Minaka~ I moved some of my hair out of my face. I readjusted my red hoodie. I quickly put my hand over my necklace that looks like flames, because I didn’t want Zuchi to know about my bonded duel spirit Elemental hero burstinatrix just yet.“My names Minako Yuki, I'm a duelist, I am the daughter of Jaden Yuki and Calixte Yuki-Kaiba-Asuhara, you can just call me Minako.” I said to Zuchi.

»The teen looked at the girl with a confused look. No idea what a duelist is probably something supernatural related. They ignored what Minaka was doing with her hands probably fumbling an object that held no interest to them whatsoever. Reminds them that they have an object in their pockets. Zuchi eyes lit up in realization and searched through their pockets, there's nothing in there. Oh no. They dropped their pin in the pile of leaves. They went over to the pile of leaves and jumped in frantically looking for it. This is going to take a while for them to find their prized possession.

Zuchi popped out of the pile. The psychic sighed in defeat, nothing. Probably dropped it at their world before coming here this is really not their day at all. First the precog side effects, coming to this world then losing their milkshake pin. This could not get worse. Zuchi's mood is already sour enough as it is unfortunately the ability does not work on them but others, seeing others happy or content just makes them a bit spiteful. Wait were they forgetting something else too? No it was somebody. Zuchi made a face realizing they weren't alone and did all those things in front of Minaka. This is terrible. Now how are they even gonna talk to them after all that?

Zuchi decided to turn invisible to hide their shame but more likely their embarrassment. They went into a sitting position and hugged their legs. Deep breaths, deep breaths, this isn't helping anyone nor themselves. Zuchi wished their roommate is here to comfort them, they really needed it. After some time collecting themselves and their thoughts they reappeared though still sitting on the ground hugging their legs. Zuchi placed their head on their knees just looking at their clothes not wanting to make eye contact. "S-sorry.. I shouldn't h-have acted like that. E-er nice to meet you I g-guess?" Zuchi said quietly.

Reza of the Fin Clade||MtG||Tagged: Deadman, Pechebelle
Had Reza not been so intrigued with the enigma that was Pechebelle, Deadman's assertation that his world was capable of producing intelligent engendered life would have probably started her spiral all over again. Her theory was right! It was possible to engineer intelligence in a magically created being! When they got a moment, she'd have to sit down with him and compare notes, the Combine would definitely want to hear this.

For the moment, though, Pechebelle was still the focus. The mystery surrounding her had only deepened further with this latest revalation, she did in fact remember where she was from. Not only that, but she was the only one of her kind that existed there. Somewhere that had life, apparently, not only that, but life Reza recognized. "Spiders," she said, watching the humanoid's fingers move, "and... flying insects? Perhaps bees, or wasps? So if your plane of origin has insect life, then... but no, you're not insectoid at all- actually, I'm not quite sure what you are. You're not reptilian, certainly not piscine or avian... I suppose you could be classified as mammalian, but even then it would be a bit of a loose identifier. Ah, well, we can figure that out later, when I have more resources. If this is to be your home now, then we'd better get about exploring it, yes? I'll send a message back through my portal and tell my guild to start moving more people in, we can get a lab set up and start giving this place some animals. It's too quiet in here by half." Or maybe she was just used to it being louder. The streets of Ravnica were never this quiet, usually due to some experiment running wild or a Krasis rampaging through the streets. She hadn't really noticed before, but the silence was starting to turn eerie. She could obviously set up a few growth chambers herself, but she'd then have to stay here and monitor the growth of the Krasis, and would limit her options to things that could fit into a forest ecosystem. Which normally wouldn't be a problem, She loved her work, but it didn't seem right to go to a whole new plane and then spend her time just doing what she always did.

