She had expected the question of her name as soon as she had asked Maki's. "Maki? Oh, nice to meet you. I am Ami. Ami Mizuno." At the suggestion that they should keep on the move, she scratched the back of her neck, looking a bit apprehensive. Also, when the girl started walking, it stressed her out a bit, giving her the false message that she would be time pressed for a decision. As the girl stopped walking, though she had time to think, and breathe. She didn't yet trust this girl, but if she wanted Ami dead, she'd already be dead, wouldn't she? Either that, or she'd be like a mean cat that messed with it's prey. In a place like this, though, what would be the point of that? Nothing. Ami sighed, thinking to herself. In the worst case scenario she could transform, defend herself, and run off. And that only if she was attacked. This person surely had the chance of having other issues. She decided that she would stick with this person, for now at least. "I. . yes, I agree. May I?" She interwove her hands together as she held them, awaiting an answer. "Join you, that is."

Kirimegami and Kohaku
female :: deity :: current form - human :: ~~ Rei ::: male :: deity :: current form - hornet > Human :: ~~ Rei

Knowing Kohaku as she did, the fact that anyone might actually be scared of him as this kitsune clearly was amused Kiri. Haku, however, viewed it a bit differently. Everyone he tended to interact with was used to him at this point -- from Akiko's family back in Japan to almost the entirety of Hinansho. He forgot sometimes, how intimidating this form could be to others. He shifted slightly on her head before actually taking off from it -- slipping from the form as he touched the ground behind Kiri instead. What he was doing might almost be considered 'hiding behind her' were it not for the fact that he had a good few inches on his companion. As it was, he just felt bad for scaring the poor fox.

"Rei-chan it is," it was clear that Kiri wasn't phased by how Kohaku was acting, "my name is Kiri and you know Kohaku's. We're..." she trailed off with a thoughtful hum. Should she really just throw around what they were that casually? She knew her experiences skewed her views a bit on that matter. Hiding things won't do much in this situation, Haku reasoned in her head, better to get everything out of the way now. Fair enough, sound logic. "We're the patrons deities of a small town called Hinansho, so you can imagine our confusion at finding ourselves suspiciously not in that town." They'd manage without them she was sure, though Haku would still worry, but that didn't mean she liked being away for any extended period of time. Vacations were one thing, being stranded in a different world was an entirely different beast. "Which, I bet, also answers the question of why Haku is Like That, isn't that right little bee?"

It's not as if I chose that form, pup, he retorted, a little defensive. He really didn't like legitimately scaring people, and it hadn't happened since he'd first joined Kiri after Akiko had moved to the town. Unlike her, he didn't take trips to bother Yori. You gotta use your voice if you don't want the poor fox to be horribly confused little bee, the reminder was needed, but certainly not welcome. Haku shifted awkwardly before actually speaking, "I apologize for concerning you, it's never my intention to regardless of what the pup may imply." Kiri seemed rather pleased that she'd actually gotten him to speak, but took every immediately after anyway.

"Gotta say, I've never seen anything quite like what you can do. And I've seen a whole lot of things." 'Celestial Brush', huh? Interesting. "You're more than welcome to tag along, the more the merrier after all. And since it's only fair -- as my name might imply, I have a tie to fog and can command it at will. Haku can create barriers, usually." There was an indignant noise behind her and she snorted softly. He hadn't actually failed to create one in a while. She was still going to tease him though, it was practically her job at this point. "He's a bit awkward around people, if that wasn't clear--" I hate you "--so don't be surprised if I do most of the talking. If there's one thing I'm good at, it's running my mouth."

