Cayenne Nowak ~ 20 years old ~ female ~ straight ~OC, Fandom: Avengers ~ Tags: Open
Cayenne felt something was not right. Very not right. She murmured something quietly and slowly opened her eyes. In the next moment, a piece of ceiling fell on the ground. The young woman quivered, but didn't scream. Slowly, she rose up, keeping her hands on her head in case something else was about to fall off. From what she could see, she was in a very old and abandoned building, to not straight up say ruin. She was alone in the room. Good. Her mind needed some time to clear everything up, and that would certainly not happen with crowds around her.
That was when she noticed something on the floor. Two pieces of paper. One, smaller, might've been a letter, while the second one looked like a map. She picked up the map first, and sighed after seeing it. She never was good in geography, but she was sure it wasn't Earth. She picked up a letter now and started reading it.
"Dear Reader, blah, blah blah, I was hoping - don't, blah, blah blah, rebuilding home, great" she read it quietly, adding her own comments.
So, what did she know? She was thrown in there by some madman who calls themselves "X", she was supposed to help rebuild life here, she had no supplies and no place to stay. That wasn't a perfect beginning.
X. Who the hell even signs themself as X?
She tried to compare writing style and used words to people she knew. It must've been someone who knew her. A complete stranger wouldn't be mad enough to throw a random person into that place... Would they?
She didn't know. She had no idea what to do. Leaving this building was the best option, as it looked like it was about to crush at any moment. She quickly grabbed a backpack (which she hadn't even noticed before), map and the letter and left the building.
It was hot outside. Very hot actually. Like in the middle of the summer. It wasn't the best time to travel, but she had to.
A safe place you say, huh? So that was the main goal of her travel. She gets there, and she can go home. It wasn't as simple though. I suggest not looking for it , mhm thanks, but how was she supposed to find it now.
She stopped walking, realising it was pointless. She didn't even know where to go, or how big that "city" was. She looked around, and quickly found two buildings standing next to each other, one a bit smaller than the second one. She walked closer. Now she could see a ladder. Old and rusty, but definetely a ladder. She stepped on it. It didn't move. Good, she thought, climbing up. It wasn't hard, the ladder was still in pretty good state. When she was on the top, she started judging the height of the next building. The height difference was larger than she thought before, but she could make it. Cayenne changed into her horse form, trotted around a little, then made a huge jump. She did it, and was now standing on the top. White horse with intensively purple eyes looked around. That didn't helo a lot, you couldn't easily tell where the forest started and city ended.

((Eddie thinking
V thinking
V talking out loud
Venom talking”))

Eddie BrockVenom

Male | Venom/Marvel | Symbiote | Tagged: Joker

Even though Joker promised he wouldn’t be scared and that Arsene wouldn’t attack Them, Venom was mentally prepared to run away. Not because Joker was a threat (not much could hurt Them) but to keep Joker safe. A freak out would attract attention, most likely in the form of mutated monsters. And also to hide Their shame. Aww, the big bad monster has feelings. Yes, They do! So sue Them. Everyone screams in terror or tries to kill Them, even the people They save as a vigilante. It hurts.

So Venom awkwardly stood with what was probably a really stupid expression on Their face, waiting for the scream. Instead, Joker chuckled, and said he’d seen a lot worse. Venom felt Their heart melt a little and grinned, “Thank you Joker! You are too kind.” Although They wondered what exactly the poor teen had to deal with that was scarier than Them...

Joker continued and corrected Them, saying the Arsene wasn’t magical in nature. Well that was unexpected, but then again the teen was from a whole other universe. They shrugged Their shoulders. It didn’t really matter how Joker’s or Arsene’s powers worked. The teen continued, refusing to let Venom fight alone. They huffed. What a familiar attitude...Joker was definitely a hero, “Fine.” They replied. It wasn’t worth fighting, and frankly Their instinctual objection to letting a teen fight alongside Them was ageist and silly. They would let the kid pull his own weight and try not to hover like a helicopter parent.