Minaka~ I removed my hands from my flame necklace. "No don't worry about you don't need to apologize to me." I said to Zuchi. I opened the container that held my deck in it. "That doesn't bother me." I said to Zuchi. "I'm what is called a human bonded to duel spirit, its a person who is chosen by a duel spirit, I'm bonded to my favorite card called Elemental Hero Burstinatrix." I said to Zuchi. I took out one of my Elemental hero Burstinatrix. "My father Jaden went into a game called Duel link to investigate the corruption in it but he went missing, there are others like me, my mother Calixte Yuki-Kaiba-Asuhara, a girl named Ami Rhodes, my aunt Minka Rhodes-Kaiba-Asuhara, a boy named Adonis Phoenix, another boy called Carden Princeton and two brothers named Zero and Zircon Truesdale." I said to Zuchi.

»Zuchi raised their head and looked at the girl in confusion looking at the item Minaka is holding. Never seen that before. Though most of Zuchi's life they rarely go out and explore, discovering new things and learn a bit of life. Alas they have a supernatural power and would rather not be hunted by weirdo's or scientists who are obsessed with the supernatural or even worse, ghosts who are annoying and evil. Unfortunately being a psychic also means you are a ghost magnet apparently they are pretty curious of what a psychic is or how they act even just stalk them on how they do day to day lives. The only good thing is that barely anyone know Zuchi exist even in school except a few people. Though the con about it is that they are pretty much forgettable and not known. They lost count of how many times their classmates thought they were a new student every time they get paired up for projects. The kid dreaded projects even interacting with others the same age, they are a bit out of touch with modern life and social as well.

Duel spirit, they get the spirit part well kind of. Changing their sitting position into a criss-cross applesauce like a small kid. "Y-you are bonded with a card is duel spirit or something l-like that?" They don't really understand how that works but it seems a bit complicated, to be honest they aren't really that much interested. "E-er that's tragic that your father went missing.. I have no i-idea what my parents look like. Its n-nice you have a family at least." They said softly. To be truthful Zuchi has a bit of envy for others knowing who their parents are or how they look like even just seeing their classmates being picked up by their parents smiling, crying or angry. They wished to experience that as well. Everyday they wait for them at home hoping one day they open the door and give Zuchi a warm embrace and comfort. Just one of them would be nice. But that's wishful thinking.

"U-uh so what is y-your world like? You don't really h-have to answer that. Mine is just... to simply put. S-simple?" The teen asked with curiosity. It'd probably the same as theirs or probably technology advanced. Zuchi did remember that Minaka's father got trapped in a game that got corrupted, so it's probably the latter. Compared to theirs, it's just plain ol' Earth with common occurrences of supernatural events. At first the people were panicking about the weird events happening until to the point it almost became a norm to people. Well to others to some extent.

Minako~ “Oh hi there friend.” I said to my winged Kuriboh. “I have the ability to make duel spirits real.” I said to Zuchi. “The winged Kuriboh was my father, it wanted to be in my deck, I don’t really have many friends.” I said to Zuchi. I explained to Zuchi what duel spirits are.

    DamienScott!!
    "dumb + dumber"
    ──────────────────────────────
it seemed like the students of spooky high could never catch a break. from daily fights to school destroying fires, every day was simply a matter of "what stupid thing was going to happen that could potentially take my life?

this particular day had been rather normal so far, with things standing still for once, no one was fighting to the death, no one was completely out of it, and nothing was on fire.
    yet.
while things were calm in the surface, trouble brewed on school grounds as boyish mischief was being planned by the two class idiots carried out a plan. Damien and Scott had quite enough of Principal Giant Spider's crap. well, Damien had had enough, Scott just wanted to be involved in what was totally just a neat prank that for some reason required an obscene amount of gasoline. both giddily coming back to school grounds with all they needed when suddenly-! "hello, my lovelies!" said a flamboyant voice that made both boys stop dead in their tracks. they knew that voice, it had a very particular trait that not many had. and that's that hearing his voice alone made you want to punch the person who spoke. "it is I! the interdimensional prince! come with me, allow me to take you from this educational prison by taking your hand in marriage instead!" before Damien could give the blue bastard a punch in the mouth or Scott could say something stupid, the two found themselves in one of the
Interdimensional jerk's multiple portals. great. so much for causing trouble. at least they could kick the prince's ass for interrupting their incredibly cool prank
well, they WOULD have done that, if the prince wasn't so incompetent that they weren't even sent to his crappy kingdom, instead then we're irresponsibly dumped into a pretty, grassy clearing with nothing but eachother and too much gasoline.

