    xxxxxhe had faced.. many difficult situations in his infamous career as a hero, while slowly sliding into the morals of properly and healthily managing a family.. as soon as little emma had been placed a small bundle of joy in his arms, all of his skills and mindsets to keeping the world a happy place had ebbed away. a mindless zombie was no way to describe it, he loved talking to both his beautiful wife and daughter everyday, but it had been work, home, work, home, watching the hands of the clock tick by in a ruthlessly slow manner behind the safety of a cubicle. he was definitely getting older as well, there was no denying that part. the age wasn't exactly.. showing yet, like it was through hal's expressionism, but he would be getting there soon. the spirit, the fire, had died, the teenage spirit he had prided himself in for sprinting around the city like a small junebug, all gone. he was too tired for any love songs towards villainy or heroic actions at the moment, but here he was. the younger brunette chewed on his lip anxiously as lark's words sunk in and settled like a sunken stone in an ocean.. it was a treasure too deep to dive for. there was no way that anybody in this prison could possibly maneuver their way out of this sick mess. everyone looked just as out of shape for this epidemic as he was, and there were few cures for a couple of ex-heroes with no motivation. the only thing that was helping him even contribute to the conversation was the way emma's eyes lit up whenever she saw the sunrise.. it was the most amusing and gorgeous thing ever, knowing he was a somewhat on his own here if he ever wanted to experience that again. the female providing their information was very.. disgruntled, who knew how accurate her sources were. hal might even be right.. this could be a much different and bigger story than that was currently being relayed to them. "hold on.. are you guys sure that this is-" and for what he could recall to be the second time, he was cut off, as an angry lark socked the poor man close to her. oh dear. if this was going to turn into some kind of gang fight over who got the spoon to dig themselves out, he was out. his feet had involuntarily began walking him down this gruesome path, and they seemed determined to keep him going the full way. and now their seemed.. to be many different twists and turns, and he wasn't quite sure how to navigate anymore - in other words, he was confused. who was barry? did those two know each other? was the good looking guy known as oliver actually responsible for this tangled web of mysteries and lies? peter felt like an amateur in their 'strategic' planning session, not sure what was exactly happening.. he needed a little bit more elaboration, and only on one detail. was his emma in danger? that was the only thing that was playing on loop through his head, a song of risk.. that hopefully wouldn't have to be taken. the leathery voice of the old man comforted him (oddly) to some extent, providing a tone of knowledge, and somewhat a sense of authority and power over the other lunatics who seemed to be jumped to conclusions. gas? cliche. a classic move on the warden's part.. so he was a little bit of traditional guy. it wasn't much a piece of useful information, but anything would help the web slinger at this point, just to collect facts for his difficult case, and pull together a big picture. "thanks for the history lesson.. but," he cleared his throat, not wanting to come off as rude whatsoever, but he couldn't help himself in this situation. his concern for his little girl only increasingly grew into a larger bout of pain, something he was defenseless against. if he didn't see her or mj soon, he would completely fall apart like the alamo. "i just need something to be clear. where do our kids come in? this guy is dangerous - obviously, and his tricks are a little unpredictable. but i will do anything for my daughter, and her safety is the only thing on my mind right now," the male's weak and quiet voice rung out in a surprising defiance against the walls of the courtyard, hoping his thought process would at least resonate to oliver, who looked just as worried as he did.

Christie nodded at William's comment, though she wasn't sure what to answer him with just yet. Her first instinct was that it was a good thing - sure, maybe they wouldn't all get along, but they all had the same goal, right? And there was strength in numbers, right? So the more of them there were, the more likely they were to get their parents out in the end. It made sense to her, but she knew her step-sister often disagreed. So, instead, Christie took a backseat in the conversation and waited for the other to say something first. Though, she also seemed to be unsure of herself, which was making Christie restless. The younger girl began nervously fidgeting with her skirt, the iridescent blue patches shimmering gently as she did so. When Holly spoke up, she frowned, then interjected herself with, "I mean, we're all here with the same goal, right?" However, afterwards, she tapered off abruptly, very softly murmuring after herself with, "I think we have better chances, at least..." And turned her head, looking off into the distance. For a split second, she could've sworn she'd seen something move, but after a moment of staring, it didn't happen again, so she fitfully chalked it up to her own nervousness.

Holly put her hand on her chin thoughtfully, making a cautious examination of the group standing across the street. "Guess there's a lot of masked heroes who have kids, huh?" She asked, thought quite obviously rhetorically. Where she was from, the thought that there were this many masked heroes at all would be staggering, but since there was obviously dimensional travel at play here, such was much more feasible. But there were a lot more questions at play: had they just taken anyone they could get? The voice had implied that they weren't the first batch to be brought to this place, so such was unlikely - and concerning. This mastermind certainly didn't expect too much from them, which didn't bode well for the ragtag bunch of kids who'd all jumped through their respective portals. "You think that's a good thing, or a bad thing?" Holly decided to ask, not sure of where her instincts were taking her and wanting the input of their new acquaintance. "I mean, I don't wanna sound like a downer, but big groups of masks don't always get along, at least where I'm from." Holly remarked, attempting to seem cautious but not outrightly opposed to the idea of working with a large group - which she wasn't, necessarily; in her mind, she was just trying to be realistic. Seeing what looked like a robot take off from the gaggle across the road, Holly glimpsed the brief whiff of smoke rise in the distance and frowned harshly. "And I'll assume that's not a good sign..." She sighed, trying to hide the extent of her apprehension.