Arsene returned in a rush of wind. Venom looked up to meet his gaze—Wow someone is taller than Us—and gave a small nod. Then he looked to Joker and somehow communicated what he saw. The teen relayed his plan—to act as a decoy so Venom could make a quick kill—and returned Arsene to his mask form. In a quick shot of a hidden grappling hook, the teen was off on the second floor of the crumbling building. Venom was suddenly reminded of Robin from the Batman comics and stifled a chuckle. Clearly Joker was the sneaky type of vigilante.

They reminded themselves to be serious, lowering their stance and letting Their tongue out to taste the air. For such a big creature, They weren’t bad at stealth: it was simply a matter knowing Their limits. They couldn’t get too close, but They could sneak up and make a leap. That was Venom’s plan for today. They snuck into the building, camouflaged the same shade of grey and dirt brown as the walls to blend in, and spied Their prey.

It looked like a big cat...if a tiger and a bear had a child, and that child had mange and reddish-brown, leathery skin. V had memories of things like it; creatures turned big and bald from radiation poisoning and mutations. Venom licked their lips. The “cat” was looking up and away from Them, and Joker taunting it rom above. They inched a big closer, then took a huge leap. The cat yowled and twisted in their grip, but Venom was on top of it and had it in a headlock. They wrenched its neck back to snap its spine but it was too thick. The cat lurched hard and suddenly Venom was on the floor with the cat above Them so They opened their jaws wide, wider than Their head and bit. Their jaws closed around the cat’s head. They swallowed. Now it was dead.

Venom righted Themself, gave a thumbs up to Joker, and started feasting on the rest of Their prey. Normally They wouldn’t eat the whole body but They couldn’t be picky in the apocalypse. Besides, the cat wasn’t bad. Not as tasty as the harbor seals that hang around Half Moon Bay, but not terrible.

      Ren Amamiya!!
xxxxmale seventeen years old persona 5 tagged: eddie / venom
      ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Everything seemed to go smoothly. Perhaps it was even better than Joker was used to with his own team, but then again shadows were much different than these creatures. Only the weak ones were easy to take out in one swift strike. The ones they dealt with were some of the strongest around, especially the shadows of the criminals they targeted. All of them could easily kill them if they made a single mistake in battle against them. However, the manner in which the beast was taken out in was also one that the teen was not used to. Despite all the things he had seen in the Metaverse and even in the real world, he couldn't help but feel a bit sick to his stomach at the sight. Seeing such actions taken made him understand why Arsene had worried. The persona probably could sense the kind of strength and power the other had unlike him. That thought was pushed aside as he saw Venom give him a thumbs up. Giving a small nod of his head, the teen was prepared to leave it at that and move on, but it seemed his new companion had other plans. The sight of Venom beginning to feast on the feline was enough to make Ren avert his gaze. Sure, it was a natural thing in life, but it wasn't something he wanted to watch. Perhaps it was because he was human that such things bothered him. It was clear that whatever Venom was, it was far from what he was although there was a human somewhere inside or at least that was where he assumed Eddie was. Deciding not to disrupt the other, the thief decided to plan for their next course of action. Before doing that, he was quick to put his knife back at his hip before climbing up onto the thin brick exterior that was still standing. Carefully walking along it, he quickly surveyed the area to make sure there were no other creatures in sight. From the looks of it, nothing else seemed to be lingering. There wasn't even any sign of other human life. He had fully be expecting others to be wandering about. The letter had made it seem that that would be the case, but maybe X had spread whomever he dragged here across the land. Spreading them out would make it more difficult to coordinate anything and if this X wanted them to rebuild then doing such was pointless unless that was their plan all along.