indentThe green-haired girl walked down the streets aimlessly, trying to hear the sounds of any human company anywhere nearby. It seemed so desolate, so quiet and although normally she wasn't bothered by silence, this form of dead silence was... disturbing, to say the least. She guessed the author of the note, this X person, hadn't lied. Their planet really was dying. Then how were they able to contact her or get her to this location in the first place. She couldn't remember anything past saying goodnight to Lelouch and walking out of the base to take a stroll through the night and it irked her that whatever memories fit between that and arriving here were missing. The girl let out a deep sigh to clear her thoughts before she continued to walk, trying to assure herself that everything would be fine. Normally C.C was known for her calm exterior and her ability to handle situations effortlessly and smoothly, however, when things didn't go her way, well, that was another story. The girl's hands balled into fists at her side as she wandered, counting her steps to distract her mind from going off on some useless tangent that would bring her no closer to a solution. For now, all she could do was observe and think about her next step. With no contact to others, for all she knew, she was alone and finding her way out would be an impossible solo mission, one problem she just couldn't solve. C.C shook her head violently to dizzy herself and cause negative thoughts to leave and continued forward into the unknown land.
indentEventually, the girl became a bit discouraged by her futile exploration and paused in front of a run-down house to think about a new plan of action. She raised a hand to her lip in thought before she began hearing a voice in the distance and narrowed her eyes in the general direction of the sound. Her body tensed instinctively as she reached for the handgun at her waist, her heartbeat quickening as the steps and noise approached her. Although she had been looking for someone for so long, actually finding another life form was frightening. What if they weren't on her side? What if they were there to kill her? These familiar thoughts she had imagined she would never have to think again after joining the Black Rebellion arose once more in her mind as she pulled the gun out, watching the figure come further into view. Her golden gaze looked the figure up and down in curiosity. She had never seen anyone like him but at least, from the tone of his voice and casual actions, she assumed he meant no harm. C.C quickly dropped the handgun back into its holster before finally making eye contact with the man. "No, I'm not from here and I assume you aren't either. From what I can tell, there's no one here but us at the moment." She stated calmly, twirling a piece of lime hair between her fingers. "So, from your mention of "X", I assume you also woke up in a house, found a letter written by him and are now looking for a way home?" C.C continued to eye the man for any sense of danger, taking in any potential weapons he held along with how challenging it would be to either outrun or defeat him if he were to turn hostile. Though she doubted he would from first impressions, she always had to be wary.

    ▬ ❝ casia quintillian !
      19 // female // D&D (oc) // tagged; forgotten & soul

The way the small, bony figure thumped the ground with its club when she taunted it would've indicated that it had, perhaps, understood her - though, for that immediate moment, Casia passed it off as merely being a coincidence, or if not that, then merely a passive ability to recognize speech that didn't necessarily include true comprehension. She was startled, however, at her first glimpse of the Soul - it was something she certainly hadn't been expecting; she would've classified that entity as a ghost, yet it was attached, somehow, to the skeleton, in such a way that it could disappear just about entirely within it. But, yet again, that train of thought was cut off by the urgency of the situation. She was being charged - which wasn't ideally how she took on a fight, but since she'd allowed herself to be totally surprised, she didn't have much of that luxury. Casia spread her stance and raised one of her arms, acting as though she was going to stand her ground, when really she intended to throw her weight to the side at precisely the last moment she could, darting in with her daggers and slashing at the vertebrae or knocking the hilt against the skull. Ready to do so at a moment's notice, it wasn't odd at all that, when the skeletal being stopped abruptly, Casia's whole body suddenly lurched as though flinching. She'd been a bit too ready, it seemed. Being nervous was making her sloppy, and again she chided herself. Effective combat was about precision, and she needed to be precise in order to go up against those more physically competent than her. Not that a skeleton was normally that physically competent, but the thought still stood. However, the skeleton then lowered its weapon - but didn't relinquish it - and made a gesture roughly equivalent to a wave. Was it hailing something behind her? She turned her head for a split second to see if she could glimpse anything closing in from behind, then promptly returned her gaze to the skeleton she'd already seen, just in case it was trying to trick her into letting her guard down.

