Rukia smiled and Ray."Im ok ray.And yeah, she was trying to kill some other younger dragons again...i tried to draw her away and, uh,..it sorta wroked...."She sighed gently touched one of her burns."im fine. my scales are hard too.Believe it or not, she didnt hit me hard."Rukia moved to a straighter back sitting position and watched Ray with soft green eyees.

"Rukia....I-I went to find my brother and ask him something. I think you might want to hear what Tiak told me..." Ray muttered, the sickening feeling returning. For all he knew, Rukia could attack him, or tell him to never show his face around her again. He dind't want that to happen.

Rukia's smiling face hardened into a worried frown, she tilted her head slightly to once side and stood up, her wounds already healing.she looked up at the boy in front of her with concerned green eyes."what?"she asked, sensing something was wrong...

"M-My Parents....t-they killed yours..." Ray murmured, pain filling his turquoise eyes. He felt terrible. Sick, unloyal, and a traitor for letting her know this, but he knew he wouldn't have been able to keep the secret from Rukia long. "I'm so sorry."

Rukia's eyes widened, and for a moemnt, evry thing seemed to bein slow motion....It was so quiet, rukia could hear her heart beat and her quickening breath. The girl had had a pretty blue flower in her hands when Ray had come, and now, it fell from he grasp to the ground. She didnt move for a long time, just staring back at Ray with her almost blank eyes.After a while she seemed to regain her concioussness and she stood, her eyes wide with the horrible realization that ray was not lying.her shoulders slumped slightly and she took a step back, shaking her head in dismay."n-n-no...."she whipsered."y-y-your lying...."she searched ray's eyes desperately, hoping this was nothing but a trick.

Ray backed away as well, pain and agony welling up inside of him. Why should he feel like this? After all, he didn't do anything.....He nodded shakily, his turquoise eyes pleading. "It's not a lie, but please forgive me." He whispered sadly.

Rukia's mask broke... her face clearly showed her pain and horror and she backed away still."no...no no no NO!!"she wailed, trembling all over, tears streaking down her face.Memeories started flooding back. She remembered her parents agonized cries, the large water dragons with blood in there eyes. she remembered looking up with absolute terror as she watched, and glancing to the side to see to dragons her current age...her heart sank. one, was Ray. Rukia burst into many more tears, her eyes red with them. she felt her legs become weak beneath her and she felt suddenly, terribly alone.