That thought was an interesting one and Ren wondered how true it might be. He had a hard time believing every word that had been presented to them in the letter. Something seemed off about it all. If X could pull people here then why couldn't he pull his people out into a safer universe instead of putting others in harms way? He assumed someone with such powers could do that. Maybe this was for their own enjoyment though. It was possible that X wished to see them struggle through this world. That also meant it was possible that the letter was a lie. Was their truly a safe place? Such a thought perplexed the teen and caused him to give a small shake of his head. Thinking in such a manner was probably for the worse. As much as he wanted to disprove everything they had been given, he knew the dangers in doing that right now. They had nothing else to go by and there was no telling if X would even show their face. Besides, he was sure that his own fate was at the others hand if such a thing were to be true. It could be entirely on purpose that they were letting him have access to his persona yet they could easily take away his powers if they so desired. Then what would he be? Nothing more than a regular high school student. Frowning slightly, Joker did his best to push such thoughts from his mind. He couldn't afford to shake himself at the moment. Until he had proof of something there wasn't even a point in bringing it up either. Clearing his mind, he focused back on the task he had originally been trying to accomplish. Doing yet another scan of the area, the teen confirmed that moving forward would be safe and that he had found the main road that seemed to lead out of the city. What awaited along it was something he could not say for certain though. Pushing his coat back, he dug into his pocket to pull out the folded up map and quickly opened it to look it over. Despite there being very little on the map it at least had some clear indicators on it; specifically the main roads. That was enough for him to determine which way it would lead them. Feeling satisfied with his work, Ren folded the map back up and tucked it away.

Turning his attention back towards Venom, he knew he would need to rely this information to them. That also meant he would have to try and ignore that they were current feasting. Sucking in a deep breath, the phantom thief jumped off the thin wall and landed back onto the perch he had previously been on. The jump down wasn't that high, but he needed to be careful to avoid landing in any debris that might cause him to hurt himself. Scanning the area quickly, he determined a safe place for him to land before leaping down. Landing a few feet away from his companion, Joker took a moment to brush any dirt off his outfit before turning to face them. "While you were eating, I scouted the area just beyond this place out," the teen stated. "There shouldn't be any more creatures waiting for us immediately and there's a main road up ahead that will take us West. Following it might be our best option although we may need supplies before we leave, if that's even a possibility."

      Poppi!!
xxxxfemale unknown xenoblade chronicles 2 tagged: yang
      ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

As optimistic as Poppi usually was, she found herself finding some doubt in the other girl's words. She wasn't sure there was really going to be much in terms of signs matching up with the map. Landmarks might be a better thing to go off of. There was definitely no mistaking a landmark and that was something that was very clearly laid out on the map itself. "Poppi thinks we should find a land mark rather than a sign. Land marks are easier to spot and the map has clear marks for them as well," she stated. Maybe her suggestion was because she wasn't used to using signs of any sort to navigate areas around Alrest. Such things didn't exist back in her home. Most of it was done either by a map, which her team didn't even use, or by word of mouth. Travelers were everywhere around her homeland and they were usually willing to lend a hand when it came to direction. That was clearly a luxury that they would not receive in this world though. She didn't have the confidence to ask a stranger for directions anyways. That was usually Rex's job although he was usually guided by Morag or Zeke through most of the titans. Pushing that thought aside, the artificial blade focused on what else had been thrown at her. Never before had she been called "blade girl" before. It seemed like a strange way to address her in the first place. Sure, she was an artificial blade, but that didn't mean that her name couldn't be used. In a way it almost felt as if she was being spoken down to rather than being spoken as an equal. She wouldn't voice such things though. Now wasn't the time nor would it benefit her in any manner either. For now she would have to accept such things and push past it. Besides, she had been called far worse before and looked down by many back in Alrest although she was also seen as a great advancement in technology by others. There was a balance. It was one that she had become used to. Again such things did not matter in the moment. Despite having asked the other which way they thought would be a good start, it seemed that she was the one needing to answer her own question. With her sense of direction, she was sure that wasn't the greatest of ideas, but there was no complaining. Taking a look around at her surroundings, Poppi found it difficult to pick which direction truly was the best to take. "Hm, Poppi thinks we should go that way," she said as she pointed off down the street to her left. From the looks of it the damage seemed to be worse that way. Maybe that would lead to some clues.

