one who cared..." She looks down, and starts crying a bit. She hits the wall with her fist. Stupid parents, stupid world... Why was it all full of hate? And why was the majority of the hate directed towards her?

Jared sighed, taking her in his strong arms, being sure to be gentle. He knew he really just met her, but he could never stand to see anyone cry. He rested his head on hers, she was just a little bit shorter. He said,"I am sure there are others who care." He let a tear fall, but ignored it. He never cried, or at least not in public. He sighed again, feeling the room's mood go down.

[Le Chi]

She was slowly being moved, then wrapped in someone's arms. It was Jared... She looked up at him for a second. She knew she would usually be freaking out right now, but with the way she felt (which was really cruddy) she needed the comfort. She heard him and smiled letting a tear fall herself, "Now I know of one more person." She turned around slowly, still allowing him to encircle her, and saw his tear, she wiped it away, smiling. Then she reached up and gave him a hug. She let go for a moment, then kissed him lightly on the cheek. "Thanks, it's been hard all my life, but at least now I know it's getting better." She smiled.



It had been a long day and he needed to chill. For one he was really disappointed when Elysa never showed up at the library. He sighed. He walked up to the house, and saw the door somewhat open. He went in, making sure to close the door behind him. He saw a few people here and there, but no Elysa. He walked around and found one lone empty room. It needed something. He began drawing a scenery, trees, fields, and a cool blue sky...

Jared smiled, or at least tried to. He said,"You are never alone ok?" This time, he knew his smile was warmer. He knew he needed to cheer one other person up. He to Avalon,"I should probably go find Zila..." He stood where he was, incase she needed him again.

[Le Chi]

Avalon looked at Jared and nodded then replied to his second sentence, "I can help, I have a pretty good idea of where she might have wandered off to." She took a deep breath and smiled. She was better. She took Jared's hand gently and led him around her maze-like house. She stepped into a hallway. All of the windows were stain glass, and looked very alluring in the moonlight. She kept walking and reached a circular room, with a glass room where you could see the stars above. She always came her at night, even if there was no true purpose. Zila's back was turned, and she was looking up at the stars herself. She turned to Jared, "I've got to go back to my party, make sure everyone's ok." She smiled, looked at Zila, and back to Jared, "Make sure she's ok, I myself really want to help in any way possible." She smiled and let go of his hand. She sprinted back down the hallway and saw more than a few people dancing. She herself danced her way in as well.


After he was finished, he smiled. It was a good painting. He turned and went back to the party. As he walked around the dance floor there were more people. He picked out Avalon, Damien, Desiree... And Elysa. He walked forward, and then leaned against the wall, in a way staring at her, but not in a bad way.

Jared sighed, thanking her silently. He watched Avalon leave the room, and then turned to Zila. He said in a soft, friendly tone,"Zila...I have always been here for you...why can't you tell me anything anymore?" His feelings were hurt, and everytime she didn't tell him anything, it just extended the pain. He wanted, no needed, answeres now. He needed to help in anyway possible. He walked foward a little, trying to get through to her, as if that would help.

[Hemera]

"What?" Zila asked in confusion, turning quickly to face him, the moon light shining on her face as she looked at him. She knew that he wanted to help but didn't know what to do about it.
