Sleipnir || Jotun || Chaotic Nuetral || Alleigned - ??? || Equine - human form|| HYDRA Holding || Open?

How many days has it been? How long has he been in their clutches again? He can't remember anymore. His breathing comes in slow, ragged breathes, slowly opening his eyes and blinking a few times threw a half lidded gaze. The floor beneath him is warm but rough, probably some kind of tile or concrete thats just sucked up all his body heat and left him shivering.

He attempts to sit himself up, he doesn't even remember passing out. His arms give out from under him and he collapses onto the ground again with a low noise of pain. He just needs to hold on. Keep a hold of his reserved seidr. Even as his vision blurrs and he can't support his head anymore, letting it drop to the ground as his eyes close and he's out once more.

Jormungandr || Asguardian/Jotun || Nuetral || No allience || Reptilian - serpent form|| New York Apartment || Loki

jormungandr has a thing for being close to the ground. Its why his sleeping space is one of those traditional floor futons. So its easy to awaken to the movements of his father when he's up. Blind white eye slowly opening and blinking slowly, yawning and stretching a bit in response before allowing his human guise to slip away, slither out of the room. Its only once he's partly to the kitchen does he let his form slip back into its human look, bare footed and in a dark grey sleeper thats to big even for him with how it hangs off his hands.

But he's tiredly rubbing at his eyes as he trails into the kitchen. The lightest of hums escaping him in the direction of his father and where he stands. They live a good life from what he can tell. Despite the serpent being minimalistic in a way. He does not care much for these lavish goods. Other then well, the tub. But can you blame him for a creature that spent its days coiled around the planet like a never ending chain threw its oceans. He's curious to what section of the city they may look into today for the eldest. Maybe even fenrir. The dog had been acting odd. Taunting, biting, never a real fight, he flees before then. But only after he gives some snide remark about sleipnir's conditions. Its like he was either trying to break loki or help them. He's not sure.

Fenrir || Asgardian || Chaotic evil || Hydra || human || New york streets || Open?

Bundled thickly like an animal in its winter coat. His hands buried into the thick pockets of the black fluff lined trench coat he wore. Face half buried into a black scarf, bright blue eyes focused forward as he walked down the busy new york streets. A low huff escaping him, warm breath visibly puffing out from gaps in the scarf as he moves. The cold cools his heat, even if he hates it for multiple reasons. It doesn't ease the ache from the chains hidden from midgaurdian view. He's simply going for a retrieval. A mundane one at that.

Yeah, funny, task the dog to retrieve your morning coffee and breakfast foods. He's going to ruin the coffee thats for sure. Maybe dump it into a toilet then refill the cups with that toilet water mixed coffee. Should send someone else to do this not someone of his caliber! This should be oliver's job. He bares his teeth a little under the scarf at the mere thought of the other man and his thoughts trail to just how he could take him down a few pegs. The mere thought of oliver's blood on his teeth gets him to drag his tongue over his teeth in return. Even as he opens the door to a coffee shop, pausing to hold it open for an older couple.

He offers them a sweet and warm smile under the scarf, head tilted slightly as they coo and thank him before he steps in after them, finally tugging the scarf loose and away from his mouth as he lifts a hand, greets the person at the counter. He's asked if he wants his usual mass order and nods his head, but adds in a Strawberry mocha drink with a a ham and cheese sandwich as well. He can treat himself from time to time. So the person laughs but nods and he goes to take a seat as he waits.

((Thats perftly fine! Even gave me a place to put him. Hahaha.))

