"Eh, I don't mind crowds much, to tell you the truth. I may seem like a loner, but I do enjoy the company of people most of the time." Trevor sat up when she came back with the food. He smiled and took one of the nachos and bit into it. "Mmm. I like this stuff a lot."

"Oh that had to hurt." Just thinking about it made Lynn cringe and touch the back of her head. "Something troubling you?" She noticed how his smile had faded. Or, it was just because he was tired of smiling. She wasn't sure what.

Fire smiled, savoring the taste. "Ian doesn't let me eat anything fattening or greasy."

"Why not?" Trevor asked her curiously. "That sort of stuff is what I live off of, really." He took another one and ate that too. "He's your brother, right?"

She nodded. "Yup, he's my brother. But he's overprotective to the extend that he gets cruel and violent. He's never hit me though." She felt that it was necessary to add that last bit.

Her analysis of him stung. Octavian was shocked to hear it and shocked that she was talking more openly with this stranger than she ever has with him.

"I'm glad that he never hit you," Trevor replied as he wiped his hands on his pants. "I can't imagine what guy would, you know? I wouldn't smack a girl on my life. Other guys, sure. I'm used to picking fights with 'em."

Fire laughed. He was a big softie, he just expressed it differently. She ate another chip. "What's your ideal life look like? Would you have a family, where would you be, et cetera."

"I know that I'd want a family at some point. When I have enough money and I can kick my bad habits," Trevor replied as he leaned back on the bed again, his hands behind his head. "I don't have a clue on what my job and stuff would be. I just know that I want a house that could fit four. Enough for me, my wife, and possibly two kids. And, I don't care if the home is in the city or out in the suburbs. What about you?"

Lynn watched him for a moment and soon shrugged. "If you say so." She twisted the cap on her soda and began to drinka little bit of it again. "What's your favorite time of day? The night? Or the day?"

"Well," Fire began "I guess I could get married, but if I want to travel then I shouldn't have kids. Unless we live somewhere exotic, then I'd stay." She smiled at it. "I even have baby names picked out! Is that creepy?" She had a feeling it was, but didn't have any friends to ask.
