● i shook my blood soaked hand, splattering red across the concrete. "it's done," i muttered in
a low voice, looking to the large man behind me. she was finally out of the way - darleen heart,
dear princess of hearts, who i had entrusted with part of my plan before she decided to backstab
me. i sneered at her body, splayed across the alley between the hotel and a bakery. i morphed
back into my glamoured form, a light chuckle escaping my throat. "i think it's only fair, you
know?" i murmured absentmindedly, beginning to walk away from the body without a second
thought. "she decided to metaphorically backstab me, so i physically backstabbed her! it's
the perfect example of get what you give!" i laughed again, motioning for galen to follow
me out of the alley and down the street before someone saw us. i was finally putting things into
action, and i couldn't have anyone get in my way. in fact, anyone who did get in my way would
meet the same demise as dear old darleen.

● i sat in my office, glaring at the other two young fables across from me. "you two just don't
know when to stop, do you?!" i exclaimed, waving a hand in the air. "first harassing some poor
mundie sap at a gas station, now you're stealing from a mundie shopping mall!" i stood up with
an exasperated sigh, turning away from them and throwing my forehead into my palm. "look, you're
lucky i got in contact with the cops there and convinced them to hand you over to me, cause
otherwise you two would be behind bars." i turned back to them, arms crossed. "you're also
lucky that i like both of you, even if you are annoying. just keep to the small stuff, and don't
get yourselves cau-" i paused my chastising as my office phone rang. i glanced at roy and claudia,
giving the 'one minute' finger before answering the call. "sheriff bel wolf, how can i help y- wait...
taffy, calm down. what's wrong?" i listened to a hysteric taffeta on the other end, before my eyes
widened. "dead... body?"

● i shook my large body, helping my shaggy fur lay flat after gathering up all the trash from around
the hotel. looking at the large black bag of garbage beside me, i gave a husky huff. i grabbed the
knotted end of the bag and began dragging it towards the back door. pushing open the heavy door,
i continued to drag the bag around the side of the building into the alley. suddenly, a scent hit my
sensitive beast nose. blood. i dropped the bag, whirling my heavy body around to see darleen
heart, her body mangled before me. i let out a roar of a scream, scrambling away before sprinting
back into the hotel to call amabel. once i had her on the phone, i broke. "bel.. bel it's darleen.
it's darl-darleen, sh-she's dead! all t-torn up! please, come quick! i-i wouldn't be surprised if
someone else's come across her body by now!"

Edward loved taking walks. The outdoors was so freeing, and he didn't have his sister on his case all of the time. He lazily strides through the streets, waving hello to the mundies as he passed them. He crossed streets, and counted windows, until he came to an alleyway. He thought he had heard a noise, and swore it was his imagination, but he had to check. He looked in, and screamed at the top of his lungs. The fable at the other end of the alley screamed too. He looked at the corpse on the ground again, and ran as fast as his little legs could carry him. Instead of calling his sister, he thought it would be better to run all the way to the office. Bel must be there, and those two always knew what to do in situations like this.

Jessica stood in the corner, staring daggers at the two deliquints. What were they thinking, pulling a stunt like that? After Bel picked up the phone, Jessica stepped in to chew them out a little more. What if you were thrown in prison? Your reputation would be ruined, and what about your parents! Eugh! You are both so stupid! Don't you care about your-. She froze after she heard dead body. She panicked, remebering that Edward was out for a walk. She waited for Amabel to finish talking, waiting to see who the body belonged too. She kept glaring at the two fables sitting in the office, not caring about their crimes, she just wanted some way to vent her fear. Who is it? Who? It better not be Edward, or I swear... Her thoughts became more angry than scared, and she began to fiddle with the edge of her skirt.

once again, royce found himself sitting beside claudia in the sheriffs office. obviously, the attempt to steal from a mundie shopping complex hadn’t gone as planned. and now, he and his partner in crime had to pay the price for it. he casually rested his head in his hand, patiently waiting for the scolding to be over. while also trying to ignore jessica glaring at him and claudia from the corner of the room, although it was more annoying than anything else. admittedly, he was thankful that bel was able to persuade the officers to turn them over to her instead. from the sound of it it appeared they’d be sent out with nothing more than a slap on the wrist, same as last time. of course, when bel went to answer the phone, jessica didn't miss out on the opportunity to jump out of her little corner to berate them herself. he turned his gaze on jessica at the mention of their reputation being ruined, and smirked up at her with his icy gaze. “hate to break it to you, sweetheart. but our reputation ain’t exactly the best as is.” he retorted, before glancing away once more, turning his attention on bel and the frantic caller on the other end. the caller was too panicked to make out her words completely, but, whatever it was, it wasn’t good, that was for certain. royce’s ears perked up, suddenly interested. he listened in on the phone conversation. “wait- dead body?” he repeated, eyes widening. “my, my, isn't that unfortunate...” he tsk’ed letting out a little chuckle of disbelief, he leaned back in his seat. seeing the perfect opportunity to convince them to let them go, royce stood up, clasping his hands together as if the whole thing had been settled. “welp, looks like we learned our lesson, sheriff. we apologize for the trouble, it won’t happen again i assure you... and seeing how you’ve got you hands tied with that mess, best we get outta your hair now, doncha think?” he gestured to the door eagerly.

claudia folded her arm and rolled her eyes with annoyance as jessica picked up amabel's rant towards her and royce, sitting in the sheriff's office with her best friend. amabel was someone claudia had no real problem with, but jessica, she thought of her as a pain in the butt. if only the earlier mundie at the shopping complex had gone well, neither she nor royce would be getting this earful from jessica. but then again, claudia figured that even if the theft had gone well, they would have gotten in trouble later on. that was something she was rather used to, getting into trouble. in fact, claudia considered herself and royce the biggest troublemakers in all of fabletown, and though others such as jessica were annoyed by it, it was a self-proclaimed title claudia was rather proud of.
"yeah, yeah, we get it," claudia shot back to jessica, making no attempt to hide her irritation. "can you just give our ears a break already?!" but before she could continue, she heard a panicked voice from the phone, whom amabel was on the phone with. though the panic in the caller's voice was clearly prevalent, what they were saying wasn't clear, until royce spoke.
"a dead body?!" claudia nearly fell out of her seat upon hearing it. dead?! who was? was it a mundie, dead because of what she and royce did earlier? beside her, she could see royce rise to his feet, and just by looking, claudia could see he wanted out. but despite being her best friend, claudia wasn't about to join him just yet.

"hold on! just who the hell is dead?!"

Galen stood there with a cigarette hanging from the side of his mouth. He had to come all the way here..away from his ring, just to help out with a backstabber. He was clearly upset, but of course he didn’t show it. There were-tiger was no mad because he had to come, oh no, he mad at this traitor. What if darleen ran her mouth about his ring to those goody two shoes? They would have most definitely came and mess up his business in the ring...which would have really ticked him off.”What a shame, she was actually pretty cool to.” Galen blew some smoke from his nose.” Lets just hope no one finds out about, i don’t have time getting my hands dirty to...but trust me i will.” oh yes, Galen wouldn’t mind picking a fight with anyone, but not now. He kinda just wanted to chill and relax for abit, but here he was. Had to make sure that Rae was safe.” Yeah, it sure is fair. Couldn’t have her going out and running her mouth to anyone. Don’t want anyone messing with my business.” Galen snorted.”Anyway, we might wanna get a move on. I bet the world will get out soon and the dogs will start sniffing.”
