The Streets (Cat-Human RP) ~Accepting~

Jon could tell Valeria was nervous. He tried to think of something to show that he really would be nice to her and didn't go against alleys. "Nice to meet you." He said. "Would you like to have lunch with me? I could easily go back and get some food- I mean, if you're hungry or if you have to go back to, well, wherever you live."

"M-my repetitions are in t-the afternoon" Valeria informed him "H-how do y-you humans eat? W-we hunt" The girl asked in honest curiosity.

Back in their city, the alley's always hunted forest animals and mice. Raw meat was better than anything in the world, but fruits were fine too.

"We buy food at stores." Jon said. "Well, men and boys hunt deer, rabbits, squirells, birds, and things like that. Then, we cook them. Usually fried or grilled, and its really good." He paused. "We also fish with long poles with strings and reels. The fish we catch are cooked and they're quite tasty, too."

Valeria understood at maximum half of what the boy... Jon was saying. Stores? Grill? Fry? Reels? What were those? Probably human tools. Alley's had no need for those things, as they had fangs and claws. Sure wetting themselves in the river was uncomfortable but fish was better tasting than land animals.

Tilting her head in obvious confusion, she nodded dumbly and allowed Jon to lead. She wasn't sure about the surroundings, but her ears were non-existent by now and the tail was obviously hidden. The only thing that remained are two sharp canines, and slightly elongated nails.

Jon smiled. He walked to the house and passed into the kitchen. His mother, who was sitting on the couch watching tv, asked him, "Who's this, Johnothan?" She asked. "My friend." Jon said, opening the refridgerator. His mother rolled her eyes, but Jon ignored her. Johnothan pulled out two apples, two slices of cake, and then put them in a basket. He also got a dish of pre-cooked fish and put them in the basket. "Okay, where'd you like to eat?" He asked. "There's a pond a ways into the forest where I stay all the time. There's also the park and there's a bench under a tree behind the house."

Valeria opened her mouth to hiss, but thought better of it as Jon's mother was here. The girl didn't know what she thought about alley's, and didn't want to find out.

The pond was wet. Very wet. It was crossed out.
The park was cluttered. Crossed out.

"T-the tree b-behind the house?"

"Sure." Jon said. He took the basket and walked out of the house alongside Valeria. Once they reached the spot, Johnothan sat down on the bench and opened up the basket. He handed an apple, a plate with a few fried fish on it, and a slice of cake to her. He also handed her a glass of coke, then took the same things out of the basket for himself.

Apples were good, as they were juicy and sweet. Plus, they were helping her learn better when she ate them.

But the other three objects were mysterious to her. There was something wrong with the fish, obviously. It was all brown and black, and it.. it just looked weird.

Then there was something creamy and brown and black, but not like the fish. It was only arranged and looked sweet in a different way. [Chocolate cake yay?]

Also, there was this mysterious liquid. It was also black, and fizzy because droplets of liquid jumped out. There were small bubbles surfacing, and some foam at the top.

Yes, these things were very strange.

So Valeria took the safest path. She first bit into the apple, choosing to finish it quickly. It left her canines aching but it was okay, it wasn't normal for something so good to not have flaws.

She proceeded to nip at weird looking fish. Valeria noticed the head was missing, and the guts were missing too. The tail was cut. Ah, these humans don't know what they're missing! Fish meat was delicious, but there must be guts to go with them!

It tasted weird. As in, super weird. Slightly burnt, mildly spicy and overall boring. Raw meat all varied, having her excited and maybe disappointed.
The liquid was fine too, but to sweet for her tastes. Valeria prefered water thank you very much.

The creamy thing was the last, as it looked suspicious. She took a piece between her thumb and index, bringing it to eye level and then squinting, as if waiting it to jump and eat her.

Jon laughed. "That's cake." he said. He too had finished everything exept for the cake. He picked a peice off and ate it. (Chocolate deliciousness om nom nom! ) "It won't eat you, you eat it." Johnothan said. He smiled. "It is really good."
