Robby’s smilie disappeared when Milo mentioned the care home. Something must’ve seriously gone wrong. Was Milo’s power really that bad? he thought. “Yeah, I’m from Port Clinton... the opposite side of Cincinnati.” Robby chuckled lightly. They were so close yet so far in their past lives. The way Milo’s eyes trailed indoors every so often caused him to believe she wanted to leave soon. “Just my dad,” he answered simply, wanting to proceed in their task at hand. He turned his head towards the doors, “so did you want to escape or could I ask you to some pizza?” He looked back at her, realizing what he had just said. ‘Wow real smooth Robby.’

Olivia gave a bright smile. She knew that her outgoing personality would be at least respected by Aurelio. This made her feel more comfortable being open with him. At her old high school, Olivia was considered “popular” which gave her a reputation. So people had already concluded either their hate or love for her before even meeting her. It was nice to have a fresh start where people judged her based on what they saw in person. “I figured I didn’t have the right one,” she said, shifting her bags into one hand so she could fix her hair up a bit. She wished she’d come prepared with a map but then again, she wasn’t the best navigator without the GPS in her phone. Aurelio seemed like he had it down pat though, he already memorized the destinations.
“Aurelio?” Olivia echoed. The name was foreign to her so she knew she might forget. “I think I’ll call you Ari,” she stated as if naming a new pet. Olivia hoped the name wasn’t too feminine for him. She figured she could change it in the future if she found something better. The red head quickly trotted up beside Aurelio, the bags at her sides bouncing with each step. “I appreciate you taking me,” she bubbled with joy. Her hazel eyes watching him.

”Woah, I didn’t know pizza was in the bargain to stay here,” she laughed. ”I was just thinking that by the time I go in and start on paperwork, they’ll be closed for the day.” And honestly, the host and parasite were both excited at the idea of food, especially something that wasn’t comparable to prison food by the SHIELD kitchen staff. ”I can always try to escape tomorrow, I guess. But hey, thanks to you at least I know where to go now. Thank for your that, by the way. And for putting up with me being a Debbie downer.”

Things were looking up. Well, sort of. Hopefully. ...Maybe?

”What kind of pizza do you have in mind?” Her dark eyebrows shot up suddenly, eyes wide. ”Wait, no, answer this first: what’s your opinion of pineapple pizza?” Vital information like this had to be known — it was very much a life or death question. Milo fixed her new companion with an intent gaze, eager to hear something so trivial as his opinion of pizza toppings.

”I have weapons training, physical combat, and I believe mythology under my care,” he raised an eyebrow as a silent sort of question to the nameless girl, asking if she had considered any of those courses. ”Though, mythology is mostly correcting the inconsistencies of some Earth tales, I suppose.”

The small silences between them were an even mixture of stiff and comfortable for Thor. With how stressed he was lately, the reprieve of a simple conversation provided a means of escape. However, as he knew virtually nothing about the other party, he was unsure of what subjects to broach. It made for uneasy maneuvering of smalltalk, which he found himself disliking in general.

"Yeah? How advanced?" How in-depth was the training the students here would receive? The answer would help her gauge what level of threat her peers posed. Depending on how advanced Thor's classes would be, she would be able to deduce how skilled a person was in that particular area based on whether they were in his class. She wasn't surprised when Thor stated he was teaching hand to hand combat, as that seemed right up his alley, but she was a bit surprised to hear he was also teaching weapons. How much did he know about weapons besides mjolnir? That was the only weapon he seemed to use, at least as far as she knew. Wouldn't someone like Nat be better to teach a general weapons course?

She caught the questioning look, but didn't answer. She wasn't about to explain that Fury had selected her classes, or that he didn't think it was safe for her to be in a course that would involve sparring. To quote Fury, she took sparring "too seriously" and wasn't able to treat it like practice instead of life or death. He was worried she would hurt her peers or herself if she sparred with them.

The mythology course wasn't a surprise either, though it wasn't something that had come to mind when she tried to guess which classes he taught. "Well, humans can't even get their own history straight, so I'm not surprised the mythology is inaccurate," she commented.

Much to her surprise, the teen found herself feeling the slightest bit disappointed that she wasn't in any of Thor's classes. If Thor was a friend of Natasha, the odds of him being trustworthy were significantly higher than if he was just some regular person. Not that Skyler trusted him, it would take a lot more than one conversation and a good word from Nat to make her trust someone, but he wasn't on the threat list. It would have been beneficial for her to get on his good side, to have another Avenger as an ally. But without the consistency of seeing him for class, that probably wasn't going to happen.

