The current year of Exandria is 935 PD. A century has passed since The Mighty Nein became unlikely speakers of peace, ending the long war between Xorhas and The Dwendalian Empire, and even longer still since the stories of the famed heroes Vox Machina.
As fate would have it, a new threat to humanity is rising... And you are to play a part in ending it.
Not that you know this. You've only just arrived in the seaside city of Emon - summons from a Lord Antos Archeron, renowned for his magical knowledge and work deciphering old planar magic. Why has he summoned you specifically? You haven't the slightest clue, other than the fact his letter spoke of urgency and a great sum of gold he's willing to pay for your undivided attention.
Either way, you are here in Emon with your travel gear and your own... Abilities. It's up to you to decide who you become.
And whether or not you're the type to put the life of many over the life of your own, in the end.

General

✧ Replies should include your character's name clearly either within your reply or elsewhere that's easily visible.
✧ Replies should be between three to four sentences per reply.
✧ Try to be active at least once between a three day period.
✧ You are NOT allowed to advance plot without my consent. Smaller things such as lower-level monster battles or bandits/thugs though are fine for you to have your characters stumble upon on your own narrative. If it conflicts with my current narrative though, I might ask you not do continue with it. Just ask via the discussion thread first! It's safer that way <3
✧ Don't RP Gods/dreams with gods unless you talk it over with me first! I might be able to give you some insight as to certain plot-relevant words they might give a warlock, paladin, cleric, or other divine-aligned character.

Character Creation

✧ I'm working of fifth edition DnD knowledge and 'rules', so I'd prefer you stick within that edition for my sake, though I'm willing to work with races/classes from older editions if you'd like.
✧ Your characters will start at Level 5 of their chosen class(or classes [still a total of 5 w/ both classes], if you feel confident multiclassing your character). Leveling up will happen on a milestone basis - meaning, organically with the plot of the RP. Since this RP is mostly roleplay instead of full on battles, level's aren't extremely important within this RP. However, it does limit what your character can do magic wise and gives some parameters to follow. I'm lenient on what you can and can't do but I will be checking uses of major spells (fireball, things like that) and if they're correct for your class and that you don't overdue it with spell slots. Flavor stuff like harmless magic use is basically open to use for everyone who's characters can use magic (tiny flames, picking up a small item with a spectral hand, etc.)
✧ Make as many characters as you like! I might even allow you to make higher leveled characters depending on why you want them (such as older siblings or allies your character might have; i'm fairly open to working with you!)
✧ I might ask you to adjust your main character to fit within this storyline - it all depends. Please don't feel bad if I ask you to change something/don't approve of something you suggest for your character!
✧ Feel free to PM me if you want to discuss your character in private (different races/classes you want to try, a different race reveal, class reveal, etc.)
✧ The only race I ask you not to play are mechanical races or Warforged individuals. Feel free to have mechanical bodyparts but remember that technology does not exist yet in this reality. It's more steampunk in nature mixed with fantasy magic!
✧ You're not allowed to play Vox Machina or Mighty Nein characters. Please create your own! I love original characters and am more excited to have a different story to tell then an already written one.
✧ You CAN have characters related to pre-existing VM/M9 characters. Such as sisters/brothers/children of said characters - though I'd rather you work from cannon relationships/talk with me about it and see what would work with this RP.

He's allowing you to mingle with the invited persons of this event, but Antos has mentioned that he will call those he wishes to take on a certain 'burden' for him later in the evening. He has been sighted among the various lords and ladies of Emon, but makes only polite conversation if approached.