location: unknown

"alright, to the left, we go!" yang cheered, eyes closed and fist in the air. she began walking towards the direction poppi had pointed in, shuffling her feet in the dusty road. back at her place, there was no need for direction, really. people knew where to go and where to be at which times, and that was that. except... once theyd left beacon, they needed direction. she supposed she did use signs to help her out then, especially when on her bike. ahh, bumblebee. how she missed that bike. yang paused and sighed, wondering why id had to have been destroyed in her and blake's fight against adam. but it was for the best. after all, he was gone, and blake was safe. or so she hoped.
"poppi, you comin'?" yang asked, looking back and flipping her long blonde hair over her shoulder. her purple eyes lit up at the sight of the artificial blade. another person. er... well, kind of a person? another living thing, there, that worked. someone was with her, she wasnt alone, and that was all there was to it. it was comforting to have found someone so quickly, especially someone that was willing to work with her. yang was appreciative of poppi's intellect and insight.

xxxxxxx𝑭𝑬𝑳𝑰𝑿 . . . 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙖 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙜𝙤𝙡𝙙!
xxxxxxmale - thirty five - red vs. blue - just waking up - cayenne

waking up with a pounding head and an aching body was nothing new to felix; though in this situation, it was different. the pain wasn't anything like one to be experienced after a hangover, and it radiated in areas that made him gasp out softly when he attempted to move. the pain was from a lost fight, and felix has never lost a fight.

he groaned at the realization, and his eyes finally open to access the damage. his HUD flashes various alarms, something about cracked ribs and bruised bones. felix was almost surprised it wasn't worse, unless..

he had been falling. locus had betrayed him. the sim troopers outsmarted him. the sim troopers outsmarted him. "oh, for gods sake." he groaned from where he laid, looking up to the ceiling now. there was nothing above him that gave the allusion he fell through the roof, immediately raising a red flag. how had he gotten here if he hadn't fell into it? and where even was he?

he can see some blood managing to pour between the softer pieces of his armour. he looks around for some biofoam and is met with only a few pieces of equipment he had left. "well, isn't that convenient for you, locus." he grumbled to himself. the bitterness hasn't left his mouth yet, and he's trying to ignore the pain in his chest. when it gets nearly unbearable and he wants to scream, he begins to force himself to his feet, which gets a healthy amount of pained grunting.

felix barely manages to lean over and grab the note nearby, scanning through it a few times before crumbling it up and tossing it aside. "teleportation grenades. i need a teleportation grenade." he decided, checking his weapons and scanning the room before popping his helmet off. he takes a breath of fresh air, though it's dusty and gets him to wheezily cough. "christ, this is dusty." he grumbled, and turns on his heel to examine the surroundings.

a trickle catches his attention, wetness slipping from his head onto his eyebrow. he wipes it off with his gloved hand and stares at the barely noticeable red stain that begins to cover his fingers. felix sighs, closing his eyes for a moment before fixing his helmet back on. "yeah, whatever. i'm getting out of this hellhole." he decided, beginning out of the damaged building with the supplies that were left for him. imagine me, felix, dying to some crappy sim troopers, being teleported to another world, and locus betraying me. no. i'm gonna get back and kill them." maybe he was being serious, or perhaps he was trying to cheer himself up. either way, he hauled out of the building.

the heat hits him and makes him stagger, and his hud flashes in alarm before his suit adjusts a cooling system. christ. almost worse than chorus." felix grumbled, looking up at the glaring sun, and then examining hi surroundings. the white horse isn't difficult to spot, though a bit concerning. "what the hell?"

