He blinked when Virion transformed himself into a squid, before transforming back into his normal self, and blinked some more when he also stated they were kids. He generally thought either he was too tall, or he was just a small one. Although he did note that he doesn't seem to be as child-like as most children are, somewhat like Link, in a way. He glanced at what Virion was holding curiously, having never seen something like it before. Being familiar with only swords and the occasional shield and arrows, he wondered what those items were. Inside the tank seemed to be... ink? Wondering how that can help in life-or-death situations, he tilted his head questioningly, and gestured to the weapons in Virions hand, asking what they are and what they could do.

He nodded at her question and waved a small hello at her introduction, giving a small smile in assurance. Looking around, he halfway wandered around, seeing as, well, her side of the room seemed to be just a tad bit different from his, and was somewhat disappointed when he didn't find anything much new. Glancing at his newfound partner, he wondered if he should say something, as he doesn't want to seem rude, yet at the same time, he was the soft-spoken child most were familiar with. Well, back in Termina and Hyrule anyways. He silently fussed around a bit, having no idea what to do, especially since he was new to this... relationship. He is certainly sure he looks like an insane idiot right now, which he doesn't mind, since that practically sums up his thoughts right now. Finally, after a while, he gave up on the act, and sighed, patting his Keaton mask before looking straight into the eyes of his partner, all former pretense gone. She'll just have to handle his natural state for now. Perhaps he can explain to her later, when he feels a bit more comfortable around the other child. She certainly seems to be able to match his energy, so that's something good that came out of this weird matchmaking game. He looked at her curiously, as if to ask what exactly she was. He wasn't trying to be rude, but he has never seen someone wear such a …. white attire, so it perked his interest. Not to mention he spotted some sort of markings on her neck, although he doesn't want to pry into her personal matters.

she blinked in surprise at his casual mention of swordmanship.
"thats really impressive," she breathed, "i havent met anyone
who used a sword and wasnt one of those weird basement
guys who just watch anime and eat icecream all day.."
she held off a chuckle at the relatively pathetic thought.
"i havent met any ninjas yet, so thats a first." she
seemed rather interested in his abilities, despite
his brief descriptions.
him turning the topic toward her made her slightly smile.

"well, theres not all that much to say about me..
.. i guess men act weird around me, sometimes.
but who wouldnt? ive got a lot to impress with."
her vanity shone through for a bare moment.

      [ ] Renat • 20 • Male • Gray Pairing • Tags, Tomie

Renat smiled a little upon receiving the slight praise from Tomie, although he find it a bit odd that she hasn't met anyone who used a sword or even ninjas. The latter is understandable, youre not supposed to know about them but samurais and ronins are uncommon enough for even commoners to come across by. Moreover, mention of the words 'anime' and 'ice cream' made Renat looked up in confusion as those words are foreign to him. As Tomie started onto her own introduction, he listened patiently. " i guess men act weird around me, sometimes.
but who wouldnt? ive got a lot to impress with."
Tomie's words only gave Renat the impression that she was confident in herself. Something that he could probably use. To be fair, he was never good at reading people. He replied by politely laughing, nodding slightly. "I can see why, you seem like a nice person." He looked off into the distance and reminded himself about the words he was stuck on earlier. "Ah, if I may ask, what's... Anime and ice cream?" Renat asked awkwardly. Only realizing this far into the conversation that he was still leaning on the wall, he stood straight. It's not good manners to slouch backs with new acquintances.

"aww, thank you!" she mentally snickered at the thought of her being a good person.
however, she arched a brow in response to his question.
"what, do you live under a rock?.. anime is like.. a cartoon for kids,
and icecream is frozen cream, really. its not too complicated."
the silver-eyed woman lightly crossed her arms.
"then again, if you have ninjas and fight with swords..
we might be from different time periods, huh? i guess that
would make some things seem weird." she glanced away,
now being slightly more understanding.