Emma May Parker ~ "Oh she's just bein Spidey!"
Spider-Man’s daughter // 17 // Avenger // Spider-Girl // tags: Sarah, Lea, Ash, Mayhem, Anna

Emma's eyes widened at the thing known as "Mayhem." It looked very close in resemblance to her and it creeped her out, even more, when it showed it's symbiote side. She quickly got up with the help of Lea and rubbed the back of her neck to make sure there was no blood before tapping at the little screen on her web-shooters to set her webs to taser, hoping that would work on this sort of creature. She started shooting as it drew nearer and the other two were fighting it off and sighing in relief as Sarah, Fredrick, and Anna dropped in. "Oh thank god!" She huffed as she rolled and dodged an attack from Mayhem. She huffed in annoyance as Mayhem just kept coming at her and not caring at all about the fact that she was outnumbered, "Okay, now you're really startin to get on my nerves." She muttered and flipped about to try and dodge as many hits as she could while the rest tried to help her fight the symbiote off. "Hey uh Mayhem, person, thing. Can you just like uh, stop trying to bite my head off? Yeah, that would be great, thanks!" Em swung and shot some more webs, helping her friends to contain this creature and keep it away from her. It just wouldn't quit until Freddy swooped down and carried her down to everyone else and plopped her down next to Bexley, bloody nose, busted lip, and everything else on her body like scratches and scrapes. "I had it on the ropes." She huffed in annoyance to Fredrick who was about to fly off to help the others. "Clearly." She heard him say with a hint of sarcasm, and fairly sassy for a literal robot. If only her dad were here, they would have had that symbiotic taken care of way quicker. Just the thought of him wouldn’t leave her head, and it was starting to effect her Spidey sense which wasn’t a good thing.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sarah Peggy Rogers ~ "Cuz I'm with you pal, to the end of the line."
Captain America’s daughter // 18 // Avenger // Miss America // tags: Bexley, Em, Lea, Redwing, Ash, America, Alexi, Mayhem
Sarah side smiled, "Yeah, I guess. I just never thought of it that way. Everyone from the '40s thought of my dad as a sign of hope for America during the whole 'cut off one head, two more shall take its place' thing." She mocked and shrugged, raising a brow at everyone's, excluding her team's, very confused and weary faces. "Oh! Haha, I'll explain that later." She turned back to America, with slight disappointment in her eyes, and a confused look etched on her face. She always thought that her dad, Bucky, and she were the only super-soldiers, was she not special anymore? It may sound narcissistic to anyone else, but to her being a super-soldier was an honor to her. It made her feel important and cool with what she could do, how everyone loved her not only as a great friend but an awesome teammate too, and how she could really connect with her dad. Sarah felt almost jealous that this new girl, who happened to also go by Captain or Miss in other dimensions and able to kick down doors to them, be way cooler than she was. Like everyone would see Sarah as just some soldier with a shield. Shrugging off the negative thoughts and chuckling anyway, realizing that this was literally another dimension and let alone being one of the many places in the multiverse and this girl could literally go to whichever dimension she wanted to after they get their parents and me Captain or Miss America elsewhere. "Sure, long's you don't kick us into another dimension, we're good." She laughed lightly and whipped her head around to see Bexley fangirling over Redwing's tech, shaking her head and chuckling to herself before running after Bex while she yelled at Fredrick to stop Emma and Lea and some other dude from stopping some weird thingy trying to kill Em. "What the Hell?" She muttered and grabbed her shield as Bexley packed all their things and prepare to run, she glanced around and saw a truck across the street. "Hey! Anyone know how to hotwire that?!" She pointed at the car until she felt a gush of wind and smirked at the comment, Alexi... After their little encounter, Sarah grabbed her shield and sprinted off behind Fredrick to try and cool down the fight with the three heroes and one weird creature. She landed with a small thud as Fredrick dropped her on the roof and went to the other side of the little fire bubble, "Hey, that's enough! Unless you wanna kill us all then stop it with the whole trying to blow up Teethy over there!" She threw her shield at them to make them stop.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Lea Maddison Heafter ~ "Blaze on!"
Basically the Avengers' kid // Blaze // 17 // Avenger // tags: Sarah, Em, Ash, Mayhem

