- As Lemres agreed to his proposition, Claude gave a small nod of his head before beginning to move towards the shelves once again. "If you find anything interesting just call me over," he said as he began his work. Returning to what he had been doing all along, the archer once again ran his finger along the spines of the books he passed by, quietly studying the names written on them. At the rate he was going this was still going to take quite a bit of time. He supposed here time wasn't much of an issue, but he couldn't help wondering how much time was passing back home. Was it the same rate or was it slowed down? It was impossible to say unless he found that answer somewhere buried in this place as well. Part of him wished he could simply ask the one that had brought them here, but he doubted that such a thing would be possible even if he had good intentions. For all he knew, Master A might completely understand how each and every single one of them acted. That would mean he might expected some kind of scheme out of him if he did attempt to speak with him. In all honesty that was exactly what he would try to pull. If anything he always could pull off something sneaky when others were least expecting it. It was his specialty and Byleth had only enhanced that by taking his plans and tactics and commanding the others as she saw fit within them. They really had made an incredible duo thus far. Shaking the thought off, he forced his focus back onto the books. At the moment he couldn't afford to let himself drift off into such thoughts otherwise he would lose his focus on what was important. Still it left him with many more questions than he previously had. That only meant he needed to find books to cover those topics too. It was a hard task, but he was willing to try and find answers to as many questions as he could. Realizing that his search had taken him into what he suspected was the fiction section, the noble strayed away to begin searching the next set of shelves in hopes of finding something more useful.
While he searched Claude had little idea that he was being watched. Usually he was more than aware of such things but this time it wasn't something he was paying all too much attention to. Maybe it was because he had no worries at the moment or maybe he simply didn't suspect anyone to be watching him all too closely. It wasn't as if any of the other students were around to be worried about his usual antics. He had no reason to be under suspicion in this place thus felt no need to worry about anyone planning to do anything to him. His search soon came to a stop as he heard Lemres's voice break the silence that hung over the library. Turning his head over his shoulder, he gave a small quirk of his brow as the words of the other registered with him. Of all things he expected, he hadn't put too much thought into the possibility of the books before written in other languages. It was possible that he might not even be able to read any of it. Even the languages that the wizard spoke of weren't ones he was familiar with, but given that they weren't having difficulty speaking, he could only assume that one of the languages he knew was similar enough to his own. What an odd thing to think about. Not that it mattered all too much. Brushing the thought off, he pulled himself away from the shelf he had stopped at and approached Lemres. "Let's see if I have any luck with it," he stated. Looking over the other male's shoulder, his eyes scanned over the page of the book and confusion was quick to cross his face. Despite being knowledgeable of two languages himself, the one written in the book was entirely foreign to him as well. That was problematic. Pulling back, Claude scratched at his cheek as worry began to settle in. What if every book was written in the same language? "I sure hope the others aren't written in that language as well." To him it was odd that the text within was different than what was written on the books spine. Everything he had grabbed had been things he understood. Perhaps it was a trap that Master A had set up.
Wrinkling his nose, the noble reached for one of the other books and flipped it open. Unlike the previous one, everything was normal in this one, but with a quick skim over the page the information seemed useless in regards to what they were searching for. That left him to wonder if his previous thought was right. Maybe they had been given answers, but they would be in a language that none of them would understand. What a pain that would be. "I think that book you have has important information. We should try and find someone who can decipher what it says."