    ♠ damien lavey !!
"why do i always jump straight to arson?"
    ──────────────────────────────
"oof!" the demon boy complained as he landed right on top of his canine friend. damn it, damn it DAMN IT! his plan was brilliant! there was no way anyone would've seen setting the school on fire coming! but of course, his amazing, totally original idea had to be completely ruined by external forces. couldn't he commit arson in peace?!
the monster for himself in his two feet, dusting himself off and looking at his friend, then around the nicely worded and very flammable area. "where the hell did that noob take us now?" he asked rather carelessly, as if it wasn't weird and kind of concerning to be somewhere he didn't recognize whatsoever. Scoffing softly at his friend's idiotic comment. which didn't surprise him, it was Scott. "no crap, sherlock. i'm not blind. why do I even bother?!" the demon boy was not in a good mood now that his master plan was ruined, and Scott was of no help to him. he was prepared to keep whining until his friend stopped abruptly, making him raise a brow. "uhhhh... Scott? Scotty? dude, what are you even looking at?-" he annoyed his friend to get his attention, only for him to run off. holy hell, was this really needed right now? "HEY! SCOTT!" he called out loudly as he went after him, but there was no way in hell he could catch up to him, the guy was too crazy fast for him. making stop completely to catch his breath. "Scott! damnit this is so dumb-" the tired demon choked out to himself looking up from the floor to see that well, he lost the huge, bumbling idiot. " crap-" he hissed. looking around lost. well, this got 1000 times worse. now in a horrid mood. he continued walking through the unfamiliar woods, shouting out his friend's name at the top of his lungs. only for it to be followed by some quieter curses and insults meant for his friend and current situation.
the inpatient student was already frustrated, but it apparently wasn't for long, as he heard the noise of soft steps on grass that weren't his own and a distant voice, rushing to the direction with 100% certainty it was his sporty classmate. "YO MUTT WE NEED TO GO-" he said loudly to catch his attention as he peeked our of some thick foliage. only to realize it wasn't his canine companion, but instead some all-black wearing bandit-looking -. Which wasn't what he was looking for, to say the least.

    ★ scott howl!!
    "cheerleading is always the answer!!"
    ──────────────────────────────
that was fun!. the dog man perked up ad soon as his friend was off him, not like he could actually feel his weight or anything, but it just took him a bit to process the entire situation. his tail absentmindedly wagging from one side to another. "to the woods! clearly!" Scott said confidently, quickly springing up to his feet. not hurt in any way by his friend's attitude, instead wrapping an arm around the demon, who was hot to the touch at this point. "awhhhh don't worry bout it, bud! we can just go back and con-" his head snapped to s different direction from Damien's, his ears perked to s ridiculous extent. falling completely quiet as he focused only on a specific noise. he heard a noise a very human and very new noise. every inch of his body begged him to stay so he could hop right back into the portal and not have this be a problem, but the other, much louder and much more attention catching part of his body, mind and soul told him to just run for it. So he did, the incredibly tall high schooler just bolted out of the clearing and into the trees in the direction he could hear and smell someone, or something.

Toro Calican [2]

Postby Prince Catoukin » Thu Dec 26, 2019 9:26 am

[ ]yiitt Toro Calican 24 Male Bisexual The Mandalorian Tags; Damien, Dark Bakura
bidoosh──── “ᴛʜᴀᴛ's ɢᴏᴏᴅ ᴀᴅᴠɪᴄᴇ. ʙᴜᴛ ɪғ ɪ ᴛᴏᴏᴋ ᴛʜᴏsᴇ ʙɪɴᴅᴇʀs ᴏғғ, ɪ'ᴅ ʙᴇ ᴀ ᴅᴇᴀᴅ ᴍᴀɴ.

