Midnight flew back to her cave in hopefully getting away from the battle. she looked down by the water as sono as she landed to cheack for any blood. she cleaned the blood away from her cheeck and cleane doff most of the dirt from being flung. "Stupid fire dragons....why don't we all pick on the little darkenss dragon." Midnight mumbled before walking into her deep dark cave to lay down. "I wish you where here to help..ma...pa" Midnight could see the brighest star fro a hole in her cave which alows moonlight to flood in. Deep blue crystals were glisteing in the deep with the shimmering moonlight. "I love this cave" Midnight soon laid down by the biggest blue crystal in the cave and fell asleep.

Rukia's mask broke... her face clearly showed her pain and horror and she backed away still."no...no no no NO!!"she wailed, trembling all over, tears streaking down her face.Memeories started flooding back. She remembered her parents agonized cries, the large water dragons with blood in there eyes. she remembered looking up with absolute terror as she watched, and glancing to the side to see to dragons her current age...her heart sank. one, was Ray. Rukia burst into many more tears, her eyes red with them. she felt her legs become weak beneath her and she felt suddenly, terribly alone.

Ray rushed fowards, catching Rukia in his arms before she fell, and eased her to the ground, memories pushing their way to the front of his mind. He remembered his mother pushing him into the den, and the snapping, biting, crunching of bones and scales, and the shrieks of terror and pain. He remembered pushing his way out of the den and catching sight of the battle, then a small hatchling about his age petrified with fear. After that, his Mother and Father refused to talk about Darkness dragons. "I'm so sorry, Forgive me." He whispered, backing away once more.

Zu scaned the terain and saw no one, then when he was turning away from it all, giving up, he saw adragin duck into a cave. (Midnight) He darted for the cave. He landed on the outer edge with no sound at all. He went into the mouth of the cave, "Please, i need your help!" he shouted

Midnight shot her head up at the sound of the voice and ran to the enterance of her cave. "what's wrong?" Midnight asked in a shocked out of breathe tone as she looked at the dragon calling her "Who are you?" midnight asked as she titled her head slightly.

A loud wail erupted from Rukia and she shoved herself away from Ray, tears streaking down her face.She tore from his grip and got up shakily, taking several steps back, staring at him as if he had just flat out hit her for no reason. "No!"she screamed."You dont understand! how?! how do you expect me to just...just..."she put her hands to her head, running her fingers through her black hair, closing her eyes tight."You dont know! you dont know the pain i went through every day!"she looked up sharply at Ray, her sorrow and pain obvious in her eyes."I have been alone, all my life! You had a brother! and parents for most of your time!"she was trembling now, walking backwards."you dont understand! i have never in my life felt loved! and if i did i never remembered!"her eyes showed NO hate for ray.she didnt hate him, but her emotions were tearing from her."

Ray took more steps back, fear and pain in his eyes. "Your right, I don't understand." He whispered, his emotions were mixed. He was hurt by Rukia's attitude, but he felt ashamed, and sorry.

Rukia's tears were turning the white part of her eyes red and she stood there for a moment, looking back at ray. Before turning and racing away a few yards then leaping into the air, imedietly turning to her dragon form and streaked through the trees. disappearing into what little sadows there was. she wasnt angry wit ray..but her sorrow and memories were coming back....
