Megan watched as his chest lifted up and fell dows quivkly, her own doing the same, nearly matching in speed. Her eyes travelled towards Alex's, catching the flicker of colour. She listened to his sigh, not wanting to make the slightest sound herself.

Alex examined her features, his eyes darting around her face so he could memorise what she looked like. He let his gaze rest on her eyes as he looked into them, noting each and every shade of blue in them.

Megan flinched away, noticing something uncomfortable in Alex's stare.
It was this kind of need-to-remember glare, a kind that always made Megan worry her head off.
"What's wrong?" she asked, her own eyes full of concern.

"Hmm? Nothing." Alex replied, confused. He smiled reassuringly. "What made you think something was wrong?" He asked curiously.

"You're just looking at me... In a weird way," Megan explained, coming back to her previous position by Alex's side. Her head fell on his shoulder gently, and she let out a quiet sigh under her breath, unsure what else to say.

Alex bit his lip, thinking about her words. He slipped his arm over her shoulders, holding her with a smile on his face before he looked over at the clock. "Come on, it's time for dinner."

"Okay..." Megan replied thoughtfully, wondering what effect food will have on her this time.
She raised her head off Alex's shoulder, and turned it to face him.
Megan raised an eyebrow, curious if he knew what she was thinking about.

"I don't trust hospital food anymore... Shall we go out for dinner?" He asked, smiling sheepishly. He didn't know where they'd go but he didn't want to eat here.

"If you want," Megan said with a shrug.
She wasn't really bothered about where or what they would eat: it would make her sick anyway.

Alex smiled. "Alright... Well I feel like pasta... Think you can eat some soup at least?" He asked unsurely. "A couple of spoonfuls..."