      Ruby!!
xxxxmale seventeen years old green pair tagged: parramatta
      ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Hearing her say that they did not have Pokemon where she was seemed to come as no surprise to the boy. He was quick to accept the fact that he was in a place where not everyone was going to know exactly what the creatures were and this first encounter was proof of that. Such a thing wasn't much of a problem though. Understanding the concept of his companions was a rather simple one to learn especially since young children picked up on it quickly back home. He could assume there might be similar creatures in her own world as well. It was difficult to say given that he had no knowledge of what kind of world his soulmate was from nor what kind of world they were currently trapped in. Besides, she made no mention of having similar creatures, but perhaps she saw it as useless information thus withheld it. Ruby wouldn't blame her for doing such. It made complete sense to avoid throwing out useless info at the moment. Pushing the thought aside, the teen allowed himself to focus on what he was being told instead. It was best to listen now so he wouldn't have to ask about it again later or worse be taken by surprise by what she could do if it was something he wasn't used to. The latter was probably inevitable though. If she had some strange superpowers like those people in comics did then it would still take him by surprise despite knowing about to prior. Even so, he listened to what the girl had to say to him knowing it would be rude if he had asked for such information and then completely zoned out on her. As he listened, Coco jumped up onto his shoulder and made herself comfortable with a soft purr. Such an action before fazed the boy though. Hearing her explain what a talent was, Ruby couldn't help but feel intrigued. To him talents were something quite different than what she was explaining. He supposed each world had its own kind of quirk though. Perhaps that was what Pokemon were to his own world.

"Dressing for the wrong occasion, huh?" he repeated. It was a strange ability to have and he wasn't sure how beneficial it might be in the face of trouble, but there was no changing that. All he could do was hope that there was no kind of danger lurking about that they would have to deal with. That seemed far too optimistic of a thought though. The letter had made it clear that this place was a threat to everyone that was inside. For a game that seemed so nonchalant and innocent in writing, it was surprising that there had been a mention of betraying and killing. That alone was enough to make it sound as if things wouldn't go as easy as he was hoping they would. Hopefully his companions would be able to handle it though. It did worry him that they might be outmatched though. Pushing the thought aside, his attention was drawn down to her slippers as she looked down as well. It seemed that what she had previously been wearing had changed to them. It was a bit embarrassing for her although he figured it was something she was entirely used to having such things happen if it was such a normal occurrence. It was best not to mention it anyways. The last thing he wanted was to upset his companion before getting all too far. Besides, he had had enough of upsetting people back home. Sapphire's disappointment in his "memory loss" was enough of that for him. Rubbing the back of his neck at the thought of such, the trainer took a brief couple of seconds to compose himself once again. Pushing it to the back of his head, he heard Parra continue on and offer a suggestion for what they should do. It was a good place to start although he wondered if they would even be lucky to find such a thing in this place. Surely the matchmaker wouldn't want them to starve though, right?

"That sounds like a good place to start. Food would be important to have in this place," he agreed with a small nod of his head. It might be possible that other parts of this place might have such as well, but for now stocking up was probably best. It was better safe than sorry as he saw it. With a goal in mind now, the dex holder moved his way over towards the door and stopped beside it as he glanced back towards his partner. "Well we ought to get moving then, right?"

      Sonia Nevermind!!
xxxxfemale seventeen years old yellow pair tagged: elijah
      ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Deciding to leave whatever had been spoken about alone for now, Sonia's focus shifted to what was in front of her instead. The idle chitchat they had just had would not help them through whatever this place had to offer and she needed her mind to be focused. Listening to Gao speak, the princess was surprised to hear that they had been the first to arrive or so that was what the dog was picking up on. It was entirely possible that others had already arrived, but via other staircases. There really was no telling what this place was like. That was what concerned her most. This place was bound to be full of surprises and who could say that it would be the same for each and every pairing that entered. Maybe this whole place was one illusion that appeared different for all that were involved. It was a strange thought and she found it hard to wrap her mind around despite being the one that had brought it up. Giving her head a small shake, thinking of such things would get her nowhere. "First ones here, huh?" she repeated with a faint frown upon her lips. She certainly did not like the sounds of that at all. Maybe they were actually alone in this place then rather than what the letter had said about there being others. Maybe it was all a lie. That got her thinking, but up till now everything had been seemingly true. There was no reason to not believe what they had been told thus far until they could prove it otherwise. Doing such might prove difficult. For now she had no reason to try and do such things right now. "That is odd that we'd be the first ones here. I would have thought someone would have gotten here ahead of us." It was true. She would have thought others would have moved much faster than they had. Actually, she hadn't thought they had been moving all too quickly to begin with. It made her question if the others were just that slow or had no interest in trying to escape. Was it wrong to want to?

