- Mitsuo perked up when he heard a voice address him albeit it was soft, but still his ears easily picked it up. Pausing for a moment, he looked up at the girl that was trapped inside and gave a small nod at her words. Nobody enjoyed being saved. He knew he was in the same boat, but that didn't mean that sometimes it wasn't necessary. As students of UA they needed to look out for one another. It didn't matter if they might be in separate classes or anything like that. He just wanted to see all those striving to become heroes succeed at their ultimate goal. Having a good relationship with those around would only help him down the road if that time where he needed to be rescued came along. Averting his attention back down to his hole, he began digging once more until the forcefield vanished before him and took him by surprise. Jumping back slightly, his mind began to race. Had his plan already failed? Had he been too reckless with it all? Even the girl told him to hide yet he was frozen in place. At first it didn't seem like the villain had noticed his presence though. Maybe his cover hadn't been blown then. That wasn't the issue at hand though. The girl's safety was now in danger and he wasn't sure if he would be able to break her free. Hearing her cry of pain caused his ears to flatten and his tail dropped believing that he had failed. It was only about to get worse from there. His eyes widened as he saw a forcefield coming his direction accompanied with the word "shoo." Clearly he wasn't seen as a threat nor did this older boy think he was a student here. What normal cat wore clothes? Wrinkling his nose, Mitsuo rolled out of the way and let a soft huff escape his mouth. He had two choices here; one, he could attack Abo and try to free the girl from his grasp or two, he could flee and regroup with the boy from before. But what then? He wasn't sure how well the other was suited for a situation like this and he didn't want the other to get in trouble.
Now wasn't the time for him to be hesitating though. He had to think this through as quickly as possible. If he did attack, then how would Haru make it to safety? He wasn't big enough to carry her and it was clear that she was in no shape to escape on her own. So even if he managed to free her then she would have no way of getting away plus there was the second villain that hadn't shown what kind of quirk she had. Attacking clearly wasn't a great idea. He should have planned for this before. Now he felt stupid for rushing in and not talking this over with the other boy. Nervously lashing his tail out behind himself, he refused to retreat. That was a cowardly act especially when a lady was in danger. He couldn't bring himself to leaving her behind. Maybe talking it out would work then. It was worth a shot. Pushing himself to his full height, Mitsuo placed his paws on his hips and puffed out his chest in attempt to make himself look intimidating although it was nearly impossible for him to do so no matter how hard her tried. "Hey! You're looking for the one that shot out the light then you're looking at him! Don't overlook me!" he hissed out. That probably wasn't the best way to start this off, but at least he knew it would draw Abo's attention to him. "You wanted me so now you got me. Now how about you put the girl down and we can talk this out. No need for explosions or anything like that unless you're scared of a cat."
Oddly Mitsuo's words oozed with confidence that he was even surprised by. What wasn't surprising was how loud he was being. Such a tact was entirely on purpose. He wished to make sure that his hidden ally heard exactly what he was saying in hopes that he might come up with an idea that would get them out of this situation with ease. It was a risk to bank on a stranger, but he believed that the other boy would make the right move when the time came. "I'm surprised you thought I was just some normal cat, telling me to shoo. Has my little tactic of taking out the lights made you that blind?" he remarked. It probably wasn't smart to act in such a brash manner, but he had to keep up this kind of act. It was the only way he would be able to create any opening for Yoshiro although if things started looking badly for Haru he wouldn't hesitate to jump in and attack to the best of his ability.
