It warmed Loki more than he would like to admit to hear Thor speak of how he would never stop caring for him. It was the forgiveness that a deep buried part of him had been desperate for. He'd been so afraid for the past few years that Thor was finally finished with him, and that his brother no longer wished to have any contact with him whatsoever. He was happy to learn that such fears were not the reality. He gave a small nod, and his eyes trailed back down to the table between them. Two boys desperately trying to understand each other. Wasn't that the truth. So many conflicts between them might have been avoided had they understood one another better. They were two sides of the same coin, as one might say, and perhaps their paths would never really diverge from each other in full. It was a thought which comforted him, in a way. They may not have their parents or their original home anymore, but at least they still had each other.
Glancing back up at Thor, Loki followed his gaze toward Jormungandr and smiled slightly. Perhaps someday Loki would take his family and move them to New Asgard. He hadn't thought that they would be welcome before, but seeing Thor now and hearing his forgiveness, it seemed like much more of a viable option to Loki. Blinking in surprise when he heard that the Valkyrie was apparently leading New Asgard instead of Thor, Loki was about to say something, but quickly stopped himself. Thor was suddenly leaning his head into his hands and going on about how he was to blame for everything that had happened. This was unfamiliar territory. Loki was unused to dealing with such an emotional response from Thor. Not since their youth, anyway. Loki opened his mouth to speak, paused for a moment as he went over his thoughts, and then reached across the table to put his own hand on Thor's shoulder.
"Thor, you are not to blame." Loki firmly stated. "I may not know all of what you have been through, or what you've done in the years since we parted, but if you can forgive me for taking the tesseract and making it possible for Thanos to acquire it, then why not forgive yourself?" He asked, not thinking for a second that Thor could've done anything worse than what he himself had done. Thor wasn't the type to make such mistakes. He was a great oaf at times, sure, but a heroic one. "I... should have warned you, many years ago. I should've warned everyone of what the mad titan was planning. I knew that he was collecting stones and a part of me knew what he must've been planning to do with them, and yet I hadn't told a soul. I'm not even entirely sure why." Loki also didn't know why he was attempting to pin the blame back onto himself, but perhaps it was because it felt more, well, normal.

In Fenrir's absence, Oliver hadn't thought that he'd be revisiting Sleipnir until the dog returned with the requested vetrenarian or some other person with equine knowledge. However, his own curiosity about something was a nagging sensation that Oliver couldn't quite quell. So, with a devise from the labs in hand, the Hydra agent strolled back down toward the cells below their facility. No one said a word as he passed. The hall was not as long as their previous buildings, but the row of cells looked similar in bleakness and misery. They were sterile and devoid of personality. Someone could very easily go mad within these walls, but that was of no really concern to Hydra. Oliver pressed his hand to the scanner on Sleipnir's cell and it opened with a whirl. He stepped inside, shut the down behind him, and sighed. "You really look awful." He said, though he was unsure if Sleipnir could even hear him. His plans were unlikely to work. Not in the state that Sleipnir was in, but he felt too giddy about his finished project not to try it out on someone, and they only had one shapeshifter as a prisoner. Bending down, Oliver went to attach something to Sleipnir's wrist. It was thick and metal, and it hummed with technology enhanced by what seidr they'd sapped from Loki's blood when they'd briefly held him captive. If it worked, then it would prevent Sleipnir from changing forms without Oliver's express permission. He just didn't know if Sleipnir could even shapeshift at all in his current state.
