      █████ ━━ ‘ LEE SUHO ━﹙♜﹚.
━━━ ` school; durmstrangx `location; hogwarts great hallx `tagged; open, mentions ambrosia
indentsuho was in an unbelievably horrible mood. not even the pinch of satisfaction at the hogwarts students' open-mouthed reactions to their imposing arrival from the black lake could placate him. throughout the entire journey, he could be described as prickly, others would say perfectly ordinary (for let's face it, the durmstrangs weren't ever known as the cheeriest of the bunch), yet it soon became painfully evident that something was wrong to his closest friends.
indenthis parents wanted him to come home.
indentto hell with it! the boy had thought sourly, chucking the letter right over his cat's head into the fireplace. the messenger owl fixed him with an accusing stare. he had felt as if it were channeling his mother's disapproving spirit: "i'm watching you, boy." well, suho could hardly care less. he was boarding the spanish galleon bound for hogwarts in one way or another, and it would take only one of the lee family's finest kidnapping ploys to extract him forcefully from the ship... even then he was uncannily wily. at times, he wondered if his father ever regretted having raised a son who resembled himself so.
indentwhich was why suho was, to say the least, surprised, when the entire journey flew by in a blink of an eye without something spectacularly tragic falling upon him. he trooped out of the ship in a significantly better mood than he had been previously, a thick-furred coat that was typical of durmstrang flung over his shoulders, lingering at the back of the group so he could take in the sprawling grounds of hogwarts much more slowly. there wasn't much in this world that could truly impress him — in fact, in his eyes, durmstrang's architecture would always be number one — yet he had to admit there was something strangely charming in the moss-covered stones and simple spiral towers of this british wizarding school.
indentthe first thing that registered with him was the multitude of eyes trained upon the durmstrang delegation. certainly, the sight of such a militaristic looking bunch only fueled awe and intimidation, and he in all honesty was only too pleased to entertain that. slim and tall, despite the considerable bulk of their garb suho somehow managed to still look lean, the hem of his cloak brushing against his ankles. one might say their attire was merely an exaggeration in this weather... but if anything, durmstrang had always been fixated on structure. even the way they stomped down from the ship towards the castle had a sort of silent rhythm to it, as if marching to war. he caught the semi-petrified eyes of what looked like a young fourth year girl and gave her a mirthless (but admittedly slightly sultry) smirk. she turned pink and hastily glanced away.
        indentha.
indentshrugging it away, suho soon found himself falling in step next to ambrosia dragavei, his fellow classmate. if one were to scrutinise their faces, both their expressions would have been identical (almost comically so), albeit suho's would have been a milder depiction of durmstrang attitude. neither of them said anything as the durmstrang party trudged across the lawn to the grand entrance, where the hogwarts students were now being rushed back into the school building. feigning disinterest, suho inspected his sleeve and nonchalantly slid his gaze to the set of imposing double doors.
        indentso this is hogwarts.
indentsuho was certain he wasn't the only one feeling out of place, yet there was hardly time to second-guess his life decisions — the students in front of him were already beginning to move. he went along smoothly, effortlessly assimilating into their numbers.
indentit wasn't until they faced another set of doors did suho first pick up the faint rumble of chatter, of hundreds and hundreds of students, just behind several inches of wood.

lilith laughed quietly as they sat in their carriages, the wingbeats of the abraxans ringing through the air. she was lost in thought as they traveled, her parents had made her come to hogwarts, hoping by chance she would be chosen as a champion, really she had no interest in the tournament, it would be fun to watch, but she didn't want to spend her days at hogwarts, with not one but two other schools working. suddenly her thoughts shifted into a more bittersweet memory, her first carriage ride, with a soft laugh she remembered how she had been sick to her stomach until she had looked out the window, from there it was only wonder and amazement. she smiled sweetly at her companions as they made small talk, mostly gossiping about the different schools, wondering what they'd be like. she had joked that they wouldn't be much to look at, or talk with. it earned a couple of laughs from the girls before she peered out the window. "we're getting closer!" she said excitedly as she peered out the window, a large castle coming into sight, that must be hogwarts, and as it came into view she could see a large ship emerge from the lake. her nose wrinkled in disgust at the thought, gross. nothing could beat their carriages, that was for sure. she'd take this over a train or a ship any day. as the carriage landed softly, she heard gasps of excitement, and she grinned. her and her classmates filed out of the carriage rather quickly. she gazed up at the castle, she was hoping for a bit more decoration. she shared her thoughts to one of the girls near her and the two began whispering back and forth as they headed into the castle. she looked up at the walls, expecting something to happen to them. it all seemed so plain and old. well, to each their own, she supposed. she heard multiple whispers coming from her fellow students as they approached two great wooden doors. looking to the other side of the hall she noticed the dumstrang students in a neat, almost perfect formation. they weren't kidding when they said they looked and acted like military. she silently wondered if they were like that all the time. she stood taller and more composed, as they were supposed to, proper and dainty. she looked beside her to a younger girl and she smiled softly, fixing her hat before looking forward and secretly stealing a glance at the other school, they looked like fun. as the schools became quiet, she became fixated onto the two wooden doors, quiet chatter was heard through them, belonging to the hundreds of students hogwarts housed. she was eager to get on with their little show so she could see for herself if the hogwarts students were like their gossip. maybe they wouldn't be as bad as she assumed.

atticus groaned as the constant chatter of the first years rung through his cabin. luckily, he had gotten a cabin to himself, unluckily it was right next to a group of loud first years who would yell and scream at the slightest inconvenience. he found himself getting a small headache from the noise, and he even peeked his head into the cabin to ask them to "politely shut up". it had worked long enough for him to fall asleep, though even in his short nap he could hear them talking. he woke up a little ways before hogwarts, so he had just enough time to dress and regain himself before entering the great hall. pinched his nose slightly he found his headache to be mostly gone, thank heavens. his parents were very pleased to hear about the announcement that beauxbatons and dumstrang would be returning to hogwarts for the triwizard tournament. he was excited too, but his parents eagerly suggested he should enter. the idea had excited him, but he wasn't sure if he actually had wanted to do it. he was snapped out of his thoughts by the sound of the train stopping, from there it was the routine he'd gotten used to before he entered the castle. everyone settled down at their respective tables as the first years lined up for the sorting. they had a fair share this year. as the sorting was finished he heard his housemates talking about the abraxan-drawn carriages, and the ship that had emerged from the black lake. both beauxbatons and dumstrang were unique in their own way, but they didn't have houses, it was a single school. he knew more about beauxbatons then he did dumstrang, his mother had gone there a couple of times as she had adored france and its wonders. she had brought his eldest sister along, and she had done two years at beauxbatons before returning to hogwarts. he guessed it wasn't that ideal since his sister didn't finish school there. dumstrang was widely known for their military-esque. how intimidating they looked in their burly coats with their staffs. he found himself more focused on the gossip then the actual feast. he chatted for awhile before looking back at the two doors, he assumed beauxbatons and dumstrang were just behind waiting to make their grand entrance. it wasn't long before the chatter shifted into one about the triwizard tournament, wondering about how dumstrang and beauxbatons were taught and if they were as 'advanced as hogwarts'. he guessed if they weren't equal they were better. especially dumstrang, that quite unsettled him. of course most comments were about how hogwarts was definitely going to win, and of hope that they'd be picked. hopefully their champion was a worthy one, though he thought most students who entered had to be confident in their abilities, for if they lost it would mean having the whole school blame them. that was something he was sure no one wanted.
