Alaire grinned. "That's why I'm the chasseure, you can't tell what I'm gonna do next!" he narrowed his eyes myschieviously, then laughed. "Well, why I was the chasseure."
Rachelle was quiet, it felt right here. A little piece of her seemed to click together with another piece that hadn't been there before, or at least was hiding. It was like she hadn't realized part of her was missing until it was there. It was an amazing sensation.
Ian ignored the slight throbbing in his back, focussing on how good her touch felt. He wrapped his arm around her shoulder, his arm crossing her back so that his hand was on her waist. "Well?"
The doctor left the room. A few minutes later a nurse came in his place. "Alright, dear, we're just going to get you patched up and send you on your way." Her voice was too brisk, clearly the doctor had run his mouth a bit behind the scenes.