Toro sighed and placed his hand on his blaster. If he was going to explore, he wasn't going to leave himself defenceless. After all, he's a rather quick draw. The place put him on edge. All of the silence that hung so heavily around him, it was almost suffocating. The only thing he could hear was the soft crunch of grass beneath his feet, not even the buzz of insects. It was really off-putting to say the least.

The sun beating down on his back wasn't nice either. Even though he doesn't complain about it, he made the horrible choice of wearing dark clothes, especially when he had just been on Tatooine. Toro was overheating quickly with all of the layers and black but it's never hurt before. At least he's able to tolerate it. It's not like the outfit wasn't comfortable; there's no way he'd give up the practical yet comfortable clothing just to stay cool. It had all of his supplies as well as his credits.

Toro paused and stood up straighter, mind now grasping at that thought. He has his credits, imperial credits. Was this place civilized? Maybe if it was, he'd be able to buy himself a nice cool drink and lounge around for a bit as he figured out how to get back to Fennec Shand. With the new goal set, Toro continued on with his trek, only to stop when his eyes caught a person nearby. He had crazy white hair and was dressed pretty casually. In all honesty, Toro would consider the guy's hairdo a mullet he never took care of because damn his hair is so spiky.

Leaving his one hand on his weapon, Toro raised his free one in hopes of getting their attention.
"Hey! Hey you! Are you a native?" He called out, hoping the other heard him. "Do you know-" Someone shouting rather loud and nearby caught Toro's attention. Well, more like scared him, because his blaster was drawn and pointed in the direction he heard the voice as soon as Toro turned around. Out of instinct and definitely not because he panicked, the moment Toro saw a guy with red skin and large horns, he fired the blaster. He wasn't sure if it actually hit the new man, but immediately felt guilty. Toro stood there in shock for a few moments before holstering the gun and raising his hands. "Crap, dude, I'm so sorry!"

Toro rushed over to the new guy and tugged the bandana off his mouth. He felt horrible and wanted to make sure the red dude was okay. Blasted shots can be painful and he was only ten feet away at the most. He hoped that he missed like those troopers that hung around half of the guild bases. "I didn't mean to shoot you man, you just scared me. Are you alright?"

Dark Bakura~ I turned and looked at the person(Toro). I walked over to toro. “No I am stuck here like you are.” I said to Toro. I didn’t like this guy(Toro) at all. I noticed the other person(Damien). “Who are you two?” I asked Damien and Toro.

zagreus [7] hana song [4] archimedes [1]

Postby guar » Fri Dec 27, 2019 11:53 am

    -----━━━━--𝚉 𝙰 𝙶 𝚁 𝙴 𝚄 𝚂--
    -----━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
--------------------son of hades - demigod - tag; princess
    -----━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
“Something like that, I suppose.” Zagreus laughed sheepishly. “It’s strange to see a place untouched by people, possessing no forms of architecture.” He commented, feeding off of Princess’ remark on the lack of buildings. “My father likes to have everything orderly, puts effort into the buildings in the Underworld. Not like pretty buildings will make anybody feel any better about being dead.” The prince scoffed, “The only use his so-important pillars and supports serve are their easiness to break. They only ever regenerate again, but it’s nice while it lasts. I’d say it gets on his nerves but lately anything I do bothers him, so that’s not much of an achievement. I so much as change the drapes in the house and he’s criticizing my choices. Perhaps if he didn’t want me changing things, he should have thought of that before appointing an easily accessed contractor.” Stopping himself before he continued on a rant regarding his father, Zagreus realised he was beginning to ramble about trivial matters, or at least they seemed trivial compared to the situation that Princess was in. Dealing with his father sounded more bearable than being in Princess’ position; trying to survive a world where a majority of the population was the undead that wanted to kill the living. While he supposed it wouldn’t be as much of an issue for him considering his almost immortality - he could technically be killed, but that would only send him back to the House of Hades through the Pool of Styx located in the House's foyer, overwatched by Hypnos who was always prepared to offer useless advice such as just not dying.”Ah, sorry.” He apologised, chuckling lightly and glancing elsewhere. He almost missed the humorous remark on how he summoned the shield, absentmindedly nodding after Princess spoke and offering a smile, he had heard enough to realise it was only meant as a joke but couldn’t think of much else to say on the comment, realising that laughing again might seem too forced. “I can’t let you be the only one with a weapon here.” He eventually responded, “Besides, I quite like to show off my weapons; they’re not easy to get, you know.” Zagreus smiled as he spoke, continuing to try and make it clear that what he was saying was also meant in a friendly and humorous manner. “I have options if a shield isn’t good enough for you, your highness.” Performing a jesting bow with a dip of his head.

