Skylar glanced towards the compartment door when he heard it open, and was very much surprised to see the Herbology professor, Professor Blackhoof, ducking into the compartment and carrying an evidently well-sealed sack of something. A quick glance at the writing on the side of the sack gave him a sense of recognition - he'd been to Thornside's Greenhouse and Nursery a fair few times over the summer, and helped calm down a fair few of the more rowdy plants, which was his preferred method of working with plants, by being more gentle yet firm towards them, though he'd definitely be a little harsher towards a more difficult plant. Regardless, it clearly worked for him, as he received an 'Outstanding' in his Herbology OWL last year.
Anyway, Skylar glanced away a little embarrassed, as Professor Blackhoof spoke and he ran a hand somewhat nervously over the spine of the book he was holding, Sub-Aquatic Botanical Mysteries. "Um... sort of, Professor." Skylar replied, looking back up to make eye contact, as to be polite. "I don't recall this book being on the list for this year." He added, tilting the book slightly so that the professor could see the cover more clearly, although he figured that the professor already knew what book it was anyway.

He was about to say something else, when another 2nd year student - a Slytherin - also joined without much asking, and went to sit at the window seat opposite him. "Yes, it is." Lee-Jae responded to the question, though he knew that there was probably little point in responding, because the student was already sat down. He narrowed his eyes slightly, noting the younger Slytherin's appearance with some hidden concern and not-so-hidden disapproval. Dammit, it was already starting.
With a deep sigh, Lee-Jae said, pointedly, "Yes, it was fine. Up until I realised I was babysitting for the next six hours." He pouted, then did take his pocket mirror out and looked into it, preening himself for a moment before asking, out of obligation, "What about you and your summer?"