female thirty two dbd/saw tags; open

lightheaded, and feeling an unusual sense of strong fatigue, amanda was slipping back to consciousness from her rest. surely she would wake, and soon board another trial as usual. her half conscious brain was reminiscing about the previous trial, before her eyes began to open, and she was awake with some faint grogginess. facing a tattered wall, and musky scent she was not familiar with, the sense of discomfort made her weary, she began hesitantly inspecting her surroundings, while sitting up, she came across a note. odd, none of her other "partners" would leave it for her.. hell.. half of them couldn't even write. reading it, amanda now found herself in full defense mode, unsheathing the blade hidden under her sleeve, especially now understanding where she was, and what could lie outside.

she began viciously flipping the rusty metal chairs, and other pieces of worn down furniture found in the room, in an attempt to find the person who brought her here, but to no avail. the aesthetic of this place seemed similar to her own world, but it was different, and didn't provide her with that comfort of always knowing what's to come. her predatory instincts had also seemed to ease, much more than usual anyways.

now understanding where she was, she wanted to understand why. why her? hadn't she switched worlds enough already? and for what.. was this perhaps the entity's doing? but wouldn't it have been mentioned? mentioned her name? there were no traps, or weapons left for her, other than her own blade. so surely whoever brought her here was not planning on having her host any tests, not like the old ones anyways. she did find it odd waking up in her mask though, it was as if she never fell asleep. after the room was flipped around due to her outburst, she'd settled down a bit, understanding she'd need it to figure out how to get home, or even get out alive. amanda proceeded over to a small, broken window with iron bars across it. outside was a wasteland, not like she wasn't used to that though, it was just more, disheartening. even more so from this tall building. picking herself up, she made her way out of the building, walking down the broken cement stairs, to the disastrous outside world.

blade still unsheathed, she prepared herself to be charged at by one of those.. "things" mentioned in the letter. what was she kidding though, could they really be any more of a monster than she was? the endless killing and sacrificing was minimally on her mind now, more concerned for her own survival, and how to get out of this place. as confusing as this whole situation was, it was clear this was not a trial on behalf of the entity. she gazed off into the distance, scanning the world around her. catching the sight of broken, decaying buildings, old bits of what seemed to be machine parts scattered everywhere, and rusted broken cars that were now nothing but shells. everything so dead, not even plants seemed to thrive. it was at that, the memory of a mention about this "land" that could be reached to grant her the freedom she would soon long for. maybe she'd go after it, despite the advisory against it. that is, if she didn't find the would-be helpless soul that sent her here first. but, find her way around this world before any of that. maybe she was really destined to be here? and maybe, just maybe, she wasn't the only one sent to this wasteland.

Chūya Nakahara

male l 22 l Bungo Stray Dogs l ability-For The Tainted Sorrow l tagged-Natsuki

And that was exactly the opposite of what he had wanted to hear. The last thing the ability user needed right now was some hot headed young girl he just met tagging along. To begin with he still wasn't all that sure about her. Second, even if he didn't want to, Chūya knew he'd be protecting the young blonde from whatever dangers poped up on the way to the safe zone. Not to mention there was the fact he had no intention of bringing a souvenir of any sort home with him. What would the boss and Ane-san think if he suddenly showed up at Port Mafia headquarters out of the blue after being gone who knew how long with a moody teenager? The Gifted could already hear both of their assumptions and reactions to such a unexpected guest after his unexplained abstance. And the young man didn't like any of those ideas. Jeez was he going to need a good wine after this little adventure of his! "I don't need an apprentice kid, so don't think for one second I won't leave you behind if you fall behind. Better not weigh me down.", said Chūya reluctantly resigning to having a new traveling companion at least for a time, "If you do, or you turn out to be a threat, I won't hesitate to deal with you just because you're a kid. Our little truce is only until we reach this safe zone. Once we get there you're no longer my problem and can go it alone from then on out." Looking around the ruined city before turning around to get walking again, "Come on and keep your eyes and ears open for any sign of enemies. No telling what we'll find on this dump of a planet."[/quote]