Lea kept firing at Mayhem along with Ash, hissing at as what her powers were doing to it. "Sssssss, Ooooo, you might wanna clean that up when this is over." She mocked and cringed at the slow self-healing, and man was this thing relentless in trying to get to Em. It just kept slashing and coming at them with no remorse or any sanity, with a few punches here and there, by the end of this she was gonna look like a tiger with all the scratches. Blaze ended up getting knocked over pretty roughly and skidded to the corner of the building, clutching to the side as she almost fell off and using all her might to pull herself back up to cont8 he the fight. Slightly panicking when Em wasn't there but was reassured when Freddy came back and told Sarah that she was safe with Bexley and the rest while they could take care of the creature. ”Hey you, what do you think you’re doing!? Helping out in this sick game the Warden is playing?” She stood right in front of everybody else, her arm extended with orbs of fire, ready to fight even more despite the gashes on her arms, the scrapes on her face, and bruised lip. She glanced at the others and waited for the Mayhem to say something, even the slightest sign of movement, Lea wouldn’t hesitate to hurt this symbiote. It brought back memories of the day her best friend Aleah was killed by Hydra, they set lose one of Lea’s own kind to kill her just to get to Lea. She hadn’t even noticed her lip quivered and a tear slipped down her cheek at the thought of losing another friend.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alexi Maximoff ~ "What? You didn't see that coming?"
Quicksilver's daughter // Quicksilver // 18 // Avenger // tags: Anna, the groups
Alexi sped off, blue streaks behind her, trying to find some form of life around her. Skidding to a halt when she spotted the familiar faces of her team and some new people, she zoomed across the street and stopped as she leaned an elbow in Sarah's shoulder and smirked. "What, you didn't see that coming? Oh and uh watch your language Cap." She laughed as she turned her head to face the rest of the group, salute waving to the newbies. "Sup, Alexi Maximoff, aka Quicksilver. How ya doin?" She nodded her head to them and chuckled, waving Bexley off playfully. "Alright alright, now's not a good time but uh, I could get that truck up and running in about 5 minutes if ya want?" She smirked and pointed her thumb to the truck behind her and Sarah, "Ight, see ya in a giffy!" And with that, she sped off to the car and got to work on it. She didn't even realize that her cousin had shown up just seconds after she left and was currently trying to help Fredrick and Sarah with what was going on up on the roof of a nearby building, as she worked on the wires connecting to the engine. She finally got it running but it shut down a few seconds later, she tried it yet again but it did the same thing. After another two minutes eh got frustrated and stomped back to the rest and shook her head and sighed with disappointment and frustration as she leaned her back on the wall, her bag already being fully packed and practically untouched since she got here.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Anna Maximoff ~ "I don't even know who you are." "You will..."
Scarlet Witch's daughter // Scarlet Witch // 17 // Avengers // tags: Alexi, the groups, Ash, Mayhem

Anna was furious, first her mom, then her uncle, and now she can't even find her cousin! She grumbled in aggravation and quickly grabbed an emergency bag that she always kept packed and slipped on her suit. She jogged through the portal and saw just a glimpse of blue streaks very quickly, sighing in relief and smiling to herself, knowing that was her cousin Alexi and ran towards the way she had went. She didn't even notice the world around her until she stopped to take a breather, it was horrendous and gross to her making her shudder as she quickly retracted her hand from the wall she was leaning on, she shook off the eery feeling that had just run down her spine and took off again. She heard talking and the familiar voice of Alexi and the rest of her team but also some new people, she jogged over to the group and made it see just another glimpse of blue streaks before she whipped her head to the other group and then Sarah. "Scarlet Witch, nice to meet you, but uh now's sort of not a great time to be introducing ourselves." She side smiled and turned back to the direction Cap and Freddy had gone and whisked away with her newfound floating/flying abilities, landing softly and gracefully and in her stance on the roof behind the fire bubble that Lea had around her and Emma. She raised a brow at the creature that was headed straight for Em, "Not gonna lie, you're weirding me out, dude!" She called to the creature as Sarah threw her shield at them and Fredrick fired up his repulsors. She tried her best to fling chunks of literally anything towards the symbiote but nothing seemed to work since it just kept rehealing itself, except the fire from Lea and the new guy, that was doing some damage. Anna popped it upside the head with a piece of a broken lampost, catching it off-guard so Spidey could try and get away as the creature seemed to be targetting only her.

bruh, why is Anna and Alexi’s fonts so small compared to the others? I literally didn't have the coding any different than the rest???????

Cassandra was taken aback by the way the woman spoke to green lantern, she hadn't ever heard anyone come on so strongly so quickly. Fading even further into the background she settled for just watching everything go down. While she had felt a twinge of worry when the warden mentioned the kids she had assumed that he was lying and that he hadn't actually taken the kids. However the moment this new person started to reveal what she was so bitter over she knew the truth. It was everywhere in the body language of this new person, she didn't need to hear the words to know that this woman was going to tell them that their kids where here. From the way she spoke she assumed that the kids in this world and any world that these other heroes came from hadn't made it. When the new person also named Lark finally was able to tell them the truth she was prepared for the words that spilled out of her mouth. From the body language of Oliver the hero hadn't been expecting this at all. Taking a soft breath she let her eyes flutter shut as she calmed her emotions. Her son was strong and he would not get caught, she had taught him well there was no way he wouldn't show up. Besides these were the kids of the Justice League, there weren't any stronger kids around and if anyone could free them it would be those kids. Shifting slightly she pondered going over to Oliver to reassure him but for the life of her she couldn't think of the right thing to say. Besides even if she did find the words to reassure the other hero she would have given herself away and that was something she couldn't risk. If she did managed to get away she aimed to do it as soon as possible so that she could guide the kid here as well as warn them about the warden.

