Jamie was sat outside the great hall stroking the black cat that laid in his lap that was purring softly. He looked up as the door to the great hall opened, he crawled into the shadows but when he saw that it was his brother he relaxed "Hello Dom" He said and stroked the white cat that had walked up to him "You say that every year" Jamie said gloomily he leaned into Dom's shoulder and closed his eyes still stroking the two cats absentmindedly. Jamie let out s soft sigh at his brother's comment "Fine" he said quietly and lifted his head up when his brother got up and grabbed his hand and used it to pull himself up. "Thanks" he said quietly and entered the great hall alongside his brother but the two parted ways to head to their respective house table. Jamie sat down at the slytherin table and began picking at his food not really wanting to eat anything

Dom scanned the slytherin table for Jamie when he couldn't find him he did a 180 back out the doors with his white cat at his feet, Dom wasn't surprised to find him sitting alone in the shadows "Hey Jamie" He said in a softness only reserved for Jamie "Join everyone in the great hall, this year will be great" He said and sat down beside his today brother. He chuckled lightly "It's because it's true" He said "You better make some great friends this year since I won't be around next year" He added. Dom laughed softly "Now come on bro" He said and stood up and held out a hand to his brother pulling him up on his feet. Once in the great hall he scanned the room for anyone from the gryffindor quidditch team. He spotted Bella and with a grin walked over he caught her saying something about brooms and then lenox the hufflepuff seeker expand upon the subject as well "What is this talk of brooms and why am I not involved" He said jokingly as he came into range

After several minutes of socializing Drew made his way across the room to a group of his close male friends. As he came into earshot he heard the topic of conversation was the Yule ball. He cringed internally slightly. Only two days ago Drew had broken up with his non-magic girlfriend, now he would be expected to take someone to the ball. The precedent he had set with his female friends of going as "just friends" has always worked because people knew he had a girlfriend back home. Would he be able to find someone to go with him that wouldn't read into his invitation? .... As Drew followed this train of thoughts his friends continued to talk about which girl to ask. He was abruptly brought back to the conversation when a fellow Gryffindor elbowed him and said, "Hey Drew. I heard you broke up with your girlfriend. So what do you say you take Zatanna to the Yule ball? This time not just as friends."This comment elicited a round of laughter from his friends. Drew rolled his eyes and lightly shoved his friend back, "Shut up, there is nothing happening there." his friend chucked, "Are you serious? EVERYONE knows she has a crush on you." Drew paused and contemplated this statement. Because he had been in a relationship the entire time he had known Zatanna he had never considered that she could like him as more than just a friend. His cheeks became hot from the entire group staring at him so he laughed and brushed it off saying, "Sure man, whatever you say." Meanwhile his heart rate was not nearly reflecting the cool manner he was attempting to exude.

Once Ally had eaten all that her anxious stomach would keep down she got up quietly and slipped out of the Great Hall. She nearly missed a collision between the Gryffindor seeker and a fellow Ravenclaw. A sigh of relief escaped her lips, she was glad that she missed that exchange which would have set her entire face ablaze from the awkwardness. With her unnecessary amount of bracelets clinking against each other with every step she made her way back to the Ravenclaw common room. Ally thought to herself, might as well get a jump on my reading for tomorrow...everyone will be preoccupied so I will have the common room to myself. The girl circled through the hallways easily maneuvering to her home away from home. Once she was in her dormitory she took off her formal robes instead putting on an oversized sweater that was black and embroidered with the major constellations. Ally grabbed her books, quill, ink and parchment. Once she had returned to the common room she settled into a chair by the window, using the windowsill to hold her ink. She read over her divination textbook, taking notes occasionally of important quotes or thing she wished to look into further.

Hekate’s face was redder than the dark red cherries that rested in the fruit bowl nearby. kalaria had only just taken a bite out of the steak present on her plate when she heard and responded to the high pitched whiny voice of the slytherin. choking mockingly on the meat, her lips curling around it's savory taste. "sorry," she mumbled into the meal, her emerald gaze raising to glance upon cole linwood's face. it was exceptionally attractive but his personality was ugly and disgusting. he too was pure, but she by the forces of nature was possibly a "purer" witch than he was a wizard with a pureblood family. his arrogance was strong and rubbed the wrong way. inside, the thunderbird stirred softly within her. it chirped warnings in her ear and in turn, began producing electrical sparks to become visible around her, one even reaching out to strike cole's hands. the sounds of the electricity resembled a buzz of bees.

The stinging causing him to have a rather grimaced face, furrowing his eye brows he looked up at her and spat "I know what you are Bonebridge!"He hissed crossing his arms wincing at his arm. "If my father hears about this..." Cole liked to use his father as a 'threat' as the boys family was pretty popular amongst the ministry of magic both his parents and older siblings working there.

kalarais took once glance at the boy's rotten expression before she whipped out her wand and shouted a spell that would throw him three feet back. "get away from me cole linwood!" she shouted, her cry mixing with that of her thunderbird so it sounded too high pitched for her natural voice. the outburst caught the attention of the room. "you touch me or even look at me, you're as good as cursed." her threat had risen courage to rise up into her body. she had advanced and was now pressing her wandtip against his jugular. "don't you dare threaten me again you snivling little snake." for extra measure, she touched his wrist, knowing it her body would produce another electrical shock.

Coles pupils began to myosis much like a snake as he hissed out the threat again. Cole cast a spell that pushed her away from him not wanting to be shocked again,"Get away from me you freak." The word freak seemed to protrude a bit more than anything else he said he scoffed glaring at her. "It'd be a shame for something like that to happen." His dagger like pupils seemed to trace her now watching the way she moved carefully.

kalaria's gaze narrowed but also enlarged. she was plagued by two emotions, fear and anger. anger towards cole for having threatened to expose her at hogwarts. confined in it's magical walls, it was a beautiful and enchanting academy and was the only haven for her thunderbird identity. had cole discovered and chosen to expose her to the wizarding world, she was as good as dead and done for. she held her wand stifly, still aimed at the slytherin. she fought to control herself but it was hard. "i thought purebloods were above such childish behavior." she retorted with a swift tone, still on the ground after she had been hit by his defensive spell.