The spectre had once again emerged from its refuge hiding within the skeleton, causing the latter to fall apparently inert. Interesting - that made sense, in a way, but Casia still couldn't tell quite how it worked from her perspective. She'd never seen a soul that was able to extract itself from its host like that before - much less stay bound to said host even when separate from it - so it must've been animated by some uniquely powerful necromancy. The floating being apologized in a pleading, pitiful voice, tears slowly streaming down what appeared to be its face; so, it was a sad and forlorn type of spirit (at least from a rudimentary assessment), which was better than the vengeful and malicious sort, if nothing else. But Casia wasn't sure she trusted it. After all, why assume honor among undead? This strange entity could easily be trying to trick her into letting her guard down in order to promptly attack her again. It mentioned being 'used to dying', which implied it had been killed and then revived multiple times. A bit cruel, it seemed, but necromancers were seldom known for their caring and empathy. "Oh, don't worry, I'm sure it's only minor head trauma." Casia scoffed, not knowing or really caring if it could read the sarcasm in her voice. She relaxed her stance somewhat, but continued to eye the Soul and the Forgotten suspiciously. If they didn't want to kill her, then any ally was a good ally for the moment, but that was still a pretty big 'if' in her mind. "You said you don't know anything about this place either?" She mused, mostly thinking out loud. That would've meant it wasn't one of the 'monsters' mentioned by her mysterious captor, but again, that hinged on this entity telling the truth. "Hmm...well then, who do you serve?" Maybe it didn't serve anyone, and maybe it would just lie outright.

Malour watched as Ryuji seemed to be losing hope, and when he asked about an antidote, she cringed internally. “What do I do? There’s probably no antidote. I don’t think anyone even lives here, besides us who got drawn into this.” However, she didn’t voice this, not wanting Ryuji to be drawn into even bleaker of a state than before. Her own mind was racing, desperately trying to think of a solution. There were very little options, and very little hope. No matter what she thought of, the only thing that everything came back to was the need for an antidote. She could try to slow the spreading of the poison, but that would only go so far.

As Ryuji lashed out at her, Malour felt herself go into a defensive mode. “Where did that come from?” She thought, trying to keep from yelling back. Then, he was suddenly apologizing, and he seemed to be genuinely sorry. “No different than me. I guess I can’t be mad at him.” She sighed softly, and responded, “It’s alright, you’re probably pretty stressed by all this.”

She glanced down at his arm, which seemed to be in pretty bad shape. She listened to what he had to say about leaving him there, and this caused her to re-think what she had planned. Maybe it was a bad idea to leave him behind. “I wouldn’t want to die alone, and if I leave and he dies, he’ll be alone.” Malour was torn between what to do. Either way his chance of survival was low. It would just come down to whether or not he wanted to be alone.

As Ryuji laid down on a nearby rock, Malour tried to remember everything she could have possibly been taught about what to do in these situations. She sat down next to the rock, and said in the calmest voice she could muster, “Alright, try to stay calm and don’t move. I don’t want you to even think about dying, got it? I’m sorry I had to bring it up earlier. But I’m not going to let that happen, alright?”

With that out of the way, she stood and looked around. There were several buildings that looked like there would be no-one inside, because they were dilapidated, or some even caved-in. Those she ignored, and her eyes travel to others that were still run-down, but in slightly better shape. “I wonder if there is anyone in those buildings. It’s worth checking out, anyways. But I have to make sure he won’t move…..” She glanced down at Ryuji, who was asking if he would really die.

“Alright, I’m going to check some of these buildings and see if there is anyone that might be able to help. But before I do that, I need to make sure that you won’t move.” Malour pointed towards his arm, and said, “I want you to keep that as still as possible. And don’t panic. Think of whatever you have to think of that will keep you calm.”