Giving her head yet another shake, Sonia knew she couldn't succumb to negative thoughts. She had to be strong in this situation. She would prove her usefulness in whatever ways she could given that she was unable to do much combat wise. Her intelligence and experience was all she could offer then. Hopefully that would be enough to get them through what awaited them. Taking a couple of seconds to compose herself once more, the princess quietly looked at the various halls that branched off before them. It seemed that they had come to the start of a maze. Maybe it would be like one of those corn mazes she had heard about before or maybe it was entirely different. Still, they had a choice to make; which path would they take. None of them looked any different than the others and if Gao hadn't picked up any scents that meant that they couldn't follow anyone that had beaten them here either. They would have to make the decision entirely on their own. That wouldn't be too hard. Examining the five paths briefly, she finally took a step forward towards the second on the right. There was no specific reason why she had gone for it, but it felt right. That was what her gut was telling her. Relying on such a thing was risky, but it was all they had at the moment. If that meant she led them into danger then so be it. There was no avoiding it now. "We should go this way. There is no telling if it is the right path, but if we must we can always retrace our steps back to this point and take another path," she stated. There would be no harm in backtracking if they had to although she hoped that would not be the case. As much as she wished to save as much time as possible, if they had to turn around she would not be opposed to it. "It better to take our chances then try to debate which one to go with."

      Bayonetta!!
xxxxfemale five hundred years old teal pair tagged: hit, others in the lounge (indirectly)
      ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Falling silent, the umbra witch simply gave a small nod as her companion confirmed that it was possible that the girl was from his world. Either way it was clear that they did not know each other specifically. Crossing her arms over her chest, Bayonetta watched as the girl hid herself behind the boy that was accompanying her. Focusing on him, it didn't take her long to tell he was no normal boy. His appearance alone gave away though. However he did bare some resemblance to the humans she was used to being surrounded by. Not that it mattered. In a way they were both in the same boat. Unlike their partners they had no one that was tied to their homes present. Perhaps he saw that as a relief like she did. It wasn't something she would known unless she asked and she couldn't be bothered despite usually having no problem to pry into other people's lives. Even if she did and questions were turned on her in return it wouldn't have been much of a bother. Speaking of her experiences never fazed her although it might be different in a place like this. Those back home that she was associated with all knew what she did for a living. These people didn't have the slightest clue that she hunted and killed angels for a living or that she had been wrapped up in saving the world despite having no interest in doing such. If anything she didn't see herself as any kind of hero. All she had been doing was the same thing she had been all along; killing angels. Somehow that had gotten her tied up in saving the world. Her thirst for knowledge back then had really taken her to extremes. It actually amused her. Now wasn't the time to be reminiscing in such thoughts yet diving into such parts of her mind barely took her focus away from what was happening before her.

Letting a soft hum escape her lips, Bayonetta dropped her arms from her chest and allowed one hand to rest against her hip instead. Listening to the girl introduce herself, a playful smirk crossed her lips. She supposed an introduction was a must at this point. That was fine by her. It wasn't often that she actually got to make one given that her name usually proceeded her with the angels. They all knew of the witch that was out to kill them. Such things truly made her feel like a celebrity back home. It was hilarious. Shifting herself into a more relaxed stance, the witch twirled one gun around her finger as she prepared to give her own name. "I'm the one they call Bayonetta, darling," she began. Her voice seemed to match the expression upon her face; playful yet an underlying hint of her usual cockiness. "And what about you, little one? Do you perhaps have a name as well?" Her attention shifted to Ian as she spoke and she gave a small gesture in his direction to make sure they were aware that she was speaking to him. He hadn't spoken a word since their arrival nor had he moved all too much either. It made her curious about her. His appearance also helped pique that interest as well. Now that she thought about it, his see through body reminded her of how humans appeared while she was roaming the streets while hiding in one of the other realms; one that the humans could not access nor see her in yet she could interact with them through. Was it possible that there were ties to the realms here unlike what she had expected? No, that was impossible. She had already confirmed that with the lack of her demons presence. If there were any kind of ties, they would have still been with her and this place probably would be far easier to navigate. "So little one, why don't you speak up? You've been quiet for far too long," Bayonetta hummed as she took a step closer to the ghost boy.

