"Sorry, Kiah," Cavan said, "that's like telling us to stop being wolves, it's who we are, but I'll attempt to slow it down while you're around." He grinned.

Kiah laughed, but it was fake. Her eyes were wide and she was staring at the wall. Her shadow moved closer to her. You okay? It asked, worried about her. Eztli can hear you. Kiah thought back, but nodded to show she was alright..ish.

Cavan watched her for a moment and was about to say something but stopped when Eztli tossed the brown bag in his lap. He froze, staring at it like it was about to explode or attack him then dug into it, sticking his face in the bag, "Holy crap, I love my mother."
"Serial Stew," Eztli said then winked at Kiah, "both of those words started with an 's'."

[tweek;]

Kiah blinked, then nodded. "They sure did, Eztli. Like 'Shadow' or 'Psycho'. Well, psycho doesn't but it sounds like it does. Ahahahaha." She rambled, giggling nervously at the end. Her shadow laughed at her, making her narrow her eyes.

Eztli laughed as Cavan got to his feet. "Food time," he grinned offering his hand to help Kiah to hers.

Kiah smiled and grabbed his hand, letting him pull her up. She squished herself to his side and hid her face behind her hair. "Yep, good idea. Great idea. I'm starving. Let's go. Now." She rambled again, starting towards the lunch room quickly.

"What's wrong?" he asked as he picked up the trash can and pushed it back over to the wall then started walking again towards the cafeteria.

Kiah blinked. "Nothing, why would anything be wrong?" She said, giggling nervously again. She facepalmed and continued to walk.