Dr. Martin Avynn - 26 - SCP Foundation - Tags: Twenty and Archibald, Arthur Pendragon
───────────────────

Martin stopped in his tracks when the strange creature whined at him, though not long after it seemed he was right to assume Twenty had control over it, and it was safe to continue. He reached the group as Twenty and Archi traveled through the wall to another dimension, and stopped next to Arthur. Speaking of whom, Martin found it odd that he was standing next to someone who claimed to be King Arthur from the stories on Earth. Though to be fair, a king wielding a magic sword pulled from stone was completely normal compared to their current situation. At the very least he was glad this young swordsman wasn’t actively trying to kill him.

His thoughts were interrupted by the return of Twenty and her pet dimension-hopping demon flower. Speaking of which... He narrowed his eyes as he stared at the creature for a moment, recognizing an odd familiarity between it and a containment file he remembered reading back in his own dimension. Humanoid... strange skin... pass through solid matter... dimension-traversing... Oh no. Not good. Very much not good.

The freezing cold chill of primal terror descended upon Martin and settled below his heart as he realized what this creature reminded him of. The memory flooded his mind. Item Number: SCP-106, The Old Man. Object Class: Keter. He remembered the haunting image of the smiling, walking corpse as it appeared through the black ooze it left on any surface, the image of one of the lucky ones to die after being taken, and casualty report after casualty report after one of it’s terrifyingly frequent containment breaches. He could handle images that cause heart attacks, and sounds that cause your eyes to catch fire, but The Old Man instills fear unlike anything else. It’s so... for lack of a better term, wrong. It shouldn’t exist, and that’s why the Foundation locks it in a purposefully confusingly constructed box suspended in the air by electromagnets. It’s why so many Foundation personnel die with only their colleagues to know of their sacrifice in order to keep it contained. To protect humanity from terrors they can’t understand.

The two things that allowed him to recover were the lack of a similar ooze from the creature that stood before him, and Twenty’s control over it. These fundamental differences allowed him to push aside his terror and refocus, making a mental note to propose research into similar creatures when he returned home. Externally, his fear only manifested as widened eyes, a sharp gasp, and a step backwards. Though he recovered fairly quickly, clearing his throat and returning his expression to a stoic determination. “It would seem so. Seems our only option now is to follow what the letter said and find the exit, wherever it may be. Unless you want to try again?” He said, looking towards Twenty.

Female - eighteen - RWBY - tagged: --

Juno-Rose jolted awake suddenly to a sharp pain in her side, letting out a gasp. She sat up quickly, turning her head to peer down at her bed to see what she rolled onto before realising, she was not in her bed. Had she fallen onto the floor again? As her eyes adjusted to the dim light, she made out the familiar shape of a nail sticking out of the floor, along with a note and a map. Uneasiness ran through her body as she felt for the comforting shape of her fan blades, before standing up and reading the note to herself groggily. A scowl crept onto her face as she read it again, trying to make sense of it. This had to be some sort of cruel joke! "Really? This is so obviously fake!" Juno laughed aloud, crumpling the note and trying to mask her uncertainty, assuming she had just been moved and 'pranked' by some bored classmates. She shook her head and stepped towards the door, muttering insults to herseld. Pause. Her eyes widened it shock. Where.. was she?

Shing. Clash. Thud. Shing.

Calanfael leapt over the sword of an opponent, lashing out with his own weapon to stab another foe. At over a thousand years old, he was quite the skilled fighter, though he was rather young compared to the rest of the elves in his company. They were a team of warriors of Mirkwood who patrolled the darker reaches of the forest, seeking out and destroying camps of Orcs and spiders. Today was a day for orcs - the company had been tracking this group for the past week, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. The group was large, much larger than they had seen in a long time, and so each warrior had to be on top of his or her game if they were to defeat them all. Calanfael leapt and turned, slashed and jabbed, dodged and attacked. The excitement of battle coursed through his veins. Another orc snarled at him, and he snarled back, raising one of twin daggers.