] Gyeol Ri 'Ian' • 17 • Male • Red Pairing • oc • Tags, Arctica, Hit, Bayonetta

Ian was just standing there like an inanimate object. He wasn't scared nor intimidated by the pair infront of them but pure apathy and confusion made him stay still. Soon, it was replaced as he started actually feeling Arctica's fingers on his body. Restraining his urge to lash out to his partner, he squinted in annoyance and went untouchable, his already see-through body going even more invisible as he stepped aside. "Don't touch me." He said with no hints of his former forced-concern voice. Instead, it was cold yet laced with anger. He slipped a finger into his cap, fixing them despite not needing to. Then, following up Arctica's introduction, the tall lady gave her name. She was really, really tall and not only has heels to boot but also guns on them. The way she spoke gave him the impression that she's probably older than she looks unless she's one of those weird people. The gun she's spinning around says otherwise though. He had already met aliens so he shouldn't be suprised. He's a ghost anyway, who is he to judge? "Gyeol Ri." He said his name nonchalantly, not really invested in the whole 'being nice to people' thing. "Just call me Ian." He added afterards, remembering how Arctica couldn't even begin to pronounce the first syllable of his name. "What are you, really?" Ian directed the question towards Bayonetta. Arctica is a frost demon or something an he really doesn't care about alien species, it's not life-saving information that could help him in the future. Though, with Bayonetta looking pretty much human and yet not giving a vibe of one, interested him a little.

      [ ] Renat • 20 • Male • Gray Pairing • Tags, Tomie

Renat brought his right hand up to his mouth and bit his thumb, his sharp teeth baring as he got even more confused by Tomie's explanation. Afterwards, she commented on how they're probably from different eras, which made more sense. Well, time travel doesn't completely make sense but despite his limited knowledge of the damned god, he knows things. He hadn't really revised you see, he just wanted a simple life. As simple as assains for hire goes, that is. It does explain that whoever brought them have to be really powerful if they can bring so many people together. It's quite... disheartening to think about. "Different times... Huh." He mused on the idea for awhile. He had passed over Tomie's tone when she explained, still a bit dazed from all of this. He probably should pay more attention, for his own sake. "That's fine, I don't think humans really change just because they're in different time eras." Renat didn't notice until it's too late that he had described humans as they. Regular people probably won't pick up on the wording, it's not too off. Nonetheless, he flinched slightly upon realization of his own mistake, withdrawing a little from the space between him and Tomie. "So we could work together! I hope you're okay with my company." In his panic, his mellow voice went a pitch higher as he changed the topic.

      ( ) HANZO URUSHIHARA !!
      [ lucifer ] ─ [ male ] ─ [ purple pair ] ─ [ location starting floor ] ─ [ tags kaori ]
      ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
too his relief, she didn’t seem all to happy with the idea of being romantically involved with him. not that it made his situation anymore pleasant. he was beginning to feel pretty uncomfortable, he wasn’t use to being out of the confinement of the apartment, so it was an incredibly odd feeling to be anywhere else unfamiliar to him. at her reply urushihara raised an eyebrow. “high enough level..?” he repeated, confused. what was that supposed to mean? pushing the thought aside, he rubbed the back of his neck and glanced away. “don’t worry, i’m not too keen on the idea of having a soulmate either..” he mumbled, a dull expression crossing over his face. of all the possible things urushihara was interested in, finding a partner wasn’t one of them. it was rather amusing to think that the matchmaker had paired him up with someone he’d more than likely outlive many times over. as as far as he could tell, she was only a human. which only made this whole thing ten times more meaningless and irrelevant to him than it already was.

her next response didn’t surprise him, though it was still pretty disappointing nonetheless. of course she didn’t know. he didn’t even know why he bothered asking the question, if he didn’t have the slightest idea as to where they were, then why would she? despite her suggestion being the most reasonable of ideas. he really wasn’t in the mood for exploring, but in the particular situation he didn’t have a choice wether he wanted to or not, it was either find a way out of here or stay here.. though he’d admit he liked the fact he finally had a bed, not to mention it was nice to be away from maou and ashiya for once. “yeah, i think that’s a good place to start.” he agreed reluctantly. turning to face the door. “it definitely beats awkwardly standing around in this room, that’s for sure..“ ambling over to the door, he opened it, but paused halfway as a thought crossed his mind, he glanced back over at kaori. “hey, uh- not that i want to give this ‘matchmaker’ the pleasure of watching us work with one another, but i’d say our best bet is to stick together for now.. it only makes sense, after all we don’t really know exactly what we’re dealing with..” if the time did come where he could ditch this girl, he would do it without hesitation, but for now it was smart to try and stay with her, just to be on the safe side.