Jason could feel the excitement practically dripping off the other hero, he understood the feeling it was the same when someone showed interest in his abilities. Not that he really needed anyone asking about them to feel better about himself it was just something that he always liked to talk about. It wasn't very often that heroes didn't actually posses any powers and of those heroes not many got the same amount of attention that their fellow powered heroes got. Pushing those thoughts aside he perked up when she told him that she was more than willing to tell him everything about the robot. Her condition of getting information about his own computer wasn't unexpected and he was more than willing to share what he knew. His grandfather had patented the whole small computer that could be just as strong if not stronger than a desktop computer. However he had taken it a step further and managed to find a way to up the power to allow for larger holograms and faster speeds which allowed for speedier hacking jobs. "Of course that is to be expected, information for information. Besides if it can be done it would be cool to be able to implement it into your suit I have a back up with me if we ever find time to sit down and dissect your suit maybe we could add it in" he said quickly. He had to get it all out before she started talking again. It seemed that she also knew sign language which was very helpful, if he hadn't already stepped up to the plate then he would have told her that she should sign instead of him. However now that he had taken on that responsibility he didn't feel right just pushing that off onto someone else. He could have but he just couldn't.

Pushing those thoughts aside he turned back to Iron to say something else but he noticed that she was distracted by something else. Moving to find whatever had caught her attention he finally saw what was so bad. There was a trail of smoke coming from the direction that he had seen a couple of the other heroes run off to. Almost as if moving as one the moment that Iron started moving he also moved. Easily keeping at pace with the other hero he followed them further into the street to get a good look at what was going on. It seemed like there was a fight happening. He started to motion towards Alex when his new found geeky friend started panicking and informed them why she was so freaked out. The ooze on fire equaled a very bad time for his merry band of misfits. Spinning on his heels he motioned towards Alex only to find that his friend had already followed him over there. "Your faster than I am go make sure that everyone gets out of this alive" he ordered casually like it was something that he was used to. It wasn't true but he was very confident in his friends absurd abilities, while he was very good at what he did his own abilities had never gotten to inhuman. Or at least that was what he thought. Turning his attention to Iron he followed her back to the group, he hadn't even bother to unpack so all he had to do was sling both his bag and Alex's bag over his shoulders. "Bat will help get the other to safety, we should focus on the heroes with us. That smoke will alert any villains nearby and if we have a time limit of twenty minutes then we don't really have the time to go around fighting people" he said in a reasonable way and glanced around looking for William. Once he found the younger hero he motioned for them to join him. He couldn't help but notice that he had found other heroes, ones that were probably better than him. He vaguely recognized them.

Alex found that he wasn't really being talked to which wasn't something he was really bothered by, in fact it was what he liked. It was from having a mother who rarely used her voice so he found the quiet to be much more relaxing than anything. However he was forced to snap out from his spaced out self when he heard the Iron Maiden's shouting his. His gaze snapped to the reason the other girl was shouting. It seemed that there was a trail of smoke coming from the direction that he had seen two heroes run off to. It was also then that he spotted his friend start to motion him over, if Jason was telling to come over then it had to be important. Jogging forward he moved to join the pair in the street. As soon as he made it over he was being told to go and help the group that had just splintered off. Despite the fact that he was used to his friend taking charge of thing he wasn't entirely used to be ordered about by them. However he wasn't about to counter his friends orders especially when they had only just become a leader of the Justice League. Besides it made sense, he was able to read body language like it was his first langue and he was also slightly faster and stronger than even the most fit. With a swift nod he agreed to helping the other out before breaking into a sprint. He was joined quickly by the other hero known as Cap, not that the other hero was really joining him they were just heading in the same direction. Despite his extra speed he arrived slightly after the hero with a shield. Lifting his hand he aimed his grapple gun at the building behind the creature and leaped into the air flying over the crowd and landed neatly on the other side. Flanking usually helped in battles like this. It helped to contain the threat. "I would listen to Cap. The ooze here is dangerous if we have any hope of getting out of this town alive we need to either stop the fire or get out now" he shouted in attempt to be heard.

Glenn couldn't help but notice the way that Laura seemed to stiffen as his touch, it was something that she probably didn't mean to do and it was understandable. However despite knowing that it was necessary for him to travel with her he still felt some guilt at forcing the physical contact, he had learned very quickly that not everyone appreciated it. Sure it seemed to be a lot of peoples go to, a hug, a handshake. That wasn't the case for everyone, there were plenty of people who shied away from any contact and he could understand why. If he wasn't so hyper all the time he might have been like them. He found when he was feeling particularly hyper by being in contact with another human being that he could kind of transfer some of his extra energy to them. No it wasn't a superpower even non powered people were capable of this. Shaking his head slightly he forced himself to push those thoughts aside in favor of focusing on whatever it was that Laura was pointing at. Oh. Right. The town that they were supposed to being traveling to. With that he gave her a swift nod and took off running without a single warning. It wasn't something he thought was needed. Besides the faster they got to the town the faster that they would be able to find their families. Within moments they were arriving at the second town.