A sudden burning pain erupted in his left leg, and he let out a gasp, eyes widening. An orc had landed a hit, slicing his calf with a poisoned weapon. The pain was nearly blinding, and his distraction cost him. The orc he was facing saw him falter and took advantage of the opportunity.

The elf fell to his knees, gasping, clutching his stomach where the orc had run him through. No no no. He couldn't breath, could barely think through the pain. Get up. Keep fighting. You have to. Get up!

But he couldn't. It was too late. The edges of his vision were beginning to blur, a haze taking over his mind. He could hear the roars of victory above him, the horrible shrieks of the orcs as they gathered around their prize. A fallen elf was a rare thing. Vaguely, he thought he heard someone yell his name. Thought he heard the battle cries of a dozen other elves. But it was too late. He was already beaten.

"Calanfael? Calanfael, look at me. It's gonna be ok, it's gonna be ok..."

His eyes drifted closed of their own accord. He struggled through another choking breath, and then let it out, the world fading away with the air.

---

When he opened his eyes again, he fully expected to be standing in the sun, the sound of the ocean behind him, as he was welcomed into Valinor. So, when he found himself in a dark house lying on an uncomfortable bed frame, he was very, very confused.

Calanfael blinked a few times, letting his eyes adjust to the darkness, and sat up. What in the...? rotting walls stared back at him, and a mouse scurried across the floor. The half-caved roof let in some light, but it was a sickly dull color, not the bright warmth of the sun. This... couldn't be Valinor. But if not Valinor, where was he? Had he survived, somehow, and been taken prisoner? His hand went to his stomach, but he found himself whole, not even a stain on his tunic.

Standing, Calanfael's eyes were drawn to his weapons resting against the corner of the room. Ok, definitely not a prisoner. Not even the most foolish Orc would leave weapons with an elf. He strode across the creaky floor, lifting his items and examining them, and then strapped them on. Turning towards the door to the room, he almost missed the note tacked to the wall. Pausing, he read it, and then frowned even deeper. What kind of wicked sorcery was this? And where was this world, and how was he supposed to get home? Sighing, he folded the note and tucked it into a pocket. It had warned of great dangers, so he was glad he had his weapons as he cautiously opened the door and stepped out into the strange world. It was as gloomy as the building he had woken in, everything broken down and overgrown. What horrible things happened here, to make the world like this? With a shiver, he realized this might be what his world ended up like if Sauron wasn't stopped.

Bow in one hand, Calanfael headed out into the streets. The letter indicated that there were others here. Perhaps it would be wise to find them.

      10kTag; Ogata

When Ogata admitted to not knowing what anti-materiel meant, 10k frowned thoughtfully but decided against questioning it, maybe he just wasn’t used to the same guns that 10k was. Sure, part of him assumed that his companion would know the terms used to describe the gun, but perhaps that was just expecting too much from a stranger. “It’s powerful enough to penetrate armour and barricades. AMRs were used against tanks in the wars.” He shrugged his shoulders, “Helps if I’m trying to kill someone inside somewhere.” 10k concluded with a brief nod of his head, while his explanation was kept relatively simple he believed that it was good enough for giving Ogata an idea of what it meant. He watched curiously as Ogata went into the rifle stance, allowing his gaze to roam across the length of the rifle. He was certain it was an older model than what he was used to seeing which made him eager to see it being used, he had no doubt that he would see that considering how dangerous the environment supposedly was. While not knowing what Ogata preferred, 10k knew that if it came to combat up close he would likely be fine with it, he had tussled with a large amount of zombies before now so he was confident in his skills in hand to hand combat. When it came to Ogata, though, there was no telling what the man’s skills were until it came to having to witness them in a fight. He liked to think that the stranger was capable enough, though, he wasn’t sure what it was about Ogata that made 10k assume he was going to be good in a fight but so far he hadn’t been wrong about someone before. He thought it best to keep those opinions to himself, though. Noticing that his new companion was hanging his legs and getting ready to jump down from their vantage spot, 10k did the same, hanging his legs over the edge then turning to look at Ogata when his plans were questioned. 10k hadn’t actually given his plan much thought other than finding the safe place that was mentioned in the letter he had woken up with. Frowning thoughtfully, 10k offered a shrug, “I’m going to head to wherever the safe place is. But first I’m going to look for supplies. Food and water. There should be something around in this city. If I’m lucky I might find some ammo too.” He paused and gave Ogata a questioning look, “What about you? What’s your plan?” He asked, tilting his head. He hoped that the both of them had similar plans and could team up to get to the safe zone that was mentioned, having company didn’t hurt, he found it easier to have somebody with him that he could potentially trust. Even if he couldn’t entirely trust Ogata just yet since they had only just met, he seemed like somebody that 10k would rather have on his side rather than be against him, although 10k knew enough people in his time that seemed nice enough at first but at ulterior motives. Hopefully it wouldn’t be a situation similar to that, though.