Oliver Doyle
Location: HYDRA base | Tags: Sleipnir and Fenrir (mentioned)

They had moved Sleipnir to Hydra's new local facility. They could more easily contain him and other powered individuals there. It wasn't as well equipped as their old facility, but it was better than trying to work from a makeshift safe-house. Oliver had regained some of his status within Hydra after bringing Sleipnir in once more, gaining back some of the reputation that he'd had before the whole fiasco with the old building had happened. What also did, oddly enough, work somewhat to his advantage was the... incident. People had suddenly and without explanation disappeared from existence. It had thrown Hydra into chaos. Not only did they lose nearly half of their agents and workers, but half of their acquired assets. There had been a mad scramble for power and Oliver, having been lucky enough to escape the cull, had used the disappearance of some of those who outranked him to his own advantage and climbed the ranks in their absence. The lost eventually returned years later, and quite recently, but the new hierarchy had already been established. Those returning to Hydra just had to slot themselves back into the mix in the best way that they could manage.

Walking down the steps into the building's holding area, Oliver pushed his way into the monitoring room and peered up at the screens which displayed those unfortunate enough to be languishing away in their cells. One of those was Sleipnir. The shapeshifter did not appear to be doing well, and while Oliver didn't necessarily care about the creature's mental stability, the decline of it's physical health was worrying. Sleipnir was possibly the most interesting and valuable specimen within their facility. If the creature died... Oliver would not be happy about that. Not at all. He growled under his breath, causing those few around him within the room to tense slightly. Oliver was a bit of a joke among his colleagues when he wasn't around, but when he was around, well, few really wanted to upset him on a bad day.
"Alert me if his condition declines any further." He voiced before leaving. Fenrir had gone out on an errand, but he needed to speak with him once the dog returned.

Loki Odinson

The sound of light footsteps drew his attention, and Loki turned in time to see Jormungandr sleepily entering the kitchen.
'Good morning.' Loki allowed his seidr to vibrate from his fingertips and toward his son in greeting. There was a sort of fondness within Loki's green-blue eyes for just a moment. An expression that he did not often display. As distraught as he was about his eldest son's abduction, the fact that he still had Jormun was something he had to thank the Norns for, at least. The past few years could had ended much differently for them, if Loki hadn't played his cards right. He could have lost Jormungandr, as so many others lost their loved ones, or he could have lost himself. A hand raised toward his neck at the distressing memory before he caught himself and halted the movement, lowering his hand once more.

Years ago, Thanos had finally caught up with him. It hadn't been entirely unexpected, but it was still a frightening experience that Loki had not honestly expected to walk away from. He'd forfeited the tesseract almost immediately, was nearly strangled to death despite his compliance, but was spared at the very last moment. He often wondered what might have happened had he fought back, instead. Would he have been able to keep the tesseract and kill the Titan? Probably not. He more likely would have lost his own life and left Jormungandr alone and Sleipnir without anyone searching for him. Loki shook his head. As 'dishonorable' as his compliance might have been, it did enable him to live. And the Titan was dead now, anyway. No harm done, right? The fact that he hadn't heard a word from Thor in years told him otherwise, but perhaps it really was time to tread a different path than his brother, as much as the thought of never again seeing Thor stung.

Loki motioned for Jormungandr to come closer before pointing through the glass of the window toward a industrial section of the vast city. They'd checked there before, some time ago, but sometime about it just begged to be checked again.
'There. That's where we go today.' He sent to Jormun with a hum. He hoped that Jormungandr was not growing tired of the search. Loki didn't believe that he could ever give up on Sleipnir, even though the odds of them finding him were growing more and more slim. Fenrir's taunts about Sleipnir's condition did just as much to spur Loki onward as they did to hurt him. Fenrir was a bit of a mystery, to be perfectly honest. Like Jormun, Loki sometimes wondered if Fen was attempting to help them in some small way. He'd had every opportunity to give them a real fight, and yet he'd chose to flee more often instead. It made no sense, but was a puzzle to sort out.

Jormungandr || Asguardian/Jotun || Nuetral || No allience || Reptilian - human form|| New York Apartment || Loki

Jormungandr looked towards loki at the feeling, waving gently before approaching. It takes a long moment however, of just staring out the window to know exactly where his father was pointing and tilted his head in response, seemingly curious an confused at the same time. Searching was harder but easier in the past, with the lack of people. But now many of these people are back. He liked it better when there were less people around. Sometimes it really felt like they were getting closer to finding sleipnir. But now with all the humans back, it felt like such a dream was getting more and more distant. His hands move gently in his form of communication.

