Shellpepper wrote:"Fresh," she said after a moment of thought. "New. Even in the city you can tell that the grim of the day is gone, because everything has its own scent back. The air is calm and cool, and it smells like rain, so I'd bet we're getting some in the next day or so. I wish you could experience this." She closed her eyes for a moment and then opened them to look up at Erik. "The forest is better, though."
Alaire rolled over, onto the remote, and the TV clicked on suddenly, right in the screaming part of a horror movie. Alaire exploded from the chair, leaping three feet away from it and yanking a dagger from his ankle- already facing the direction of the noise. He wheeled, and saw Aurora. "Oh," he said, connecting that the remote was on the chair, and there were a dozen screaching people being picked off by some crap-ola poorly animated Vampire dat spoke like de count drecula. Alaire rolled his eyes and jabbed the power button. He slipped the dagger back into it's sheith and walked over to Aurora. He studied her face carefully. "You didn't feed, did you?"
Erik looked at her as he listened, he smiled softly, "That sounds amazing." he replied.
Aurora lept in suprise at the scream also, she watched Alaire warily for a moment. She looked at him he asked her that, she knew she could lie to him, but she didn't want to. "No, I didn't." she replied softly.
