After a while longer of trying to study, Colt had skipped over to the next chapter, which he found to understand much better, so he wrote the notes for it quickly, it all clicking in his mind. It meant he was using the time more wisely, rather than struggling on one thing.
After a bit, though, he did return to the parts he was struggling at. He tried to read the section one more time, checking over what he'd underlined before to see if they made any more sense. For some of them, having read the next part helped, so he used a red pen to draw over the original underline. For the other few parts he didn't understand... Colt let out a groan, then, having no other choice, he turned slowly in the chair to face Jesica, watching as she shot an arrow into the wall.
He was quiet for a few moments, before holding out his notebook. "... Can you lend a hand..?" he asked, his voice quiet and very reluctant.

"...Well, it just helps me swim." Cato said, taking a few moments to watch Leon's tails flick. Then, he lowered his tail back into the lake. He liked Leon's confidence - it was the sort of confidence he wished he had himself instead of shyness and self-doubt. "You're welcome." Cato then slid himself back into the lake, and turned so he was facing Leon again.
He hesitated for a few moments, then he asked, "What makes you so confident?"

I wideneed my eyes and I caught Isla with my tail as I transformed into my demon form, I rolled my eyes and picked her up and flew her to my dorm where I laid her down on my bed

I was about to shoot another arrow at the wall when I heard Colt asking for help, I smiled and put my bow down, "of course" I teleported on his right side, next to him, using my telekinesis to pick up his notebook and read his notes, seeing all the underlined notes, I grabbed his pen and starting writing down either the solutions to the practice questions, or writing down the definition of a word he didn't understand, after I was done I gave it back to him, "that okay? I'll go over in detail if you wish" I smiled at him as he took his notebook back as I leaned on the table, looking at him

He scowled, mostly at himself, and waited for Jesica to finish writing up the solutions to the questions that he'd skipped, and the definitions of anything he'd left underlined. While he was, truly, grateful for the help, he was still quite... embarrassed by it.
Colt took the notebook back and read over what she'd written carefully, and a moment of realisation crossed over his expression as he finally understood it. "Yeah..." he said, then, in a much quieter, barely audible tone, he added, "... Thank you..."
He glanced away, and picked up the study book again, to move onto the next chapter.

Seraphina listens to her and remains silent for several moments before replying, "I'm not sure. Probably 13 like the others from my village it may happen earlier, later, or not at all." She has heard stories of some hybrids never gaining any powers and she has no idea if that will happen to her or not. Since her wings are getting pretty tired, only because she had to carry Izzy for part of the trip back, Sera glides to the ground and says, "Not sure."

I nodded, "you're welcome, if you need anymore help, I'm here" I smiled at him kindly, I went back to my bed, I then used my telekinesis to clean up the desk he was studying on, I put his book-bag under the desk and put the book he got from the library closer to him so he can still write, but can also see the book better, I then stopped moving things and went back to shooting the wall with a bow

Colt nodded, silently, and he waited until Jesica had finished moving a few things around on the desk to help him out - which, though he wouldn't admit it yet, actually did help him a bit - then he carried on studying.
He made his notes, with the extra details, and understood most of the chapter, though he did write out a list to one side of the page of anything he didn't understand. He also attempted the practice questions, writing out the solutions that he'd come up with.
He could hear Jesica shooting the wall behind him, and he wondered why... why she was shooting the wall and why she had been kind to him.

After a while, Colt turned around towards Jesica again. "Why are you being kind to me?" he asked. "Everyone normally just... avoids me or doesn't like me or is scared of me. Or all three."

Having never been around humans due to her appearance and not wanting to be judged or other things as the such, Seraphina is not very familiar with human objects except for the items that the school and her village had. She has never heard of the term board game due to being a bit of a recluse but she has seen people gathered around a square or rectangle piece of wood or cardboard with colorful things on it and smaller pieces that people moved. Sera nods slightly hesitant since she has no idea if Isabella's dorm has a window and she also does not know what a board game is, by name at least.

Isla woke up about 10 minutes later wondering where she was. Then it all came back to her her passing out, the voices, everything. Now she had to get out of the dorm room.