'Didn't we search there already? Last time we searched there Fenrir had informed us that he was not resting well. That they kept him working.' Its concerning. But Sleipnir is stubborn. Not even odin could break him. So they could only hope that Sleipnir stayed that stubborn.

Fenrir || Asgardian || Chaotic evil || Hydra || human || New york streets || Oliver

He waits surprisingly patently, playing on his phone until his order is called up. Thus he nods and tucks it away, taking the things and paying for it easily with the cash in hand. He idles a bit just to eat his own food and his drink before he'd throw out the trash and fix his scarf back over half his face. He'd wave to the couple behind the counter and leave with the coffee and bag of food. He only goes there because its close, and was the only one that was open when half the population was culled.

The wife had been distraught about the loss of her husband. Fenrir surprisingly had stayed with her a few times to help around the shop. It got him away from hydra. It got him to think. He closes his eyes, shaking his head and huffing to himself. Foolish. But all well. He'll walk back to the false entrance to the facility. Head in and take the items to the 'break room' where he'd call out the people he'd gotten things for as he hangs up his scarf and jacket.

While its being divided up, he gets told Oliver is looking for him. His expression remains pretty nuetral as he simply nods, sticking his hands in his pockets. "Very well. i'll go see what he wants." He stated in a monotone expression before he stepped out and headed off, whistling to himself.

Loki's eyes shut for a moment, trying to keep his emotions in check. Sleipnir was strong. He shouldn't break, and yet Hydra's cruelty had surprised even Loki before, and he had not been their captive nearly as long as Sleipnir now had. He opened his eyes again, staring at the place that they had checked before, but that he'd been planning on searching again.
'Do you have anywhere else in mind?' He asked Jormungandr, not unkindly. He was open to other suggestions. They'd been at this for so long now without much real progress that Loki was willing to ignore his own instincts in favor of taking a different approach. Loki took a sip of his coffee as he waited for Jormun's response. He had actually grown rather fond of the Midgardian beverage during his stay on this planet, and though it didn't do nearly as much to energize him as it did to a typical human, it did still somehow manage to take the edge off of his exhaustion sometimes when sleep evaded him.

Receiving word that Fenrir was back within Hydra's base, Oliver didn't really waste any time in heading up toward the main level where he presumed Fenrir to be. He pulled a tablet from his satchel, retrieved the results from the latest tests they'd done on Sleipnir, and glared down at them as he walked. It really didn't look good. Sleipnir was declining. Oliver had wanted to break the shapshifter's mind, but leave it's strength and physical health intact. Clearly something had gone wrong. Glancing up from the scan, he quite literally nearly bumped straight into Fenrir. He sucked in a slight hiss of surprise before his mind caught up to himself and he practically shoved the tablet toward Fenrir's face.

"Look at this." He growled, holding the tablet up by one hand while using his other to jab a finger at the most worrying results on screen. "This should not be happening. We've kept hoards of inhumans and mutants and whatever other freaks the universe has decided to spit into our world, and we're usually good at keeping them alive. Broken, but alive and strong when we need them to be. So, explain to me, dog, why the spawn of a god looks like it might die on us." His voice did not rise to a shout, but it was quite obvious that had they been in a more private setting it definitely would have.

Jormungandr || Asguardian/Jotun || Nuetral || No allience || Reptilian - human form|| New York Apartment || Loki - Fenrir (mentioned)

Jormungandr tilts his head a bit to ponder the question, tongue faintly flickering out just to taste the air for a moment before his tongue retreated and he shifted his footing alittle. 'What if.... Instead of looking for a horse. We look for a dog?' He responded. Fenrir always seemed to find them, which meant he must be out and about in the city quite a bit. Meaning if fenrir could instead be located and his routine found out, then it would be easier to find sleipnir wouldn't it? So targetting their search towards fenrir might just be the break they needed to find sleipnir instead.

