Deen's eyes widened as she heard, and saw, the necklace break beneath his foot. "No...no...no no no..." She slid to her knees, and fell back, the mattresses collapsing in a heap. She began to whimper, then slipped under the mattresses and blanket, feeling hot tears sting her eyes. "That was all I had left..." She mumbled, words slurred by her tears and the lump in her throat. She began to cry, quietly, hidden under a mass of bedding.

Daddy Yankee's eyes widened in fury as the white-boy-brat crushed the necklace he hand been instructed to retrieve. "You. Little. F*cker!" he roared, and slammed the boy harder against the wall, tendons in his arms like metal wires as they throbbed and he coiled his arm back, and released, fist whizzing toward the boy's face. He had had just about enough of this as* Hole.

Mike fell to the ground, face bleeding. He was knocked out, and heard his ears ringing. Mom...? he said stepping closer to her, as he did, she moved farther away. He looked around him. his father, brother, and sister were there. Mother! Father! Mason! Kari! he yelled. As he did, they faded, and he was alone in the blackness. No! He said, come back! Come back! [/i]

Deen heard a loud thud and looked to Mike's cell. The boy lay, bleeding, on the floor of the cell. She saw the crushed remains of her necklace: the brozen spiral was twisted, the cord snapped, and the gem shattered into millions of shards. Biting her lip was no use; she whimpered, and continued to cry. Through her tears, she managed to looked to the boy (Daddy Yankee), eyes red, swollen, and full of tears. "...Th-thanks f-f-for....for t-trying..."

Daddy Yankee stood panting, letting the boy go and watching as his frail body crumpled to the floor, eyes alight in triumph. Oh how long he had been waiting to do that. He flexed his bloody knuckles and smirked, wiping it on the wall and turning back to the guard. "You take him now, lots of work to do," he snickered, kicking the boy over to the cell door and crouching down, picking up the nearly unrecognizable remains of the necklace, only the metal frame remained, though bent and battered,along with the snapped, yet still-attached leather cord and he tossed to the girl. "I am sorry," he murmured.

Deen heard a metallic clang and looked before her, seeing the remains of the necklace clatter on the concrete in front of her. Even to just have the beaten-up spiral made her happier, and she clutched it tenderly, her index finger tracing the design gently. She looked up to the boy and one side of her mouth perked into a smile. "It wasn't your fault...but thank you. It's...it's nice to know someone tried." She bowed her head slightly, in a sign of respect, before she spoke with her head tilted curiously. "What is...what is your name?"

Mike was taken out. When he woke up he was in the intense care unit. His nose and cheek bone were broken, and his arm was in a sling. "Great...." he muttered. He hated care. He stood, breaking the wires and whatnot. He had to kill that girl. He remembered his father and mother, then Mason and Kari. How he killed them. She would have the same fate. With a broken looking face, and stitches on his cheeck, he walked out, no one even noticing. "SHe's dead."

Daddy Yankee paused, something inside him beginning to churn that he was not familiar with at her smile and unusually kind words."My name is called Daddy Yankee," he said, forgetting to add that he was not to be called Yankee. Then he paused, wondering if he should smile back. It had been forever and a day since he had ever smiled sincerely at someone, so he'd give it a try. His facial muscles around his mouth twitched and he frowned, then smiled.

Mike walked into the room with the cells in it. A gaurd yelled at the begenning of the hall. More came, and so did more screames. Mike walked in, his chains rattling. "You're dead." he said. He gripped the bars of her cell. He had a demented grin on his face.
