As children, we sometimes wish that our lives could reflect fairy tales
and every so often we spot what could be the smallest of correlations
between fiction and reality. Often, we grow up to realise that dreaming
of becoming princesses or princes is unrealistic and move on. But there
are some who live among us who are in fact reflections of the fairy tale
characters that we loved in our youth. Of course, they don't know who
they are, or that they will most likely be drawn to their 'soulmate' in due
course, but that's all part of the fun. After all just because fate demands
that you end up with a person, doesn't necessarily mean that's how it has
to be.

You, unknowingly, are one of these embodiments, and along with the
others have been invited to attend Rosemore College.

The college is nothing if not extravagant, and is considered to be one of
the most prestigious schools in the country.Those who attend can study a
range of subjects, though it is possible for them to switch courses as and
when they please. There are a range of extra curricular activities that
students can participate in such as swimming, archery and horse riding.
The drama club is world renowned, and if students want to suggest new
after hour activities, they can do so through the student council president.

The Head of Rosemore believes that dorming allows students to bond and
teaches them the importance of communication and compromise. This
years rooming lists have been announced and are as follows:

RULES

Though the college has few rules, there are some which they insist are
followed.

i. Boys are not permitted to enter the girl's dorms, and vice versa.
ii. All parties and late night activities must end by midnight.
iii. Students should not engage in violence against one another.
iv. Consumption of alcohol is not permitted on site unless at college
functions.
v. Pets are not permitted on site.

The last few weeks had been stressful for Caledonia. Arranging moving everything to Rosemore, arguing with her parents, disagreements, fights...

It was an endless list, really. Caledonia paused, looking down at the black bear plush in her hands. 'Dewy' had been the soft toy she was given when she was born. She had never stayed the night anywhere without him. Smiling, Caledonia ran a hand over the bears still soft fur. Snapping back to reality, the black bear was placed, sitting on the pillows of Caledonia's bed. Having arrived earlier than her roommate, the redhead had taken it upon herself to unpack. She'd taken the bed next to the window, hoping her roommate wouldn't mind. So far, there was just one other box to unpack after this current one. Rummaging through the current box Caledonia pulled out a couple of posters and pictures, a few ornaments and finally, a picture frame containing a family picture. As much as she was angry at them, Caledonia knew she would miss her brothers and parents dearly. "At least they let me take Angus..." Speaking to herself the next picture frame contained a photo of herself on the back of a black horse.

It was one of the reasons Caledonia had arrived so early. She'd been required to settle in Angus and sort his paperwork out in the Rosemore stables before she could even move into her room. After placing the photo frames on her desk and sticking some of the other pictures and posters up, Caledonia stopped to look out the window. Rosemore was beautiful. The buildings had this presence about them. It was like something out of a fairytale. Yeah, a fairytale, Caledonia confirmed to herself. Her mind began to slip away into a daydream of her riding Angus through the woodland, galloping as fast as they could...