Fenrir || Asgardian || Chaotic evil || Hydra || human || Hydra base || Oliver - Sleipnir(mentioned)

Fenrir raised a brow over one of his crystal blue eyes, huffing a bit but takes the tablet from the other to look it over. "Even gods can fall Oliver. Remember that." He retorted with a roll of his eyes as he looked it over, reading the results and huffing alittle. "And he's not a full god. Remember the story. Loki turned into a mare to trick the steed of a jotun and keep Odin's wife from being given to the jotun and all. He's half a god, half an animal." He stated as he started to walk forward, obviously to head down to the holding area now and see just how bad his brother was.

"You've been working him both physically and mentally but not how it should be done. From the looks of it it looks like its an ailment from the equine species called Azoturia. Azoturia is a condition that affects the muscles. It can cause problems such as cramping and stiffness, thus why he can barely support himself now. It usually develops after a horse has been overexerted and while is left to rest for a day theres no changes to its diet to support any damaged muscles, thus they don't heal properly. In addition to the cramps and stiffness, he may stagger, have an elevated temperature, sweat, an elevated heart rate, incredible pain. The pain may be so bad that standing may be difficult or impossible for some horses. Which is what he's displaying. The usual way to treat this condition, besides seeking the assistance of a vet and allow the animal to rest. Is to give anti-inflammatories and muscle relaxants not to mention the muscles absolutely have to be massaged. Recovery may take as long as eight weeks. He states, huffing and waving around the tablet as he speaks in an almost condescending manner.

"Usually smart horse owners and all can prevent azoturia from occurring by adjusting the feed on days of rest and properly warming and cooling down their horses so theres no muscle damage. I keep telling you, not everything can be brute forced. Your actions have consequences. And here's one of them. Your about to lose your precious, precious little show pony, because you think gods have no flaws." He retorted with a roll of his eyes and an annoyed huff.

"Did you even think of calling the medical staff the moment he showed even a hint of poor health? N'aw? Didn't think so." He snipped.

Loki understood Jormungandr's meaning, and he considered it. It wasn't a bad idea, really. It was actually quite a good one. They'd been chasing around looking for Sleipnir for so long. They'd never specifically gone after Fenrir, though. Loki had tried to track him once before, but it hadn't quite worked in the way that he'd hoped.
'That might just work.' Loki replied with a small nod. It was certainly a better plan that their usual 'search, be found by Fenrir, taunted by him, and then go home empty handed' routine. Usually Loki attempted to avoid confrontations with Fenrir, as it more often than not only served to upset him. 'Shall we let Fenrir find us today?' He asked, looking toward the more densely populated sections of the city now. The god placed his hand on Jormun's shoulder for just a moment before he headed toward the door and the elevators that would bring them down to ground level. Travel by tesseract had been so much simpler, but that was an option long since gone. He shifted his clothing's appearance to that of a winter coat and scarf ensemble. He really didn't need a coat or scarf, being unable to really feel the bite of the cold, but fitting into the crowd was easier when you dressed for the weather like everyone else. And he still needed to fit in as best he could, lest someone recognize him and cause a scene.

---

Oliver Doyle
Location: HYDRA base | Tags: Fenrir and Sleipnir (direct)

"Yes, yes, I know the story." Oliver replied with clear distaste as he followed Fenrir down to the holding area. "I just didn't expect for him to be so fragile. I guess that I should have, with him being the offspring of a runt." He bit out, his frustration with the whole situation palpable. They'd done so many tests on the blood samples they'd collected from Loki though, and what they gathered was that the Jotun was incredible durable. Even for it's size. Oliver had expected Sleipnir to be similarly resilient, but he hadn't really taken into consideration him being only half-god. He probably should have, but the mind ignores what it doesn't want to face. "But you're stronger than Loki." Oliver voiced, not wanting to stroke the dog's ego, but finding it necessary to state the facts. "Why is that?" He asked as they reached the stairway and began their descent.

