Megan was still to weak to speak, so she just nodded in silence.
A faint smile crawled onto her face.

Alex smiled, yawning slightly. "Hmm... Morning." He mumbled, stretching before taking her hand again.

She closed her eyes in response, still smiling.
The bandages were annoying her so much, that she was forced to open her eyes once more, and shooting daggers down at her arms, she let out a deep sigh.

Alex stood, kissing her forehead gently. "If I ate would you promise never to do something like that again?" He asked, looking at her.

"Yes," she replied sadly, forcing herself to open her lips. "I promise."

Alex smiled. "Then I'll be going to breakfast. You want anything?" He asked, polite but knowing the answer would be no. Thankfully, she was wired up to a drip for nutrients but hopefully she wouldn't pull it out.

Megan nodded again, not believing in what she had just done.
Her smile widened. Perhaps there was still hope for her...

Alex's smile widened to a grin. His eyes sparkled happily, not quie believing his eyes. "What do you want?" He asked, slightly amazed.

"I'm not that bothered," she replied, hoping that her voice sounded normal. "Anything really."
With another sigh, she pushed herself up, resting on her elbows.
She cocked her head to the side slightly, wondering what was on Alex's mind.

Alex smiled, nodding before leaving the room. He came back with a bowl of cereal and a plate of toast. He smiled, giving her the choice of breakfasts.