Hearing water certainly piqued the demigod’s interest, although he didn’t seem to be as excited as his companion was at the sound. He could appreciate why it was an exciting development, though; it was nice to hear something other than their own footsteps and voices; the silence of their surroundings was quite a bore after a while, after all. Even if it was just background noise, that was better than absolutely no noise, right? “Well! We ought to check it out, then.” Zagreus decided, some eagerness to his voice as he glanced about their surroundings, hoping to spot the water source through the trees but to no avail, they probably still had some distance before they’d reach it. Despite his time traversing mazes and dungeon-like areas in his escape attempts, it came to Zagreus’ attention that without those clear pointers as to where to go next, his sense of direction was quite poor. He had never been in a place where there were no walls confining him, he realised. But where he was currently, it had seemingly no restrictions on his movement. Excitement growing as this sense of freedom became clear to him, a genuine smile grew on his face, somewhat larger than those usually seen on the prince. “Mortals naturally need water, so that must be a popular place if there are any other people here, right?” He suggested, although perhaps not fully considering the range of people the two of them may encounter; if these portals came from anywhere, then that meant there could be anything waiting for them. There could be less than friendly people or creatures who had the same ideas as the demigod. It could lead to the two of them walking into some form of trap or ambush. Newfound caution prompting him to raise his shield higher and more defensively, he considered voicing his concerns to Princess regarding the possible dangers but eventually did not. Instead he offered a brief nod, “I’ll lead the way, this time. Just in case.” Sure that the implications would be enough to get the point across, Zagreus began to walk forward and approach the sound of rushing water with the expectation that Princess would follow him, tensing slightly as the sound grew closer.

It was a pleasant surprise when nothing bad came from their arrival at the stream. Having been so prepared for an attack, though, he supposed it really wasn’t that strange. Just because there was a slight threat didn’t mean it would always become true, after all. “No new friends, it seems.” Zagreus commented, somewhat disheartened by the lack of progress that was made; while they had found a stream, it wasn’t like that was an achievement to be proud of; water was to be expected anywhere, after all. “But at least we can have a landmark to come back to, right?”

    -----━━━━--𝙷 𝙰 𝙽 𝙰XXX𝚂 𝙾 𝙽 𝙶--
    -----━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
-----------------------------"d.va" - nineteen years old - tag; ren
    -----━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
It wasn’t surprising that Ren agreed with Hana’s comment on things seeming to be too good to be true in the place they found themselves, but then there was the implications of him having experience with such things. Of course, she was thinking of her experiences in regards to games and other forms of media; it was a common trope in movies and tv shows as well, but it wasn’t so much personal experience; the only situations she had gone through that the idiom could be applied to was her time spent protecting her country. Whenever the Gwishin were quiet, that was always a bad sign and if they had ever gone a long time without a fight it was usually too good to last. She found herself wondering what experience Ren could have. Given the way that he was dressed, it wasn’t surprising that he wasn’t going to be just some average person, unless he was an average person with really, really strange fashion choices. She shook her head; that was coming off topic and generally was quite silly to think. If there was a reason to the people being brought to the place, then there must have been some importance about him as well. Although, she highly doubted that whatever profession he had was anything like hers. In fact, he appeared to be more like a criminal than anything; committing crime rather than protecting his country from it. Perhaps it was rude to immediately assume that a stranger led a life of crime just based on his clothing choice, but admittedly the whole get-up was sending red flags, ranging from the mask and the long black coat and generally dark colour palette. Hana felt some temptation to question him and his claim; really there was nothing stopping her from asking about his experiences but if by any chance he was some form of criminal, there was nothing stopping him from hurting her. There was no doubt that he had spotted her weapon by now and could probably prepare for her using it against him so all it would take was for her to let her guard down. A frown grew on her face as those thoughts raced through her mind, eventually prompting her to stop them before it got carried away and she started searching for reasons not to like him.