She remained silent and watched everyone. Reading their emotions and feeling them, so many mixed feelings. "Trouble eh?" She noticed the distant smoke and chuckled. "Nothing we can't deal with now is it?" Trying to remain confident and optimistic was difficult but also necessary in a time like this. She silently hovered above the ground, preparing to run if the group fled.

Dinah/Black Canary/Location: Main room/Tags: Oliver, Hal, Peter.

She finally managed to get some strength back and began look around. It wasn't long till she spotted Oliver, which was the main person she was concerned with and she swiftly walked over to him. "Oli..ver!" Her throat still painfully damaged she managed to croak out another statement. "Where... Ar-are we?" She quickly looked over at the others before back at Ollie.

    xxxxxxWhile it wasn’t exactly the same as getting pummeled by a provoked Kryptonian, the punch still did land and quite unexpectedly so after all the doom and gloom Lark had been impeccably portraying for the very brief moment she was with the little group that had formed up into one corner of the hall. And while it wasn’t enough to send him flying gracefully against a wall or anything, it still hurt, and was a sign that the woman still had at least some honest spark in her despite strongly insisting otherwise. Taken slightly back by the impact - he was just an ordinary man after all - Hal snorts out of amusement before theatrically relocating his infamous mouth with a couple rubs across the jawline, watching closely as the figure of a fallen angel spreads out its feathers and lifts off, reaching the ceiling elegantly and with ease, clearly no stranger to such feats. Nor to punching people. It made him wonder, just for a split second - could she be speaking the truth? Eight years… could they really have been trapped here for that long, kept alive even though they’d played out their purpose in this twisted game? It felt insane to even consider such a thing. All these thousands of supposed superheroes packed up in one small location, with least another thousand, young children, all taken or killed under the command of one coward of a person. Operation of such expense, sliding under the radar of both the League and the Corps? Sounds ridiculous, no? Sure, it had been a handful of whiles since he last buried his feet in the sands of Earth, but the last time he checked, the League was still most concerned of the wellbeing of the entire humankind. Same couldn’t always be said of the Corps, albeit understandably, but a tyrant of this measure was a threat to everyone – especially seen as they could immobilize even the mightiest of their targets, although… Hal had trouble remembering how. There was but a black hole where the events prior to his kidnapping should be. The only thing he could say for certain was that something or someone, however, had pulled him back to his kind from the vast depths of outer space. And the Leaguers rarely called him unless it was of utmost urgency. Or if The Bat had his way, they’d severed those ties a long time ago. But dwelling on the past was hardly worth the time.

    xxxxxxTuning in to listen to the old man’s rambling that provided more questions rather than answers, Hal must fight the urge to cut in once more, and when the moment comes, he’s right there to steal the spotlight from the younger hero whose small voice was no match for his thundering decibels. β€œNone of that matters. None of what he says matters either. Even less so if my theory is correct,” is a heavy start for a heavier conversation, and there’s no traces of that previous boredom to be heard, β€œI get it, your kids mean the world to you. That’s why it’s so easy to manipulate you into thinking they’re in danger, hinder you useless, lose all sense. Don’t let that get to you. Instead, turn it around – focus on getting the hell outta here. I promise I will do everything in my power to ensure it happens.” Serious gaze falls upon each one in the circle, attempting to make everyone feel included and loosen some of that yellow yarn, though due to the complex nature of humans he wasn’t expecting all to agree or even listen. So he draws in a subtle smile to stay true to the role he played. β€œBesides, you should all put more trust in your kids. They ought to be disappointed in you for giving up hope,” his eyes move to Oliver, β€œSome more or less.” And if you though the torment was over, oh you’d be so wrong. A familiar voice comes through, though resembles more a cough, and at this Hal raises his brow, still staring at his old friend. β€œThe cards just aren’t playing to your favor today, huh?” is an homage to his previous claims of Oliver’s involvement in pulling him into this situation, and the man laughs quietly with disapproving head shakes. Two members of Team Arrow already. Could the answer be any more obvious? Of course Bruce would pair him up with them, if not for balancing the teams then to open up some old wounds. Dude had always been the sulking type.

    xxxxxxβ€œAlways a sight to see, Canary. And not a day older,” Hal welcomes the blonde into their team of unfortunate ones with a grin dancing on his lips, though it is quick to turn into something a bit more worried at the creakiness of her throat, β€œThough I do wish it were under better circumstances. We need to get out of here, fast.”

Lark /// Prisioner /// 28 /// Tags; Courtroom, the ceiling /// Feeling; Tired, Bitter.

Lark was about two minutes into her tantrum when she realized it was about time that The Warden was releasing his favorite pet upon whatever poor kids remained in the town of eternal fire or as she preferred to call it hell. The winged woman looked downwards at the new inmates who were discussing something, Probably a futile means of escape, and begun an internal debate on wheater or not to warn them of what the Warden was going to force them to watch. She decided not to, what was the point?

Horrible memories began to seep into Lark's mind, memories she thought she had banished a long time ago. A warm smile, a creek on a hot day and the mooing of cows on a farm. Sharp pain in her lip made those memories creep back into the abyss they came from. biting her lip was something she learned to do to bring her back into reality when those thoughts threatened to drag her back into the lie that was hope.