      Kaori Miyazaki!!
xxxxfemale fifteen years old purple pair tagged: urushihara
      ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

It was a relief that he had little interest in the whole soulmate aspect of the game, but it came as a surprise that he questioned her use of not being a high enough level. Was he not a gamer? Maybe that wasn't a phrase many people actually used. If she got out more maybe she would know, but for most of her life she had been homeschooled and her interaction with others usually were far and in between until the last couple years when she had taken up online gaming and began streaming. That too had been cut short when her parents decided that she should use her quirk for good rather than not using it at all. That is how she had begun her training to make it into UA and that is where she was now. Still even in her interactions with her classmates, she tended to reference video games and the like. Perhaps this boy wasn't as in touch with those things. What a shame. Video games were an escape from the world around her. They allowed her to live many lives and explore places she could have never imagined. If he was missing out on that then it was his loss. "Oh sorry... My gamer side came through," she said softly. It almost felt strange apologizing for such a thing but it was nothing to get hung up on right now. Putting too much focus into such a little thing would get her nowhere. If she were back home her teachers would have been scolding her for such a thing. If there was one thing she lacked other than strength it was the ability to push past certain topics. She overthought things far too much despite how aloof she seemed. Giving her head a small shake, she listened as the boy continued on to answer her suggestion. As much as the awkwardness didn't bother her, she had to agree. Exploring would be far better than standing around in this room. It had nothing to keep her interested in the first place. If this matchmaker truly wanted her to stay put he would have put gaming consoles in the room. It was probably for the best that they weren't there though.

Watching Urushihara move past her, Kaori stayed put for the moment until he reached the door. Hearing the words he spoke, she gave a small bob of her head. At least for now she would be able to rely on him. That was better than being left to fend for herself and possibly tire herself completely out from overusing her quirk. She could only imagine how that would go. Her vision was always the first thing to go when she did such a thing and as it glitched it caused a migraine to begin. It was an annoyance, but it was what she had to live with. Nevertheless, she had to stay optimistic. Allowing a smile to cross her lips, she finally bounded forward after her companion. "That sounds good to me. Working with someone else does help. I promise I will put my abilities to use the best I can! This place won't be able to beat us even while we're playing on hard mode!" she exclaimed. There she went with the gaming references again. It was a habit that couldn't be stopped no matter what nor did she realize she was doing it. It simply was who she was and she never cared all too much what others might think of her because of it. Despite that, the gamer radiated with happiness as she stopped beside her soulmate and briefly glanced at him. "Let's give it all we've got!" Without waiting for a response, Kaori pushed the door open and stepped out into the hallway. To her surprise it was much wider than she had anticipated and the same vibe the room had given off was continued. This place definitely was fancy. It almost made her not want to leave. She couldn't think like that now though. She had to escape and return home now matter what.

      Ren Amamiya!!
xxxxmale seventeen years old crimson pair tagged: hana
      ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Noticing that she had taken the holster, Ren felt at ease. At least she was being reasonable with him. That made things much easier for him. Perhaps working with her wouldn't be so bad after all. Maybe it would be just as fun as working alongside the other Phantom Thieves. It would be interesting to see, especially given that she was not a persona user like himself or his usual comrades. That was what he believed at least. If she were to be one than it was possible he would have been able to tell or so he liked to believe he could. With the lack of a mask, he wanted to believe that it was impossible for her to be one. All the users he knew wore one, even Morgana despite the fact that he was a cat. That was the only reason he had for believing that unlike him, she did not hold such a power. However, given that she wielded a pistol, he could come to the conclusion that she did have skills that would prove to be useful and she might even have hidden abilities that he was unaware of. Appearance alone was hard to base anything like that off of. Even so he couldn't wait to see what the girl was capable of. Surely she might be thinking the same of him. He had a feeling that the two of them would get along nicely now that all things were set aside. Perhaps even make a good team depending on how their skill sets aligned with one another. If she had a decent shot then it would spare him the need to use his own pistol and thus rely on his dagger instead unless the situation become dire enough that he needed to call upon Arsene to protect them. Using such power might come as a surprise to her though. That shouldn't be a reason to hold himself back. She would probably want him to use the full extent of his powers to assure neither of them died. At this point he was only assuming though. He had no idea if that was how she truly would be. Even so, he liked to believe that it was true. Hana seemed like that type to want to go all out. He would just have to wait and see if that was true. For now, he could be happy that things were going smoothly. With them both at ease it would be easier to get a read on her personality, that was for sure.