      K-VRCTag; Magetta

When the ground began to shake as the far larger being knelt down on one knee then completely crouched down moments after, K-VRC couldn't help but hesitate and stagger slightly. While he was sure that being buddy-buddy with such a huge person was a good idea because it meant he at least had some chance if he needed to be protected, he had to consider the fact that such a hulking being was going to draw quite a bit of attention with how large and noisy it was. Even if it did draw the attention of enemies, he was sure that he would be safe enough with such a hulking figure with him, they must be able to fight, right? Even if they weren’t used to it, K-VRC was sure they could figure out the basics: punch and kick and then you win especially at the size of the robot’s new companion. Gizmo crank. A confused emotion was displayed on the smaller robot’s monitor after hearing his newfound companion speak. “Er, right. Gizmo crank to you too.” He responded, unsure really what to make of the greeting. The next thing he knew, he had the piece of paper draped over his head and from what little he could see of it he realised it was the same map that he had booted up with. So that made it clear that this stranger was in the same boat as K-VRC was, metaphorically speaking anyway. Lifting up his arms, he attempted to grab the paper and pull it off but to no avail, struggling to even get his hands over his head, huffing, his ears twisted downwards as he listened to his companion. So, Magetta must have been their name, then? At least, that was what K-VRC was assuming until the map was removed from his head.

Hearing the introduction again confirmed that the other’s name was Magetta and it took a few moments for the baby monitor to realise that his larger companion was expecting to hear an introduction in return. “You can call me K-VRC.” He offered the introduction with a wide smile on his screen, his ear attachments stood completely upright. Instantly, he held out his hand for a handshake but a few seconds passed and he realised that perhaps it wasn’t a great idea, a handshake was probably going to be awkward for the two of them, so K-VRC dropped his arm again, chuckling softly to himself and averted his gaze to look at their surroundings, placing his hands on his hips. “What do you say, big guy? Want to go find the safe place the letter mentioned?” He turned to Magetta again, “They did give us a map to find it, after all.” The robot continued, shrugging his shoulders as he waited for a response.

Another student. It wasn't that surprising though it seemed that she too went to a special school much like she had done. That was something she found interesting. Then again special schools were probably a normal thing across the various worlds that had been drawn from or at least the ones with humans or ones that were basically human. "You attend a special school back home too, huh? Well I guess that makes two of us then," she chimed, showing a bit of the peppiness from before to keep with her act even though it disgusted her. Playing nice was much harder than she remembered it to be, but that was probably because it had been quite some time since she had to play such a role. During the killing game that side of her never had come out thus the last time she had used it had been while she was attending school with the others. Even back then she had to admit it had been a real pain to keep it up though she had enjoyed some of her time with the others as much as she hated to admit it. They had been an interesting bunch though they had it coming for them. They hadn't fallen to despair when the rest of the school had thus she had to make sure that had changed. "But your school definitely sounds way more intense than Hope's Peak Academy that I attended. Like totally badass sounding if you ask me." In a way hearing that the other was training to become a protector of her world made her annoyed. Of all people she had to pair up with it had to be someone like that. It was quite the opposite of what she was like and it bothered her greatly. She had joined her school in order to infiltrate it and bring despair to it. She didn't care much about her ultimate talent. No, she only wanted the world to burn beneath her feet. Still being the ultimate fashionista hadn't been the worst thing she had done in her life. It had been interesting at times although its despair levels were relatively low which was quite annoying.