We might be the only two here and for a specific reason. It was that being said which finally pulled Hana away from her thoughts, putting her back into the moment and making her completely alert and aware of her surroundings once more; if she was so concerned about Ren having ulterior motives, spacing out certainly wasn’t going to help her case if her private concerns were confirmed. In the back of her mind, Hana quite quickly figured out what the implications of the statement were; it was quite a basic concept, after all, but the idea of putting forward such a thing so early in a conversation confused her, prompting her to avoid making assumptions about what was meant until it was explained. It was bad enough with her reservations about Ren, there was no need to continue worsening that. While that was what she hoped to do, it seemed like at least one of her hunches about the stranger were correct. So his comment on the reason behind the both of them being there was, in fact, said with certain implications in mind. Initially, there was a wave of anger and honest disgust that crossed over Hana, presented through her taking a step back from Ren and an appalled frown on her face. There was a slight raise of her hand when she took a step away from the boy, preparing to hit him for merely suggesting such a thing. However, one thing that stopped her was the fact that he seemed to be suitably embarrassed while making the suggestion. Seeing the redness in his face [although a portion was being obscured by his strange mask] confirmed that he probably disliked the concept just as much as she did, he wasn’t implying it because he meant any harm. After some seconds passing, Hana realised she had to slightly respect the guts it would take to make a suggestion to “rebuild” the population, especially with a stranger. She had to admit, though, even considering the situation she could think of far worse people to be stuck with if he was right; he was attractive even with some of his face being obscured by the mask; even that air of mystery about him was intriguing.

Hana shook her head, mentally scolding herself for considering how attractive a complete stranger was while there were far more important things to focus on at the time. Having decided against reacting aggressively to the suggestion, the pilot instead relaxed her posture and offered a thoughtful hum, although still quite awkward about the whole thing. “Yeah...uh, I’m catching your drift.” She mumbled, casting her gaze anywhere other than Ren, avoiding eye contact until the heat that had risen to her cheeks finally left, “But, I mean, surely that can’t be the reason, right?” She continued eagerly, “I mean, we obviously don’t have anything in common, you can tell that just by the way we’re dressed!” Hana explained, making a gesture towards Ren’s attire, “You don’t look very…” - pausing, she realised it was best to try and think of a way to describe him that wouldn’t insult him, but after a brief second of thought she found herself at a lack for a better word - “...uh, friendly? Safe? I mean, you don’t look...you know, like a good guy?” She finished slowly but made sure to talk immediately after to avoid having Ren react to the potential insult, “You’re probably not even a pilot.” That must be something they didn’t have in common, and it would hopefully veer the conversation away from appearance. “If there’s nothing in common between us, then why would we be specifically chosen to be here?”