Snapping from his thoughts as she finally spoke, Ren rubbed the back of his head at her comment. So she had already noticed his usual nature. He supposed it was easy to tell given his actions. He was the quiet type that showed relatively few emotions though it was to keep himself under the radar more than anything else. For one he did not mind speaking nor did he have a difficult time expressing his emotions. He figured both would only cause him more trouble than it was worth though ever since he has woken his persona he did make an effort to try and express himself more towards his friends at least. Maybe he could do the same for Hana. He was going to be with her for awhile so it would make things easier. Besides, he already had pushed himself to be more talkative with her thus far. It wouldn't hurt to be a bit more expressive as well. From the sounds of it, she was amused by it anyways. He couldn't blame her. It was always a surprise when he managed to show much emotion towards others. As much as his friends didn't say anything about it, he could tell that was what they all thought. Even so, the fact that she had gone far enough to point it out did embarrass Ren a bit. He certainly didn't want to appear devoid of all emotions. Those kinds of people were typically difficult to deal with and harder to read in terms of what they might do. The latter was something he didn't mind so much, but it might make him more trustworthy if he opened up a bit. Given the tone Hana had taken, he felt he too might be able to return such a playful manner towards her. It wouldn't hurt to try at some point. He did often poke fun at the likes of Ryuji when he could. Of course it was all in good fun and his friend was well aware of such. That was something he would have to make sure Hana understood if he desired to take such a route. He was sure it wouldn't be too much of a problem though. If anything he had been far too careful thus far so if he did attempt humor with her it would be obvious. He really had nothing to worry about. Realizing that he still hadn't responded yet, Ren let a sheepish smile form upon his lips. "First time I've shown emotions, huh? I suppose you got me there," he admitted as he dropped his hand away. For a brief moment he thought to follow up with an apology for his actions, but he felt that it would be unnecessary. Besides, he didn't need to get too hung up over such a thing.

Allowing himself to relax again, he listened to the next words that came from the girl and at that moment he knew his assumption from before might be true. If she had been put into situations where she had guns being pointed at her much like himself then he felt that it was safe to say that she was a strong individual despite the vibe that her appearance gave off. One look at her without her weapon and he wouldn't have taken her as someone to worry about in a combat situation. Perhaps it was wrong of him to think such a thing especially given his own appearance and those of his comrades. Either way, he felt assured that he could rely on her after her previous statement. He even saw a chance to poke a little bit of fun. "Well, you don't need to worry about that here," he started as a faint smirk crossed his lips. "I won't be pointing any guns at you here like a certain someone did to me." It was playful banter and the look on his face made that entirely obvious. It may not have been his best attempt at such, but it was something to say the least. It would at least prove that he was done with having such between them. It might even be for the best that they did. Now that he thought back to his words, he knew it wasn't something he could truly guarantee. He might not point his gun in her direction but he couldn't prevent anyone else from doing so. If they dared he'd just have to make sure they regretted that decision. It was a cruel thing to think of, but he was a man of his word. He had no reason to be protective of Hana either, but if he was going to claim her as a partner then he felt it a must even if it was temporarily. It wasn't as if he was submitting to the matchmaker's claim that they were soulmates. That was something that would time could tell and he doubted they would have much time in a place like this once they set foot outside of the room. If they dared to take on the game that awaited them then he assumed the matchmaker would want to be able to force them to do it quickly, but the end goal was to kill the one behind it all, wasn't it? Then maybe they would have more time than he was thinking. Either way, whatever awaited them wouldn't be easy.