She hadn't had to bite her lip in a long time.

With a soft sigh, Lark dropped to the ground in front of her room with incredible speed. room? When had she started calling this cold cell her room? Once upon a time Lark's landing would have awed people with how powerful and graceful it looked. Now it only looked weak and clumsy. Sulking into her room she made her wings vanish and flopped down on the stone slab she had grown so fond of over the years. She squeezed her eyes shut when the warden began speaking.

Green Arrow /// Parent /// 33 /// Tags; Hal, Peter, Laural /// Feeling; Confident, annoyed, relieved.

Though Oliver didn't exactly like Hal, He had to begrudgingly admit the other man was right, though the snide comment Hal made didn't go unnoticed His sons would all be disappointed in him for losing his head to stress and worry. Oliver had taught his sons how to protect themselves and worrying about them instead of trusting them and focusing on how to escape was only gonna hurt them all in the long run. " There has to be a way out of here." Logically everything had flaws which included this prison but if what was being said was true then this would not be easy. Then again, no prison had ever managed to keep a certain bat locked up for very long and if the whole justice league was here at least one bat was here too.

When Laural showed up with her voice almost gone Oliver himself began to wonder if this had something to do with him. Looking tired as ever he brought his old friend in for a hug shooting Hal a glare. " Are you ok?" He shot her a worried glance before continuing " We aren't too sure where we are exactly or why all that we know is someone took us and our kids might be in danger. " Oliver was about to continue when the old man spoke up again. "If you're really serious about escaping this place then you might wanna get Lark's help, she did spend the longest out of all of us trying to escape. She's bound to know this prison inside out. But first, you gotta convince her theres still hope for-" Whatever the old man was going to say was drowned out as the person the group had come to know as The warden spoke again. " Ladies and gentlmen please direct your attention to the big screen."

" Ladies and gentlemen please direct your attention to the big screen." A large screen popped up in the air of the courtyard showing a burning town and certain kids in said town. "On our right we have the unbeaten Firebug! He's never lost a fight obviously." The prisoner who had already seen this before begain to return to their cells not wanting to watch the horribly unfair fight. only leaving the new prisoners. " and on our left, we have the horribly boring heros. They lose a lot of fight" the Warned spoke with mock disappointment as the screen flashed to each of the kids. "Now Let the games begin." a sickening laugh was the last thing heard from the warden.

So much was going on at once Bexley could already feel the effects of Overstimulation and she rubbed her forehead, This was an issue she needed to get rid of if she wanted to be a hero like her sister. The sound of Fredrick dropping her friend next to her snapped Bexx back into reality and she paused in her bag packing, kneeling next to Em. "Thanks Fred, Hey you ok? do you need any medical treatment." she was aware of the other heroes getting ready to leave and something about a car and hot wiring it caught her attention. After they escape this town they really needed to find a place to set up camp and establish a chain of command because this was pure Chaos.

Bexley was about to get up and go hotwire the truck but as she stood from where she was kneeling the sound of fire being cast from behind her made her twirl around just in time to watch a ball of fire shoot past her head and towards the truck. A loud explosion told her that there was no more truck. Out of the ruins of a building stepped a humanoid figure about the size of a teen. It wore a red jumpsuit with a tan mask, holes for eyes and mouth. The Jumpsuit had a name tag that read Firebug. Fire seemed to drip off this humanoid-like water almost and its silence was deafening compared to the raging fire that began to consume the town the currently stood in. They had "Twenty minutes to escape."

Laura was lost in thought when blur took off but before she could really react they were already at the next town and her mind was already distracted with that. Laura wasnt familiar with populated towns but she was quite sure they weren't supposed to house tall shadowy people. She didn't understand they smelt like normal people. Immediately she tensed ready to fight but after a few moments, Laura realized they were just standing there not noticing the two kids, almost motionless if not for the gentle swaying of long arms.

A a confused glance towards blur as she relaxed said What is going on? before she took the tall shadow people in more detail. They stood everywhere in the small town swaying long arms, their entire body seemingly made from an endless void except for two lard round eyes. They were unsettling at best and maybe even disturbing at worst, they made Laura feel uneasy. They smelt like people so did they used to be? If they did who did this to them? She didn't realize she was using her strong sense to listen and an explosion from the direction of the first town made a frown appear on her face.

What kind of world had she walked into.

William thought about it, the idea of splitting up. The other girl was right some heroes might not mix and from what he was seeing now this was all pure chaos. At the very least they would need to set up a chain of command, which Willam would NOT be a part of. He didn't have to worry about who would be in command it was clear that Jaybird would be one of them, he was good at leading stuff. Looking over at the other hero he noticed Jaybird motion for him to come back. " It looks like everyone is trying to leave, We should probably go help pack up." he picked up his duffle bag and backpack motioning for the girls to follow if they wanted. This wasnt really any time to be worrying about the Heroes chain of command they could do that somewhere safer.

