- Thor’s gaze returned to his brother’s. He enjoyed the embrace, something he hadn’t thought he would.
“Perhaps I can forgive you and not myself because I can control my actions, but I cannot control yours.”
Thor paused, considering his words.
“I doubt my judgment makes any sense. It’s just, you’ve always been the bad guy and I’ve always been the good. You cause the mischief, and I follow you around and correct it.”
Thor’s eye narrowed. The soft creak of the door echoed through the room, louder then it originally was. Loki was shifting the blame onto himself, wasn’t he?
Thor almost agreed with him, Loki could’ve prevented everything. But, Thanos likely would’ve found another way. Another way to cause chaos and pain.
Why was his brother so complicated? Off and on, one day they would team up to fight the enemy and the next Loki was standing right beside them.
Thor was never so emotional back then. He hadn’t realized it, but his brother’s response, Loki’s attempt at comfort, really dissolved the barrier keeping the realization from hitting him.
“Loki, if we keep this up we will continue to pass the blame around as if it was a game of catch.”
Thor leaned back in his chair, forcing a little smile.
“So, brother, how are ‘Earth’s Mightest Heroes’ doing?” Thor asked in a attempt to change the subject. “How are your kids?”