He listened to Fenrir's explanation of what appeared to be happening to Sleipnir and scoffed. An ailment that a common horse might suffer from? Great. Just great.
"In case you haven't noticed, we don't have vets in our employment. We have an animal testing department, sure, but if any of our regular animal assets become this useless to us, we put them down." He stated bluntly. Oliver wasn't about to give massages to Sleipnir, though he supposed that he could order someone else to do it for him. With a sigh, the Hydra agent ran a scarred hand through his dark hair. "I could probably find a vet." He admitted. "And if they even think about talking about what they see in here, I could always kill them." Oliver said with an almost nonchalant shrug.

Oliver really didn't appreciate how condescending Fenrir's tone was becoming, though. His eyes began to narrow into a glare as they came to Sleipnir's cell and for a moment or two it looked as if Oliver might hit Fenrir. He didn't, though. He just held up a finger to silence him.
"Watch your tone, dog. I think you sometimes forget that I outrank you. If you aren't a bit more careful, you might end up in a cell just like this one someday." He threatened, though his voice barely carried above a whisper. Turning away from Fenrir, he pressed his thumb against a scanner in the wall, causing there to be a series of whirls as Sleipnir's cell unlocked. As soon as it opened, Oliver stepped into the doorway and crossed his arms over his chest as he peered down at Sleipnir's weak and rather pathetic form, clear disappointment in his icy eyes. "I can't just stop working him, by the way. I have my orders, too. He's the most interesting specimen we have in here. My superiors aren't going to approve of granting him a cozy little rest while he recovers. Maybe if we had more eight legged hoses to test in his place, but we don't."

Jormungandr || Asguardian/Jotun || Nuetral || No allience || Reptilian - human form|| New York Apartment || Loki

Jormungandr nodded his head in return, seeming happy that loki thought his idea to be brillant. So he follows after the man, following the vibrations of his foot steps easily and grabbing his coat along the way. He doesn't exactly like the elevator, but it'll have to do. So they need to be out and about, fenrir usually finds them pretty quickly. So lets just hope thats the case for today.

Fenrir || Asgardian || Chaotic evil || Hydra || human || Hydra base || Oliver - Sleipnir

Fenrir grins a bit when Oliver pointed out him being stronger, teeth bared slightly in his smile. "You've never met my mother. Be glad for that. The one who brings grief, Angrboða. Jotun by nature yes. But when you're related to the serpent that will devour the world tree and the overlord of the underworld Hel. You tend to have a reputation. Not to mention when you spend your growing days being raised and trained by every asgardian 'god' on the planes so you can be controlled only for it to be useless. My prophetic life is but a simple one." He stated with a grin on his lips as he steps into the cell to look at his unconscious brother.

His breathing is slow and steady as fenrir crouched beside him, feeling his sides and counting ribs. He scrunches his nose a bit at this and huffs. "You haven't been feeding him very much either. No wonder he's gone down." He stated with a small huff, moving to stand up once more. "Guess i'll being going out again then. Aquire us an asset that can do equine care.In the mean time, get an actual bed in here for him to rest on. If the higher ups want to keep this asset alive, then they best be willing to start making some sacrifices. That includes you ollie. I don't think it'd be easy for a human to surivive losing an arm or a hand as it would be a god." He stated with a grin on his lips.

Once outside, Loki decided to let Jormungandr take the lead. It was his idea to let Fenrir come to them, after all. His sharp eyes glanced around at their surroundings while they walked, awaiting Fenrir's appearance. He almost always found them, even when they were trying to avoid him. So, Loki fully expected to cross paths with Fenrir today. He was still deciding on how exactly they were going to go about tracking him after the inevitable confrontation, though. Fenrir never really seemed to have any desire to truly fight them anymore. Not seriously, at any rate. If his son said any more taunts about how badly his eldest was faring in Hydra's cells, however, then Loki might just be tempted to strike at him.