William watched as the suit of armor dropped one of the first heroes he had seen in that group of female heroes, spider-girl was her name? she looked pretty hurt and he began to worry about what she had fought to get that banged up. Resisting the urge to help he walked over to Jaybird with a confused and worried look. "What's going on everyone looks to be in a rush-" He was cut off as a ball of flame flew past them to the nearby truck. The sound of the explosion reminded him of a painful memory. She shook the thought off and spun around to see the Iron-maiden girl confronted by someone who looked to be the cause of the fire. Their first villain had just arrived.

Firebug /// Villain /// ??? /// Tags; Burned town /// Feeling; ready to fight.

Firebug decided it was time when a beat-up girl was dropped next to of the other heroes. someone was fighting the heroes in his town. He childishly wanted to throw a tantrum but remained silent as usual simply lighting a fire to the ooze next to him. He had twenty minutes to defeat his opponent before the ooze did it for him. This time he would show the warden he didn't need the stupid ooze. Seeing the truck his opponents were pointing at he almost wanted to grin in anticipation.
A huge fireball was cast from his hand onto the offending truck making a beautiful explosion. After a few seconds to let it soak in, he stepped from his shadows letting his flames dance off him and making the small flames that burned around the city rise into raging fires. He set his targets on the girl in front of him, she had just sent her suit away and was vulnerable. Let the games begin.

Christie nodded attentively when William mentioned everybody leaving, just to indicate to him that she was still on board. He seemed almost nervous, but she wouldn't hold that against him, as she was probably far more anxious herself, despite how thoroughly she was trying to hide it. When the younger hero picked up his things and started off back towards his friends, Christine didn't hesitate to follow. Holly would come along, whether she wanted to or not; she was far too protective of her sheltered charge to let her run off to a big group of strangers without following. Christie felt guilty, knowing that Holly didn't want to join up with such a large cluster of people, but she was too scared of being alone not to take the opportunity. She tried to give the strangers a friendly smile, though she wasn't sure how to introduce herself to such a large, seemingly unorganized mass of people. As it happened, she didn't get a chance; she was about to apologize to Holly, who she heard coming up next to her, when out of seemingly nowhere a bolt of fire hurtled by them in a blur and struck a vehicle Christie hadn't had a chance to see, spawning a loud and dangerously close explosion. Christie saw the shape of their villainous threat emerge from the shadows easily before her sister did and immediately pulled the staff off her back, taking it in both hands and sidling up so that she was back-to-back with Holly. Despite the obvious threat, Christie stayed still. She'd been told before not to attack anyone immediately lest she accidentally strike a civilian (which could happen for any number of reasons). In this case, she was pretty sure this small masked creature was not a bystander by any stretch of the imagination, but she still stayed still. Holly or someone else would lead the attack with a strategy in mind, which was better than anyone striking at the threat without thinking.

When William motioned for the two of them to follow him, Holly spent a moment in indecision, her instincts conflicting with what her surroundings were urging her to do. Christie looked at her with those wide blue doe eyes, silently begging her to follow, before she darted off after William. The younger girl knew, of course, that Holly would follow her no matter what, and was undoubtedly exploiting that fact. However, now wasn't the time to get upset with her; they could talk about that later (or, more realistically, never) when there was nothing so pressing on their hands. And, little did she know, things were about to get much more pressing. She kept a little distance between herself and the other people in this large congregation, trailing Christie but making no attempt to really involve herself with them. However, within a moment, she saw the orb of fire streak through the air and hit the broken-down truck, alighting it into an explosion within seconds. Holly jumped in the opposite direction, her senses immediately kicked into overdrive by the suddenness of this threat, and she would've all but grabbed Christie if she hadn't felt the girl get into position behind her before she even had the chance to react herself. Holly snatched the wings off her back, the long, slim attachments coming free in an instant and now resting against her arms, robust straps still connecting them to the back of her dress. It wasn't a perfect solution, but had worked for her thus far. She stood still, eyes trained on the figure that had just emerged from the shadows, ready to leap into action if need be but not wanting to set off everyone around her. They could very well all have been the super-powered type, so there was no telling what kinds of weird weapons or energy beams would start flying as soon as this turned into a real fight.

Her instinct was to start barking instructions; Christie would know what to do well enough but still sometimes froze up in desperate situations, so guidance would help her, not to mention she was more confident when working alongside others. But what was Holly to do? Just start ordering people around like she owned the place? Lord knows whose toes she'd be stepping on if she did that. Uneasily eyeing the others to see how they were reacting, Holly suggested, "Everyone be careful, we've got no guarantee that there's only one." That was innocuous enough of a command that anyone who would've felt their authority threatened by it wasn't too likely to shut her down. Then, noticing that the flying robo-suit (which was so cool Holly still wanted to start firing off questions even though they were being attacked by a villain) had brought back someone who was definitely hurt, and without even thinking Holly started instructing them again. "Surround the injured. Don't try to move her yet; we don't know what this guy is capable of, and you might just put her in more danger."

