PLOT

humans have been companions with pokemon ever since long ago. we have grown to love them, and invite them into our lives. we adore their many shapes and sizes, and most in the pokemon world can safely say that we enjoy their friendship, and we love training by their side in order to become stronger as individuals.

however, not everyone is willing to live alongside pokemon peacefully. an evil team who calls themselves "the nebula organization" is on the rise in a new region, the ayra region. they disguise themselves as an innovative team wanting to help humanity improve their technology and better their society. much of the public falls for this guise, and the organization has received much praise. however, under the surface, the nebula organization is corrupt. they abuse pokemon, and have even gone so far as to try and use the power of the mythical pokemon, mew, so they can gain its powers of every living pokemon. none of this is known to the public, and the nebula organization is trying to keep this under wraps as much as possible.

it is up to common members of society in the ayra region to stop this organization. will you, a trainer with a heart of gold, help stop the nebula organization, and free all of the trapped pokemon and save mew?

RULES / NOTES

1. all cs roleplay rules apply!
2. reservations are welcome, but try to refrain from making a reservation and then not following up on it.
3. you may roleplay up to two characters.
4. lgbt+ trainers and pokemon are welcome!
5. you may have up to six pokemon per trainer.
6. please pm me if you want to add a legendary/mythical pokemon to your trainer's team.
7. drama/disagreements/fighting in-character is okay and encouraged, as well as crushes and relationships.
8. if you have more than one trainer, they may not have crushes/relationships with each other.
9. i will play any npcs (including employees of the nebula organization, pokemon such as mew, etc.)
10. this is the first roleplay i have hosted on my own. i apologize if i make any mistakes or if things are a bit disorganized at first!

mako | he/they | 16 | location: a clearing | tags: open | form

mako was travelling a clearing a few miles away from a town they had last stayed at. yvonne, maru, and peril walked beside him as per usual of every adventure they had. the grass in this area was no longer than an inch tall; mako could hear the ground crunch underneath their feet. they didn't know if there would be any trainers in the area, but that was okay. just exploring with their pokemon was more than fine. although, he did feel a bit odd travelling without any sort of map on-hand. he probably needed to get a navigational app of some sort on his phone in order to navigate this region better.
mako stopped for a second to pet both yvonne and peril. yvonne rumbled happily, and peril pushed her head into mako's hand. "this region is so confusing, isn't it?" they murmured to their pokemon. "luca!" maru said indignantly, expecting to be petted too. "oh, don't think i forgot about you. i only have two hands," mako replied to the lucario, reaching over to scratch behind her ear. maru closed her eyes and gave a smile of satisfaction. "it is possible that we may find some trainers around here," the trainer said, quietly with a slight smile of endearment. "if we find any, try to behave, if you please."

Kodii Venero :: Twenty-two :: ~open
Kodii sat beneath a tree, frowning at his phone as he inspected a map of the region. He hadn't thought much about getting to know the area when he'd first arrived but even he could acknowledge that wandering aimlessly in a new region wasn't the best plan a trainer could have. He'd taken the chance to allow most of his pokemon out to roam -- the exception being Naoi who tended to get into trouble with wild pokemon if left to his own devices. Riuqa was rather calmly lounging near him in the sun and Ko appeared to be dozing further into the trees where it was a little darker. Virus and Izzy seemed to be in an argument about something a distance away, he didn't know what and had long since stopped bothering to try and figure it out or break them up. It never escalated and they seemed to work it out eventually. And Arc... well Kodii had lost track of Arc a while ago, which was a dangerous fact in its own right. At least the Rotom didn't tend to cause any harm to people or pokemon with any of their pranks. They'd come back on their own if he called, more likely than not, and there wasn't much property damage they could cause away from towns anyway.

CAULIE + HE/ITS + LOCATION: TALL GRASS + TAGS: MAKO
caulie trudged on in the long, large grass that enveloped him. he picked up in a running pace, the tall grass made him uncomfortable to walk in, the constant touching of skin to grass made him sick. hex could feel the tension in caulie's pace, and softly chirped a melody. hex was perched on top of caulie's shoulder, like it always was, calm and peaceful as a bump on a log. the melody helped calm caulie down as he left the grass.

as he sprinted from the grass to a clearing with shorter grass, a pep in his sprint made his hair go wild, the three parts of his skirt hitting against his knees, and thumping the small TM against his chest, something that also calmed him down - the constant thump-thump-thump against his binded chest gave him something to focus on. he skidded into the clearing, taking the TM and chewing on it. in the corner of his eye, he spotted a trainer and some big looking pokemon on their side. "WOW HEXY BOLT! do ya see em?" caulie's words were distorted by the chew-thing. the meltan chirped in response, excited at the opportunity. caulie once again bolted to the other side of the large clearing.

"HEY YOU!!" caulie pointed in the direction of the trainer, showing off his bandaged arm. "ONCE TWO TRAINERS LOCK EYES!! ITZ TIME FOR A BATTLE!!" caulie grabbed for his love ball, containing clocky.

mako turned, his eyes widening at seeing another trainer. this one seemed a bit hyper, but he didn't mind at all.
"of course! i will never turn down a battle," mako responded, a calm air of confidence in their voice. "okay, yvonne, i choose you!" the charizard flew in front of them, stomping on the ground and roaring. mako turned to their other pokemon, getting out an ultra ball and a dusk ball. "you two can return to your pokeballs, okay?" the liepard and lucario sounded in affirmation, before the trainer sent them back to their pokeballs.
mako turned to face this new trainer. "my yvonne hasn't had a battle in this new region yet," they said. "but we're both experienced, and we're ready for whatever you have." he continued, smiling a little bit. "what pokemon do you choose?"

caulie grinned and, with a flick of his wrist and a large jump, threw out the love ball. "CLOCKY! i know we can do this!!"
he turned to the trainer in front of him, a large black pokemon floating up in the air behind them. that made caulie a little nervous. hed never seen that pokemon before.. or had he? it was so familiar but yet so strange. "IVE NEVER BATTLED HERE EITHER! LETS MAKE THIS A SPECIAL BATTLE!" he smiled at the trainer. the klinklang ground her gears together, looking expectantly at caulie. he gave the hunk of metal a large hug and sat criss-cross on the dirt, placing the small meltan on his head. he jumped up, shouting "USE GEAR GRIND!"

yvonne roared in pain as she was hit by the attack. she instinctively flew into the air, trying to get away from the klingklang. mako gritted their teeth a bit. "yvonne, use flamethrower!" they shouted quickly. as soon as the command was issued, the charizard hovered higher up and breathed a stream of searing-hot flames from within her throat at clocky.

Well, Kichirou had just arrived in the region, and from what little he saw from it, it was looking pretty nice so far. The airport he had landed at was rather close to the edge of town, so he just grabbed a map and headed straight to the nearest route. It was rather nice outside, with a couple of pleasant breezes. Most of the grass was short, so he probably wouldn't have to worry about getting snuck up on by wild pokemon. Once he got farther out into the route, he'd let his pokemon out of their balls. They were probably tired of being cooped up in them over the long flight to the region. It would give them more room to roam around the place, and Nero was much less likely to cause any property damage out in the middle of the plains.
