"Don't..." Megan whispered, pulling her arm away from him. She was still annoyed with herself not being able to predict the next attack. I should know, she thought angrily.

Alex sighed, placing his hand on the bed and just laying by her side. He didn't know what to say or do anymore so just stared at her and wondered why she was attacked by pain so often, just for eating.

Megan fixed her gaze on Alex, realising that he was staring at her intensively. "What?" she snapped. Megan's eyes widened, and she shifted closer to him, surprised by her own reaction. "Sorry," she whispered, resting her head by Alex's chest.

"Nothing..." Alex sighed, pulling her close gently. "I'm just worried, I suppose..." He mumbled as he started to play with her hair again gently, careful not to hurt her.

((Gah, not good.... perhaps I should improve my writing so that you'd be interested more. But then, I need something to work with in order to write better...))

"You shouldn't be," the words escaped Megan's lips before she could stop them Jeez, I'm at it again, she thought, biting down on her lower lip nervously.

Alex smiled, brushing through her hair with his fingers. "It's my job, I suppose. I have to worry." He said softly, kissing her forehead affectionately.

"Yeah, yeah," Megan giggled. "Security is important around here!" She thought about her possible future in Alex's work, smiling at the idea of spending more time with him.

Alex rolled his eyes. "So, what did you do while I was away?" He asked, a curious light in his eyes. He smiled, still playing with her hair and enjoying the feel of the silky strands falling over his fingers.

"Nothing interesting," she replied thoughtfully. "I sat on the sofa..."