The strange entity seemed to realize that it was outmatched at least somewhat, and Ash was finally willing to take his eyes off of it. The flying...robot? suit of armor? took Emma away, though as no-one else seemed upset by that Ash was under the assumption that it belonged to someone they knew or was otherwise a good thing. He flapped his wings restlessly, a mild threat towards the symbiote hybrid if she tried to rush anyone, but if she had any sense of self-preservation about her, she would be retreating to lick her wounds any time now. However, his focus was quickly torn away from Mayhem's next plan of action by the sound of the truck exploding. Ash's face fell and he glanced back towards Lea and the others who had sprung into action. "So...everyone else saw that too, right?" He said haltingly. "I mean, personally, I'm non-flammable, but I've got a feeling I'm an outlier in that regard." He continued jokingly. Ash knew very well that his sense of humor wasn't necessarily tasteful, or always welcomed by other people, but it was just sort of natural for him, and in a particularly difficult situation like this one, could at least possibly diffuse the tension hanging heavily the air. It wasn't that he wasn't taking this seriously - though, as he'd mentioned, he wasn't hurt by fire and thus wasn't afraid of it. He had no knowledge of the potentially toxic ooze lurking around here, which may very well have still harmed him despite his unearthly resistances; what he was more worried about was getting the non-fireproof people out of here before the flames or smoke inhalation killed or seriously hurt them. Since it looked like this place had already been hit by fire, he figured there might be less flammable material around, thus making it harder for the fire to gain traction, but he knew all too well that flames could spread way faster than one would imagine in urban environments.

Cyrus had been staring at the wall of his cell for a long time now, ever since he had woken up which was around when the doors had opened. He had been sitting there gathering up all his strength to stand up. Where had all his strength gone? Well the thick metal bands that wrapped around his ankles, wrists and neck had trace amounts of kryptonite laced through out them causing his weakness. In order to further the effect small spikes on the inside of these bands dug into his skin causing small trickles of blood and a direct line from the kryponite bands to his own vulnerable insides. With a small sigh he pushed himself to his feet whilst forcing himself to walk normally. Luckily whomever had taken him hadn't removed his 'hero' suit so while the bands where noticeable it wasn't as noticeable that they were causing damage. The trickles of blood where all but hidden under his suit. Stepping outside of his cell he noticed right off the bat that there were several heroes that he vaguely knew of and a large group that he hadn't ever seen. Moving silently he shifted through the crowd to join Green Arrow and Canary. While he didn't personally know them he had seen them before and heard of them from Dick. He wasn't entirely sure if they knew who he was but he figured he should stick with those he at least slightly knew.

At the sound of the wardens voice she shifted ever so slightly to see the large screen that had popped up out of nowhere. On the screen was and image of a courtyard that was burning and from what she could make out several sidekicks where there. As she focused on the younger heroes she managed to make out a certain black and red hero who went by the name Redwing. Where Redwing was her son was usually not too far away especially in situations like this. So although she couldn't spot her son she knew he was there in the thick of it. Unlike the other prisoners she didn't seem to put off by it, if anyone could get the other heroes out of that city she was confident that her son and Jason could do it.

Jason had started to move towards the truck moving just a little bit faster then Iron Maiden, mostly because he hadn't stuck around to make sure that the spider kid was okay. Why? He didn't know her and he assumed that the face of a stranger would be less reassuring then the face of a friend. At the sound of fire he glanced back and then jerked to the side as a ball of fire was flung past him missing him by inches and collided with the truck he had just been walking towards. As his gaze followed the ball of fire he watched as their first plan of escape went up in a loud explosion. Slowly turning to face the direction that the ball of fire came from he spotted a strange humanoid creature, it seemed to be human but he couldn't really tell. The red jumpsuit concealed a lot of their figure and the mask completely covered their face. Opening his mouth to say something he was cut off when one of the girls who just joined them ordered everyone to be careful and was then commanded them to surround the injured. "I object, we learned that the ooze once lit on fire is extremely toxic to breath in, so as Iron-Maiden just said we have twenty minutes to escape this town before we are all taken out. I think the best course of action would be to select two or three people who can hold of this guy long enough for everyone to escape. I volunteer myself. Iron-Maiden can your suit regulate your air intake? If so I think you should guide the others to safety. If I fall then you would still have time to get everyone out" he said in both a suggesting kind of way and in a way that implied that he was a leader in his own right. He didn't want to step on this other girls toes but given that he knew more about the situation that she did he knew he had to speak up.

Glenn came to a skittering halt inside the strange town that they had just arrived in. The first thing he noticed where the tall shadowy people that where everywhere. Eyes widening behind his mask he swiveled on his heels staring wide eyed at the creatures around him. In his small life time he hadn't ever seen anything so weird and strange and his father hadn't ever told him about something like this before. Slowly he stopped moving and focused on Laura who seemed to be equally as confused by this who situation. Tilting his head slightly he eyed her with some confusion over the frown that suddenly appeared on her face. It was almost like she had sensed something she didn't like but he hadn't heard or seen or smelled anything that was off. Glancing around worriedly he tried to pinpoint whatever was making her frown. When he found nothing he inched closer to her, close enough to whisper in her ear while still far enough away that he wasn't crowding her too much. "Whats going on? Did you sense something cause your frowning and that doesn't usually mean anything good" he questioned softly like he assumed those strange beings might hear him and come to life. Not that he assumed they were dead but it seemed like they were all in a trance and he didn't really want to see what it was like when they came out of that trance.