Archimedes was steadily flying his balloon, the mode of transport never really allowing him much space to move in so there wasn’t much that could distract him; although it was certainly possible that some trivial thing could take his mind off of flying if his daemon wasn’t there to keep him on track. Cordelia had finally managed to urge the aëronaut to be on his way again and to get moving, now the two of them were flying over the White Sea after their departure from the island of Novy Odense. The country of Muscovy never was a place that the duo enjoyed much, it was always quite bleak and drab and it seemed nobody was ever up for a conversation, much to Archimedes’ dismay. Each time he stopped off to refuel and sleep in a decent bed, he did enjoy having some form of friendly welcome but at their most recent stop, Novy Odense was not willing to provide such things. He got a bed and a warm meal but that was about it, no friendly conversation to be heard. Cordelia didn't trust the people there anyway, the majority of them only giving dirty looks which Archimedes apparently was oblivious to. Now that they were refuelled and ready to move, though, both of them were uncharacteristically quiet, Archimedes was stood in the basket of the balloon as Cordelia was flying beside the balloon, still remaining close. There were clear skies but not much else of interest to look at. He saw the waves of the ocean beneath him, but there wasn’t any other balloons or ships or islands of any kind in sight. While Archimedes enjoyed his travels, the journey between getting from one civilised place to another was always quite a drag. He enjoyed conversation but sometimes when he only had Cordelia to chat with it was less than exciting, she was usually more serious than he portrayed himself, but both of them were close enough to the point of there not being enough interesting differences between them to spark a conversation about. Everything one of them experienced, so did the other, every memory one had featured the other. There was nothing new to share between them unless you included opinions, but that would require something present to have an opinion on.

An exaggeratedly loud and bored sigh escaped Archimedes as he slumped over, his arms leaning on the edge of the basket as he stared down at the sea beneath him. He took in a breath as he prepared to make some form of small conversation, but Cordelia’s voice broke through the unbearable silence, piquing his interest and prompting him to stand up excitedly. “Archimedes, what is that?” The royal albatross questioned, perching on one side of the basket as Archimedes turned to see what exactly was being referred to, startled to find a swirling vortex directly behind him without him even realising. “I didn’t bring it on here!” He exclaimed defensively, making a move to take a step back but realising there wasn’t exactly anywhere for him to retreat to. The unexpected portal appeared to be somehow tethered to his balloon too, moving along with it and staying in its place inside the basket, not giving Archimedes much space to move around now. Once he recovered from the surprise, a new childlike curiosity grew in his chest as he inched closer to the portal, tilting his head similar to how an avian would before looking towards Cordelia once more. “Y’think it’s safe-” “You really shouldn’t trust random portals that appear!” The daemon reasoned sternly, but without a second thought, Archimedes drew closer to the portal and eventually stepped through it, this action causing the bird to follow him in to ensure if there was anything dangerous, she would be there to usher Archimedes back through the portal - that is if it wasn’t a one-way system.

Stepping through the portal, Archimedes’ eyes were wide with awe as he found himself staring up at tres, finding himself suddenly stood in some form of forest rather than in the middle of the air like he had been. “We should really get back to the balloon.” Cordelia insisted, but Archimedes waved a hand slightly in a dismissive manner, “It’ll be fine, don’t be such a worry wart! We’ll just have a quick look-see and be on our way again.” He reasoned with a cheery smile, stepping away from the portal and venturing further into the trees, Cordelia following him but still ensuring she made a note of where they were going so she could recall where the portal was when they returned. The eerie silence filling the air was unsettling, but the aëronaut dismissed it; he was used to quiet places while flying, after all, so this wasn’t much different. He couldn’t think of where the portal could have led him to, though, he could think of plenty of places with trees, after all, but so far there were no signs of civilisation. It was footsteps, though, that prompted him to halt and glance about. So there were people around after all! His initial excitement steadily deteriorated though as he realised how rapid the pace sounded and the fact it was coming very close very quickly. Slightly panicked now, clear through both his and Cordelia’s posture, both of them studied their surroundings half-heartedly as they searched to find the source of noise. Eventually Archimedes came to the decision that the best thing to do was make whatever it was aware of his being there; either that would attract attention or make whatever it was turn away if it was scared by the idea of finding a person.

“‘Ello?” He called out, raising his voice significantly in hopes of being heard loud and clear, “Er, anybody here?” Archimedes continued, “‘Cause, er, y’know...I’m here!”
