"That," Megan said, pointing to his cheek. She winced at the memory of her fist meeting Alex's face. First and last time, she thought.

[Midnight Butterfly]

"...Oh..." Alex mumbled, remembering the betrayal he felt when it had happened. "Don't worry about it." He said, stroking her cheek. He let his hand drop.

[Kisiel]

"I'm sorry," Megan repeated, turningher head away from Alex. "I shouldn't have done that..." she shivered slightly, not liking how she had lost her temper just because of some pointless argument.

[Midnight Butterfly]

Alex turned her head towards him again. "I said don't worry." He said, his voice soft. "I'll heal." He said, holding her chin between his thumb and forefinger.

[Kisiel]

"You can't go to work with that," Megan said, her voice filled with hope. She didn't bother to pull away from Alex, despite her neck being in an uncomfortable position.

[Midnight Butterfly]

"I have to." Alex replied, sighing. "Sorry... But we need the money." He said softly, letting go of her. "I've got one shift so I'll be back by lunch time."

[Kisiel]

Megan's eyes saddened a little. "That's like... Ages!"
She dreaded the next attack, which would propably appear after Alex's dissapearance.

"I know... Shift finishes at eleven..." Alex said, scratching his head. "I don't know what to do..." He said, shutting his eyes as he thought.

[Kisiel]

"About what?" Megan asked, her tone of voice confused. She was thinking slowly, her mind still concerned about the flood of pain that would soon attack her.

[Midnight Butterfly]

"I don't want to leave you here, and you can't come with me." Alex said, sighing. "Boss'll kill me if I try sneak you in." He said, biting his lip.
