You received an invitation to this school - The Legacy Academy for the Superpowered - at the end of last summer. Despite its name, it also accepts students without superhuman powers; according to the letter you received, it was designed specially for the children of masked heroes and villains. You tossed the idea back and forth for a long time, but in the end...you took the risk, and decided to go. After all, this could be a rare chance to meet other people like you, who know how it feels to have such a heavy legacy on your shoulders.
If only you'd known what you were really getting into.
When the day came, you went out to the address, and found a place that looked more like an old manor than a school. But, nevertheless, you took your first bold step inside, and...
You don't remember. All you recall is waking up in an empty classroom and reading a strange note telling you to hurry to the gym to meet your classmates. For some reason, all the windows were covered by ominous iron plates - not just in one room, but throughout the school. The feeling of dread in your heart only intensifies as you make your way to the gym, where you find fifteen other students, just as tense and confused as you are.
And then, out of nowhere, you're confronted by a strange-looking creature, like some sort of animated teddy bear with an eerie grin, who has a chilling announcement to make:
Welcome, welcome! It looks like all sixteen of you were just foolish enough to accept our invitation - so this will be perfect. As you may have noticed, you're trapped in here - so don't bother trying to escape through conventional means. Not even your superpowers will get you out of here; there's only one way to get out...and that's to kill another student. Yep, kill somebody and you can go free, back to your friends and family in the outside world! With ooonnneee little catch, of course - you can't get caught. Once a student is killed, all the remaining students will be given two hours to investigate, and once that time is up, a class trial will be held. During the trial, all you surviving students will present your evidence and make your arguments for who you think the killer is. If, at the end of the trial, you all manage to pinpoint the killer and vote correctly, then only the killer will be punished - or, shall we say, executed. But, if you all get it wrong, then the killer will go free...and all the innocent students will be executed!
Or, of course, you can refuse to participate...and live the rest of your natural lives inside this school. But, in these halls, under this roof, there are no heroes or villains. There are only those who kill, and those who wait to be killed.
This is a remake of this rp, which I made about a year ago. It never really got off the ground so I figured I'd try for round 2!
