Makoto Naegi

He noticed Gundham was in the cafeteria, again with his adorable hamsters. Luckily, they could, of course, now eat, and he appeared to be feeding them just now. He glanced to Komaru when she called out to the witchy girl from earlier, and he tilted his head. Shaking his head, he kept quiet while she questioned said girl.

Komaru Naegi

She squeaked and nearly jumped out of her skin when the witch hat wearing gorl suddenly appeared in front of her and Makoto. She took the moment to study said girl, seeing she had magenta looking hair, and was on the shorter side, not to mention of course the hat. Komaru cleared her throat, glanced to Makoto, then looked to the girl again. “I’m the...My...My power is sound waves.” she muttered, giving a quiet sigh, not really having a title like they all seemed to.

Hajime Hinata

As expected, Monokuma gives them no hints whatsoever, and instead chooses to bully the injured robot like the great overseer he is. It was worth a try. He rubs his head with his free hand, getting a headache from that one interaction alone. He's definitely not going to leave Kiibo alone, but Kiibo insists on being set down to use his power to check for what he needs, so Hajime nods and carefully helps the boy onto the ground.

Hajime's first impression of the robot's power was wrong. It turns out that Kiibo can not only possess other robots, but inanimate objects as well. Kiibo's body suddenly goes slack, surprising Hajime. He looks over to Shuichi, but the detective doesn't seem worried, so he keeps quiet. What surprises him even more is when Kiibo's body suddenly yells and points. Hajime does his best to not look too startled on the outside.

“I’ve found it! It’s in that chest on top of the bookshelf. I’m going to knock it down, and hopefully it should fall pretty close. Just watch out in case it comes your way," Kiibo says, and Hajime opens his mouth to reply--

CRASH. His head turns towards the source, the chest Kiibo just mentioned. The robot asks one of them to bring it back, and Hajime replies with, "I got it," already on the move towards the fallen object.

He picks up the chest, which is heavier than he expected, and carries it back to the other two, setting it on the ground next to Kiibo. Opening it up reveals... a bunch of stuffed animals. "What do you need with these?" he questions, staring at the contents of the chest with one eyebrow raised.

Himiko Yumeno

This girl is extremely nervous, Himiko notes. It doesn't take magic to see how her eyes travel all over the place and how she stumbles with her introduction. "Should I just call you... 'Sound Waves' then?" she asks, tilting her head at the girl. Himiko also turns towards the boy with Sound Waves, who remains quiet. "My magic says you two are close," she states, eyes drifting to the ground, "so who are you?"

Hajime is quick to respond to his request. He's a very reliable person, Kiibo thinks. He smiles gratefully as the chest is placed down next to him, popping open to reveal its trove of soft toys.

"What do you need with these?" Hajime asks, and Kiibo's brow furrows in slight confusion before it dawns on him that the other boy has no way of knowing what else is inside this chest. It is not always easy for him to see things from other people's perspectives, but he is learning every day.

Shuichi lifts the box a centimetre off the ground and shakes it gently, then begins taking stuffed animals out of the chest. "Is there something else inside here?" he asks, and Kiibo nods.

"Though you are free to help yourselves to the toys," he says, and while he is joking, his tone doesn't really convey it. The robot slips a hand into the box and feels around until it hits a hard boxy shape. A little more searching lets him find a handle, and he pulls out a modestly sized toolbox. The chest also contains solder and a few other useful items which he lays out next to him.

Apprehensively, he takes the wire stripper from the toolbox and he brings it towards his leg. His eyes flicker up to his watching companions, and he pauses. "I believe I can handle the rest on my own, so if you would like to go, do not feel obligated to stay around. I thank you greatly for your help."

"Oh, no, I don't mind..." Shuichi rushes to say. "I mean, if you want privacy—"

"—It's fine if you would like to stay, Shuichi, I simply don't want to waste your time. My knowledge of self repairs is purely theoretical, so I am unsure how long this will take."

OOC: I don't feel like researching how to repair this boy so if Hajime stays around, I'd appreciate if you gloss over it or timeskip in your post lol. Also, let me know when you guys are done with introductions or whatever else you want to do, and we can time skip to the next day if you want.

Hajime Hinata

"Don't worry," Hajime states, sitting down on the ground, "you're not wasting our time." He doesn't say anything else, and Kiibo gets to work.

While Kiibo is repairing his leg, silence envelopes the room. Hajime observes the chaos around them and occasionally glances at Shuichi. The repairs seem to be taking awhile so Hajime takes the opportunity to check out the map on his wristwatch to find out where they could go next.

The small screen is annoying to work with, as he constantly has to zoom in and out, but soon Hajime understands the layout shown on the map. The main building is almost like a school, with multiple classroom icons in the rooms, and it also contains a cafeteria, gym, their dorms... something that sticks out to him are the multiple areas with strange symbols. One has the icon of what looks like a magical rune, another looks like a megaphone... those must be other power labs as Monokuma mentioned. He can clearly remember the strange barrier one boy made and the sound waves from the girl Shuichi had helped earlier.

For Kiibo's purely theoretical knowledge, he's done a great job. The leg looks brand new, like no one had messed with it at all. "Wow," he whispers, eyes wide as he sees the final product. He waits for Kiibo to get off the ground and fully adjust before he speaks.

"There are some more of these power labs around, if you guys want to explore." He pulls up the map again, scrolling as he searches through. "There's even a room with a magnifying glass on it, if that relates to you, Shuichi."

(OOC: I'm good with anything! Maybe we could explore, and I know Kooky isn't around right now for power lab descriptions, so I was thinking we could go to Shuichi's 'power lab' since we know what it's like already. If we ever end up with nothing going on I'm good with a time skip.)

