It's been 300 years since the Avatar was last seen. Fire Lord Ozai's reign has long ended, but not before he was able to succeed in his plans to overtake the Earth Kingdom and destroy the Northern and Southern Water Tribes. Without the Avatar to stop Ozai before Sozin's comet the nation become helpless to the wrath of the Fire Nation's army. Air benders have been long eradicated, and what's left of the water and earth benders have been captured or enslaved. The few who remain free hope to never be caught. The Fire Nation reigns freely, sending the once flourishing nation of benders to nothing but ash. The imbalance of power and complete desolation of hope has finally, after 300 years, awoken the Avatar, but what is there left to return to?