Robby laughed as Milo’s mind immediately changed. Everybody likes pizza. “Like I said, you do the crime you serve the time... in this case, time involves as much pizza as you want.” He was glad that he got her to stay. Robby was starving anyways. He’d been busy since he left for New York this morning, not making time to eat. The thought of her leaving tomorrow put a strain over him. Maybe if she has fun today she’ll reconsider? Milo was the only new friend Robby had here. “We all have our days,” he referred to her mysterious sorrowful side- Milo’s past.

Robby rested his arm on the wall of the building for support as he laughed at Milo’s questioning. She seemed so inquisitive about such a simple food. Her eagerness was absolutely adorable. “Never had pineapple pizza,” he said as his laughter subsided. His father was pretty conservative when it came to food. Cheese pizza, regular cheeseburger, plain hot dogs, stuff like that. Robby didn’t mind though, at least he could have a ton of new experiences for the future.

A l f i n a S i f d o t t i r / T h e E k k o
Female / Asgardian / 156 (Looks 16) / Temporary Resurrection / Miranda Reyn

The charming smile provided by the girl was slightly comforting for Alfina, although she was still wary. She was fairly certain the newcomer didn't have bad intentions, but the way she quickly eyed Alfina, taking in her every detail, move and mannerism and responding to each in a way that made Alfina quickly feel safe and at ease seemed... Odd. Perhaps it had something to do with her power, though she hadn't the slightest clue what that would be. Either way, she was still thankful for her help, and tried not to let her suspicions get in the way of showing that.

"I can promise you, I am many things, but careless is not one of them." Alfina said firmly. The way she talked seem to give a bad impression to many Midgardians that she'd met, but Alfina didn't mind. She'd rather be disliked for showing her true self, one that is confident, alert, and perhaps a bit too... condescending, than to be liked because she put on an aloof facade. That was the kind of thing that, from her experience, would get you in serious trouble when you can't hold the act any longer.

She cleared her throat at the girls assumption about her origin, a little startled by her knowledge and not quite sure how she could explain this. "In a way, yes. I am from somewhere very much associated with the Norse, though as of lately..." she realized she was about to go on a tangent neither her or the newcomer likely wanted to hear about, and quickly tried to fix her mistake, briskly finishing, "But as of lately I have been staying in Norway. Until now, I suppose." She nodded her head politely at the students introduction. "A pleasure to meet you as well, Miranda Reyn."

Alfina nodded at Mirandas question, slinging her backpack over her shoulder and crossing her arms. "Not quite, though I know it is up those stairs." she wrinkled her nose jokingly, peering up the steps, "Though I might have to find another way up, as I'm not sure if these blasted stairs deserve a second chance." Alfina took in Miranda's comment, before looking down at her large bags and quickly filling with excitement. Finally, something she could do to help! Those bags would be a breeze to carry for any Asgardian, and repaying Miranda's favor was just what she needed to quickly prove herself to be an ally to her aqaintence. "If you would like, I could gladly help you carry those. I might not look much, but I'm fairly strong and it wouldn't be any burden to me, as I'm clearly not bringing much." she nodded to her backpack with a smile.

Miranda's smile widened by a small fraction. She found Alfina's self-assurance quite admirable. Better yet, it was a refreshing change from the general norm. Part of her knew that such a habit could easily turn people off, occasionally coming off as conceited, but Miranda herself appreciated it. It took a special courage and honesty to be able to judge oneself. There was no harm in telling people what one is capable of, after all. Such a trait would prove fitting for the environment they've been put into- a school of superheroes.

The girl listened attentively as Alfina attempted to answer her question, picking up the struggle that she was going through in choosing her words. Again, it piqued Miranda's interest. People would generally be quite straightforward and spontaneous in answering a question like the one she'd posed for Alfina, so to find her being a little cautious gave off the feeling that she was trying to skirt around the heart of the topic. Miranda's intuition might be on point, but she was no mind-reader. She did not really know the reason why she would attempt to avoid being straightforward, though she could entertain a guess on it. Miranda did not sense much secrecy in her mannerisms and language, so she assumed that it was merely difficult to put into words... whatever the truth might have been. Miranda opted against pressing the matter, simply giving a nod.

Again, she wasn't surprised by the fact that another one of her guesses had proven to be true. Miranda was used to it, having lived with it up to this point. In fact, now that she was standing within the prestigious halls of the Stark School, she might as well resign if her "people intuition" proved to be faulty. She allowed herself to laugh at Alfina's joke, nodding fervently. "I know, right?" she said, brightly. "I mean, when I heard that this school was founded by Stark himself, I'd have expected there to be... well, lifts." She ran her fingers through her hair, pushing it backwards with a sigh. "Just looking at stairs makes me feel exhausted," she joked.