      natsuki oshiro
female | persona 3 oc | feeling; wary | tagged; chuya

"you don't say," natsuki huffed as she shoved her hands in her skirt pockets, sounding quite bored. "once we get to the safe spot, whatever you want to do next is up to you. that is, if we can even get there alive." even in this stranger was less than pleasant, at the very least, natsuki wasn't completely alone if she was caught by one of those monsters. even if she was skilled with her nunchucks and persephone on hand, natsuki had no idea what these "monsters" were even capable of.
now that she thought about it again, her good eye silently went to her side as she scanned the stranger beside her. he didn't appear to have any weapons on him, yet he sounded so confident when it came to his skills. on one hand, natsuki pondered if he had some kind of ability that would help him fight off the monsters (should they attack), but on the other, it sounded somewhat farfetched. but then again, if she could summon a persona by firing a gun at her head and this 'x' person could bring her and many others into this wasteland, anything was possible.
"say," natsuki spoke, keeping her bored tone, but at the same time, raising an eyebrow warily. "you tell me to keep an eye out, but it doesn't seem like you have any weapons on you. how exactly are you going to fight off the monsters should they attack out of nowhere?"

(@wolfrunner; sorry for the late reply! got caught up with school these past few days. *u*)

Chūya Nakahara

male l 22 l Bungo Stray Dogs l ability-For The Tainted Sorrow l tagged-Natsuki

He said nothing about the blonde teen's tongue. Being that she wasn't his subordinate, or someone important in any form to him for that matter, there was no reason to care about her lack of respect or general manners. Plus the Gifted was just as short tempered as she was ever since he was fifteen, so faulting her would be hypocritical of him. No matter which way someone looked at it Chūya had zero right to call the teen out on her mouth. In fact being stuck with someone as short tempered as he was could almost, almost mind you, be considered karma at it's finest. He was willing to bet the mafia boss and Ane-san would get a kick out of hearing the blue eyed petite Executive had to put up with something similar to what they had to with him. As for her question?

It was a fair question, particularly in the circumstances the pair found themselves in. Chūya knew that. It was also one which he should have expected to be asked eventually given said circumstances curtesy of X. Yet it wasn't a question that had been at the forefront of the young man's thoughts....showing his new temporary traveling companion his power. He was so used to keeping company that were all fully aware of his combat capabilities that the thought didn't really flag. Ane-san....Mori....his subordinates...even the members of the Armed Detective Agency now thanks to his ex-partner spilling the beans on him to them. They all already knew of the copper haired man's power so explaining things to the teen wasn't something he gave a thought about. Still Chūya supposed giving the the blonde a warning to not try anything foolish, if not reassurance of being able to trust him to back her up for now, couldn't hurt. Plus he needed to see if his ability was even still useable in this new world so rather then finding out on the fly... Pausing before turning to face his companion, "You've got those nunchuks right? Take them out. You hold onto one end and I'll hold the other."

Eddie BrockVenom

Male | Venom/Marvel | Symbiote | Tagged: Joker

Venom ate quickly, knowing that Their “eating habits” were disturbing to humans, and that a threat could come at any minute. They heard and ‘saw’ Joker climb atop a wall and survey the area. Smart child. V commented on their mind. Eddie agreed; the kid was a natural at the vigilante business. He kept watch without asking when a member of the group was vulnerable. Not that a symbiote user was ever truly vulnerable—Klyntar can see from all parts of their body—but Joker didn’t know that and acted accordingly.

A couple minutes later, Joker hopper back down surprisingly quiet. Venom kept Their back to him and quickly licked their face clean. By that point the corpse was nothing more than bones and some bits and pieces. They turned around and gave a smile as Joker addressed Them, “Clever, Joker,” They praised, “Using the road is a good idea. Supplies would be helpful, too...We don’t need much, but you will. We only need fresh meat, and that’s easy to find.” They paused, resting a claw on Their chin in thought, “We can search any less damaged buildings around the road as we go? We are fast and can smell like a bloodhound, which will help too.
