"No... I don't. Not anymore..." Megan whispered, more tears running down her cheeks.
"Please! Do something!" she pleaded, finding some more strength.

[Midnight Butterfly]

Alex nodded. He called for a nurse, opening the door. After a few moments of yelling, a doctor arrived at the room and was immediately at Megan's side. He took her over to the bed, going to get the help of a nurse and some bandages.

Megan resisted the temptation to lash out at the man, and looked over at Alex instead.
"Don't let them do this to me again..." she whispered, breathing heavily.

[Midnight Butterfly]

"Do what? They're helping you... And this time I'll stay in the room to make sure you don't get hurt like last time." He said, taking her hand.

[Kisiel]

"Thank you," she said, letting Alex hold her limp hand.
Her head felt light, and she suddenly felt really weak.
"I love you..." Megan whispered, not caring who else heard her.
Then, everything in front of her eyes went black.

[Midnight Butterfly]

Alex's eyes widened as her eyes shut. She was hooked up to a respirator and his hands were quickly bandaged. He pulled away from the nurse that tried to pull him out of the room. He watched as the doctor rushed around, a heart monitor starting to beep slowly. He cursed. "Blood... We need a blood transfusion for AB positive." Alex immediately volunteered, holding out his forearm.

"I have B minus blood." He said, before a needle was inserted and he gave Megan his blood for the second time in his life.

The nurses and doctors rushed around Megan and Alex, transferring blood.
Soon, the needle was pulled out of Alex's arm, and Megan's hear started beating with a little less effort than before.
"She'll be alright," a nurse smiled, patting Alex on the back.

Alex smiled in relief. The doctor and nurses left, one checking every so often. He took Megan's hand again, sitting by the bed in a chair. He hated the fact that the bandages prevented him from feeling her palm against his. He watched her, relieved. After a while, he fell asleep, his head resting by their hands on the bed.

Three hours later, Megan's eyes slowly slid open.
She flinched, as something by her bed caught her eye.
Sighing in relief, she realised that it was Alex.
Not wanting to wake him up, Megan gently placed her other hand on the back of his head, feeling his hair.

Alex stirred a few minutes later, his eyes opening slowly. His other bandaged hand came up to take her other hand from his hair. "You're awake...!" He said softly, a happy smile on his face.