Miranda picked up the spike of enthusiasm when Alfina offered her help. She could sense that she wasn't exaggerating her strength- there looked more to that lean physique than what met the eye. It did not seem like she had the normal person's strength in proportion to her frame. "Yeah, that would be great. Thanks!" Miranda tilted her head towards the stairs, a smile still on her face. "And if you want, we could look for our dorm rooms together upstairs."

She nodded with his admittance of not having the fruity pizza, deciding that he would at least try it by the time she was finished with him. ”We love pineapple on our pizza, so I had to ask. It’s just so,” Milo made a vague gesture and laughed a little. ”I don’t know. It’s good. I’ll leave it at that.”

She fished out her phone from her pocket — it was actually a new one, given to her by SHIELD. More borrowed stuff branded with the circular eagle symbol. ”Do we need to call in? I don’t know if there’s a place on campus for pizza or not.”

Pleased to have caught her interest, the blonde answered, ”The difficulty would depend on the students’ abilities. No sense in burning them out on the first day — not if they’re going to succeed the Avengers someday. Or at least the human ones,” he joked.

At her comment on mythology, the Allfather gave a chuckle. ”It’s funny, really, how skewed it all went through the centuries. And Midgard’s history is very much lacking in its knowledge of cosmic happenings.”

"How will you organize that? Will there be different sessions of the class, or will you split the students into groups based on ability within one class?" It made sense to cater to students' abilities, considering this school was supposed to train them well, but she was curious as to how it would be done. Surely there weren't enough instructors to have one on one attention in every class, and the only other options she could think of were the two she voiced.

The Avengers retiring was an uncomfortable thought. They were the "Earth's Mightiest Heroes" and protected it from major threats no one else could handle. Would the next generation of heroes really be up to the task? And would they be ready soon enough? Skyler knew Barton was at least semi-retired already, and the others would probably be soon to follow. "Do you plan to stay on the team and work with the 'new Avengers' when everyone else retires?" The teen inquired.

He tilted his head slightly, somewhat in confusion, when Nemo spoke about the quiz. "Oh... I don't read that either." Ezekiel said, indifferent, but then he nodded, the ghost of a smile flickering over his expression just briefly. "Though I love mythology. Made sense to me to study it more while I'm here, and gives me something to enjoy while I'm here." he added, pleased that the subject was one of the choices he had.
He then nodded slightly when she spoke about sociology and archery. He was not particularly interested in either subject, but he appreciated that other people would have such an interest. What was curious was archery, in his opinion. He wondered if it was something related to her powers, or if it was just something that she wanted to learn, considering it was one of the hero classes. "Is archery related to one of your powers?" he asked.

Aurelio De La Cruz

Aurelio glanced around the corridors as he walked, making sure that he was going the right way. He wasn't facing Olivia when she mentioned something about a nickname that she was going to give him, but he did tense up at the nickname. Not that there was anything wrong with it sounding feminine... for the most part. But it did bring back bad memories to have such a nickname, especially as he chose his own name, so to have it ignored, especially without being asked about it. Aurelio swallowed, recomposed himself as he kept walking, then glanced towards her as he said - in response to her vocal appreciation. "It's no problem. Though..." he hesitated, hoping that she wouldn't be too offended with the request he was about to make, though he then figured that he shouldn't have to compromise his own comfort for someone else's feelings, and he'd just have to trust that she'd respect it. "...I'd prefer it if you called me Aurelio. Please."

Finley "Nemo" Lupin

───────────────────────────────────

"Do you have a favorite myth, or character?" Nemo inquired. She herself didn't really have a favorite, though she was fond of Cerberus (who doesn't love a 3 headed dog?). When he asked about archery in relation to her powers, she shook her head. "No, it's just something I've always wanted to learn. And it's good for working on precision, focus, and stability. There isn't really a class that is designed for my abilities, so I'm probably just gonna practice on my own, or maybe see if I can work one on one with someone... I don't know yet." That had been something she had thought long and hard about when picking her classes. There wasn't a class designed for shapeshifters, so she had chosen classes that would give her skills that would hopefully be beneficial both to her powers and to herself as a person. Archery and Martial Arts had seemed like good places to start, especially considering she had zero prior training in weapons or fighting of any kind.

She debated whether or not to tell Ezekiel what her ability was. What if he judged her based on her abilities? In a school full of supers, maybe she was kinda plain, or unimpressive, or maybe he'd think shapeshifting was stupid... But he'd find out soon enough anyway probably, so she might as well tell him herself. "I'm a shapeshifter," she said, "I can turn into animal forms. I'm like... Like an Animorph or something I guess, heh." She had loved the Animorphs books as a kid.
