what if magic was in our world? what if fairytales and their creatures were real? what if they all
looked like us? there's no need to imagine - it's all true. these fantasy characters live in an area
known as 'fabletown', founded during colonial america - now set in modern-day manhattan. these
idols from our childhoods are called fables, and they fled to our world many years ago to escape
a tyrant. they have been in our dimension for so long, they've had descendants - children who
are destined to carry their parents stories on their backs.

but a great threat is falling onto fabletown - some of these descendants are taking a little too
much after their parents. it's up to a ragtag group of fable teenagers to solve the death of one of
their own, and save fabletown before it's too late.

without it by any authority, you will be punished.
further neglect to wear glamour may result in
being sent to the farm.

you feel your mind slipping, tell an authority right
away. we will help.

○ never let humans find out what you are - if one
suspects something, do everything in your power
to convince them otherwise.
○ keep your fellow fables safe - we're all in this
together.

uphold them. failure to do so may result in

terminology to know:
○ the homelands: the homelands are the places described in
fairytales, where the fables originally came from before needing to
flee. the homelands are all connected - meaning most, if not all
fables, have met each other at some point or another.
○ the farm: the farm is a rural community that houses the non-
human fables that cannot afford glamour. it is supposedly a nice
place, but far different from the familiarity of manhattan.
○ glamour: glamour is a magical potion that gives non-human
fables a human form. it is expensive, and there are some who
cannot afford it. these fables are either taken to the farm, or
forced to buy black market glamour.
○ mundies: short for 'mundanes', a term the fables coined for
non-fables, aka native humans.