Oliver frowned a bit as Fenrir examined Sleipnir.
"We've been feeding him plenty." He argued, though he had to admit to himself that nether he nor anyone else tending to Sleipnir's care knew just how much the creature could eat. Maybe they were underfeeding him. He couldn't be blamed, though. How was he supposed to know? There weren't exactly books on the subject of feeding a mythical creature. When Fenrir stood and announced that he would be leaving again, Oliver gave a hum of acknowledgement. "Fine. Get someone good, but discreet. We don't need anyone outside of our own catching onto our whereabouts." He said, not wanting another repeat incident with SHIELD.

Oliver didn't so much as blink when Fenrir threatened him. He merely gave a cold smile of his own.
"Maybe if you spent more time collecting assets than you do playing around with your dear old dad and younger brother, then we would've had more specimens to work on and Slippy wouldn't have been so overworked in the first place." He sneered in a mocking tone, making it known that Hydra knew about Fenrir's rather fruitless confrontations with his family.

Jormungandr || Asguardian/Jotun || Nuetral || No allience || Reptilian - human form|| New York Apartment || Loki

Jormungandr nods his head once more and begins to lead the little search. His tongue flicking out gently on occasion because fenrir has a distinct... taste in a way. So he leads along curiously. Occasionally looking back just to ensure father is close by just incase fenrir does rear his head on them before they could find him. Jormungandr is still trying to figure out how fenrir keeps getting the drop on them every time. Does he just blend in that well with the midgaurdians now? Was it some kind of thing hydra did that made them less susceptible to detecting him? Or was their inability to find them normally from something else?

Fenrir || Asgardian || Chaotic evil || Hydra || human || Hydra base || Oliver

Fenrir just smiles as he tilts his head a bit. "Yeah but unlike you my interaction rate isn't a one out of ten on the living scale. More people leave my precense alive then yours. Especially the specimens. And if it wasn't for me you'd lost of lost slippy a long time ago. So perhaps you should watch your mouth. Otherwise. My tongue might just slip to the higher ups about just how many of their valuable specimens you lose." He stated with a grin on his lips before he'd move to step out, moving back to the higher floors so he could get his coat and scarf again. His tongue running over his teeth at the moment with a hum.

Loki kept close to Jormungandr, putting up a casual and relaxed facade to mask how very alert he was of his surroundings. He allowed for his seidr to trail outward, moving invisible through the crowds that they passed through, trying to detect Fenrir's energy among the masses of humans who lived and worked within the heart of the city. Loki really couldn't decide on whether or not he even liked living in the city. There were some days where the god hated the place. The people were often unpleasant and the atmosphere noisy and dirty. But there were other days where he enjoyed the bustle and could at least appreciate the view from their flat. Loki's gaze caught sight of a tall building in the distance. What used to be Stark Tower. It was a familiar enough sight, and yet it seemed to draw his attention quite often. He shook his head and looked away, side stepping a couple of Midgardian tourists taking selfies. Humans were sometimes strange and Loki was still growing used to their behavior.

Oliver opened his mouth as if to say something scathing, but promptly shut it again. It really wasn't worth it. He glared after Fenrir as he left though, annoyed and tense. He turned his glare onto Sleipnir and gave the poor creature a nudge with the side of his boot. This whole situation was honestly just becoming a pain in the neck. Those up in the labs were making plenty of progress and advancements in weapons and technology all thanks to the tests they'd been performing on Sleipnir, and Oliver took pride in what his work was accomplishing for Hydra, but he didn't enjoy watching as his valued prize deteriorate under the strain. It wasn't sentimentality, he told himself, but likely possessiveness on his part. They were ruining his stuff.