Hearing her confirm that it was indeed alright to call her Hana, Ren gave a small bob of his head. No honorifics. That was fine by him although it wouldn't have been a problem otherwise. If anything he figured that others his age would much prefer use of their name rather than anything attached to it. Sure some of his friends still did such, but for the most part they were relatively chill with using a simple first name basis. Even when one did add a honorific to someone's name it never fazed them. They all understood it was out of respect. It seemed he wouldn't have to worry about such manners here though. Making it casual truly did make it more comfortable between the two of them to begin with. He appreciated it. Plus it might have been awkward to use his native tongue's honorifics if she was in fact from another country like he suspected. Well actually he knew she had to be. It was entirely possible there were no countries in the world she hailed from, but being from an entirely different world itself still made his point stand. That wasn't important now though. "Sounds good then. Let us be off then." Watching her open the door, Ren let her exit first before following close behind. Taking a moment to observe the hall, he noted that it was rather wide and several doors lines it hinting that there were other guests. That was if they were all indeed rooms like theirs. The letter had suggested that there would be others so it really was no surprise, but at the same time he had little desire to get tied up with too many people in this place. He had no problems trusting others, no, but with the rules that had been set he wasn't overly keen on doing so. There might be one crazy person among them all and that would be enough to put them in danger if they were to get tied up with them. It was probably best that they keep their group as small as possible for the time being. Maybe he was being overly cautious, but given the situation he felt it was necessary. Averting his gaze towards Hana as she spoke, he noted that she had come to the same observation as he had although she stated that they would meet many people. "I don't necessarily believe we will need to meet though people. Keeping our numbers small might be for the better given the situation."

If she disagreed with his view on such then it was no problem. He would respect that, but that did not mean he would easily accept others in unless he was given a good reason to. Turning away from his companion for a moment, his eyes continued to scan their surroundings in attempt to decide which direction they should head. Faintly he could hear voices drifting down the hall from their right, suggesting that there were others ahead. That only made him want to head in the opposite direction though. As he turned to face said direction, he was taken by surprise as his mask suddenly appeared across his face. Of all times he could make itself present why now? He wasn't sure. It was clear that he was seen as a threat given his appearance, but to have the mask appear late. He couldn't help but wonder why. Pulling at it, he moved it up onto his head for the time being. "I say we head away from the sound of voices. I'm sure we can find a way down that does not involve having a run in so early on," he stated, deciding to play off the mask by not mentioning it at all. He was sure she would notice though. It was hard to miss a mask like his even with it off his face already. He'd have to find some way of explaining such a phenomenon. Explaining such things was easier when the Metaverse was involved, but in a place like this, he wasn't entirely sure he would be able to explain it. The least he could do was attempt even if it meant uncovering the second identity he had to her.

tomie
female, 19. gray pairing. tagged; renat
location; lounge

while she noted his choice of words, she ignored it;
just assuming him as the socially awkward type..
or non-human like her. either option was fine, really.
more power to him. not like itd bother her, so long as
he didnt turn out strange. she definitely smiled some
as he realized his error, though. "that's alright with me,
no worries! its always good to have company on my level."
while she was really more suspecting of him being awkward,
the possibility was still there. really, though- he seemed so
non-conspicuous.. yeah, there was no chance.
hes just weird, she figured- ending her mental debate.

      [ ] Renat • 20 • Male • Gray Pairing • Tags, Tomie
Without missing a beat, Renat looked around the lounge, opting to remove his eye bandages for now since nobody else but Tomie was paying attention to him. He'll put it on later, he felt comfortable with them off right now. As long as nobody mentioned their colors, which is an odd thing to bring up but nonetheless a crippling fear of his, he should be fine. "Right, uh, do you want to check the rest of the lounge or- check the next floor? I think I saw some stairs leading down." Renat asked, handing the decision over to his supposed soulmate. She didn't seem to notice anything and being the type of person that Renat is, he didn't notice anything either. He wasn't sure what she meant by her level but being non-confrontional, Renat decided to leave it be. "I'll follow you wherever." He said in his usual kind tone, calming down a bit now as he placed a hand on his chest. Feeling his heartbeat and being reminded that he is alive always seem to do the trick.