"Hope's Peak, where I attend, is a school for ultimates like myself. Basically they scout out young talent and if you're considered the best at what you do, they'll probably invite you to join and all that jazz," Junko explained although it was a rather messy explanation. She didn't want to get into too much detail given that it was rather useless information. Still a casual conversation might play her off as someone trustworthy thus she had to play along with it for the time being. "Once you're in, you basically are expected to succeed in life. Places all over will take ultimate students, especially Hope's Peaks kids. You've pretty much made it once you're there. It's pretty amazing." Allowing a grin to cross her face, she could tell that her life was very different than Virona's. She was trying to avoid killing innocents while she was not. It truly was a horrible combination for her, but she liked a challenge that was for sure. Makoto had proven that much for her and he was still the only one that had avoided her grasp. It was a shame, but she had given it to him in the end. He had won. This place wouldn't be so lucky if she had a say in it though. "But anyways, your world totally sounds way more exciting than mine. We don't have anything like protectors where I come from unless you count the military."

Cocking his head at the other's remark of not being able to see much these days, Mitsuo began to wonder just what they meant by that. Was it possible they had bad eyesight? Most people he knew of had glasses to correct that though. Maybe their world didn't have such a luxury. It was hard for him to tell. Either way there was no point in pondering over it for too long. It would only hurt his head if he did that. As bright as he was, trying to overthink things in a place like this would do him no good. It was entirely possible that this world and even the others world didn't function anything like the one he came from thus things he knew might not apply to others. That was going to be difficult to avoid doing given that such a thing was a common practice. Anyone would assume that similar things from their own world might apply to others as well. Even so the feline pushed the thought aside and gave a small flick of his tail. Instead he decided he should focus on the question he had been asked. It was one that he wasn't entirely sure how to answer. Scratching at his cheek again, the cat let a soft meow escape his throat as he tried to think over how he should answer. All he had to go off was the letter, but that seemed redundant if the other had gotten such a thing too which he assumed was entirely possible. "I can't say I do," he admitted sheepishly. He wished her could be more useful than that, but given his lack of knowledge on the area it was the best he could muster. "I only just woke up here so I don't actually know what exactly this place is other than what I gathered from the note I received upon waking up." Taking a moment to fish into one of the pouches on his utility belt, Mitsuo pulled the letter out along with the map that it had been attached to. Unfolding them, he looked the letter over for a moment before flipping to the map. Staring at it, he couldn't make out where they even were in the current moment. There weren't any landmarks to do so.

"Based on what I have, I can't say exactly where we are in this place, but it sure is a dump," he huffed with a small shake of his head. He couldn't help but feel a bit discouraged. This place was in horrible shape and he didn't think there was much they could do to help it unless some kind of restoration quirk was around or someone had the magic to fix it. Both options seemed highly unlikely though it would spare the effort of trying to save this place, but at the same time it would be far too easy then. Giving a small shake of his head, the feline lowered the map away from his face and allowed his gaze to move back toward Storm. "Sorry that I can't be much help in that department. Doesn't help that I'm not from here either." Giving a small huff he began to fold the two sheets back up before tucking them back into the pouch he had taken them from. Crossing his arms over his chest once he was done, he let a soft sigh escape his mouth as he closed his eyes for a moment to compose himself. "But I guess if we're both in the same situation then it might be best to stick together, ya know? And if that's the case then an introduction is necessary," he purred, his expression brightening up as he spoke. "The name's Mitsuo! What about you?"