SHUICHI SAIHARA:
For the most part, he's content to watch Kiibo perform his repairs. At times, the robot seems hesitant about what he's doing, but as far as Shuichi can tell, everything is going well.

He pretends not to notice, but he does see Hajime occasionally glancing at him. Maybe he should try to strike up a conversation? Nothing really comes to mind, though, and soon the other boy becomes immersed in exploring the map. The silence is pretty comfortable for Shuichi, anyways.

After a while, he starts placing stuffed animals back into the chest. This room really doesn't need them adding more mess to it, after all. It doesn't take long, so he copies Hajime in looking at the map. Might as well refresh his memory, and now he has more context too. Most of these symbols were likely power training labs. The magnifying glass catches his eye. Is that his lab? He doesn't have any powers though, so he can't be sure... He has guesses for some of the other labs too, but can't link any symbol to Hajime. Of course, that's nearly impossible when Shuichi knows so little about him.

Kiibo suddenly stands up and tests out his fixed leg by stomping lightly on the ground. The motion is perfectly smooth and natural, and he places his hands on his waist triumphantly.

"Wow," he hears from Hajime, and Shuichi has to agree. It looks as good as new, and even the faint scratch on his other leg has been buffed out. He thinks Kiibo hears it too from the way he puffs out his chest.

"There are some more of these power labs around, if you guys want to explore. There's even a room with a magnifying glass on it, if that relates to you, Shuichi."

"Yeah, maybe. I really don't know what to expect since I don't have a power. And I think we should look for your lab too, Hajime. It could tell us more about the things you don't remember... Ah, I forgot to ask! So you can't remember your talent or power, right? Is it just that, or is there more you can't remember?"

Hajime Hinata

Surprise hits him when he finds out Shuichi doesn't have a power. There wasn't any evidence that he did have a power, considering he kept quiet during demonstrations, but he still assumed the detective had one. Maybe it's not a power lab, then, Hajime thinks. Perhaps, since Monokuma seems to want to give them places to develop, the bear created a place for Shuichi to practice skills from his talent.

"Well," he starts, eyes already trailing off, "I really can't remember anything. I didn't even remember Hope's Peak or about talents until you guys mentioned Ultimates." He sighs. "I don't even know if I'll have a power lab, if what Monokuma said is true, but... if you have something related to your talent, Shuichi, maybe I'll have something like that, too. Nothing on the map rang a bell, but I'm sure with your detective skills, we'll find something!"

Komaru Naegi

She shook her head as she watched the boy and hamsters a moment, then glanced to her brother and the witch girl again. She dipped her head to Himiko, then tilted her head a bit. "Um...N-No..." she muttered, though couldn't stop Himiko from calling her that. "Oh, um...we're siblings, and my name is Komaru" she said with a light nod.

SHUICHI SAIHARA:
Nothing at all? That sounds awful. Shuichi doesn't know how Hajime can be so calm; he wouldn't hold up half as well in his situation. Perhaps it warrants some suspicion too, to be such an outlier among their group. It could be a lie, after all. Maybe Hajime has some reason to hide everything about himself. But innocent before proven guilty, Shuichi reminds himself, and he really doesn't want to think Hajime would lie to them like that.

At the mention of his detective skills, he can't help but look off to the side. "Ah... You weren't there when we introduced ourselves, but... I'm not a real detective. I'm just an apprentice... For an Ultimate, I'm not very impressive."

"But Hope's Peak chose you for a reason, right? I'm sure they wouldn't make a mistake," Kiibo says.

"I just... accidentally solved a case I came across and..." He doesn't really know where he's going with this. "Anyways, let's just get going. I'm not saying I won't do my best to help; I'm sure with the three of us, we'll be able to find something."

He heads over to the door and holds it open for the other boys.

Himiko Yumeno

"Siblings," Himiko parrots, "nyeh... my magic is once again correct." She looks up, glancing between Makoto and Komaru. Despite having woken up not too long ago, she can't help but yawn. This was already too much to take in for one day, and she didn't even have a clue what was really going on.

The mage notices how Komaru doesn't mention her talent, but she's more interested in Makoto's statement. "The Ultimate... Lucky Student?" she asks. "How does that work?"

Hajime Hinata

Shuichi really needs more confidence in himself, Hajime thinks. From what he can remember of Hope's Peak, they only choose the best of the best, the most elite and skilled of their talent. Shuichi putting down his own Ultimate and doubting Hope's Peak's choice worries him. Hajime knows there's a reason he admires Hope's Peak: the unlimited potential from the students that attend and the impact they have on the world.

The detective heads to the door, but Hajime has to say something before they leave. "I agree with Kiibo," he says to Shuichi. "Hope's Peak wouldn't take in just anyone. If you only had the skillset of an apprentice, they wouldn't have invited you to attend. You've already proved yourself worthy of being the Ultimate Detective."

He exits Kiibo's power lab, giving a smile and a "thank you" to Shuichi as he walks through the open door. Once everyone is outside, he pulls up the map again on the wristwatch. "It looks like your lab is back in the main building, Shuichi." It was quite the walk, as the outside area was huge, but it wasn't too bad now that all three of them could walk properly.

(OOC: Shuichi's thoughts made me think of Rantaro's "I'm not a suspicious guy" line, which, yes, definitely made me think he was suspicious at first. Also, glad you caught the name thing... it might've been weird for her to refer to Komaru as Sound Waves all the time, but I'll definitely still try to sneak in the nickname sometimes!)
