Section I: Charms
Charms alter the spell caster's targets or other capabilities and qualities. These spells can last for a really long time if they are cast by a good witch or wizard.
Accio(Summoning Charm): Summons an object to the caster, potentially over a great distance
Aquamenti(Water-Making Spell): Produces a stream of water from the tip of the caster's wand.
Alarte Ascendare: Shoots the target high into the air.
Alohomora (Unlocking Charm): Used to unlock and open doors. It is possible to curse a door to counteract the spell.
Arania Exumai: Used to blast away all arachnids (spiders).
Arresto Momentum: Slows down the movement of an object.
Ascendio: Lifts the caster high into the air or, should he or she be underwater at the time, propels the caster to the surface.
Bladder Temporus: Makes you not have to get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night
Bombarda: Provokes small explosions. Bombarda Maxima is a higher level of this spell, which provokes large explosions
Carpe Retractum(Seize and Pull Charm): Produces a length of supernatural rope from the caster's wand that pulls the target to the caster.
Cistem Aperio: Opens chests and boxes
Colloportus(Locking Spell): Locks doors, and presumably anything else that can be locked.
Colovaria (Color Change Charm): Changes the color of and animal or object (e.g., the caster's hair)
Confundo(Condundus Charm): Causes the victim to become confused and befuddled.
Defodio(Gouging Spell): Allows the caster to gouge large chunks out of earth or stone.
Deprimo: Causes downward pressure on the target(e.g., a floor), which may blast a hole in the target.
Dicemonium: Instantly turns whole fruits and vegetables into finely chopped pieces.
Diffindo(Severing Charm): Precisely and accurately cuts something. It can cause death or injury if used inappropriately.
Dissendium: Opens secret passageways
Duro(Hardening Charm): Causes objects to harden
Engorgio(Engorgement Charm): Causes the target to swell, if used beyond a certain point, the target will violently explode.
Erecto: Used to set up structures(e.g., tents)
Everte Statum: A dueling spell; inflicts a short burst of pain upon the target, which can make him or her stumble.
Expecto Patronum: Creates a spirit- a Patronus- out of the caster's positive emotions. Commonly used against Dementors or Lethifolds.
Expelliarmus(Disarming Charm): Disarms the target (e.g., disarms a wizard by causing his/her wand to fly out of reach).
Fumos(Smokescreen Spell): Creates a cloud of smoke from the tip of the caster's wand.
Glacius(Freezing Spell): Conjures ice from the tip of the caster's wand. Can extinguish fires and create ice blocks.
Glisseo: Causes the steps of a staircase to flatten into a slide.
Gluttonus Maxima: Restocks your refrigerator with fresh food
Herbivicus: Causes flowers and plants to grow rapidly.
Illegibilus: Renders text unreadable.
Immobulus: Renders living things immobile.
Incendio (Fire-Making Spell): Produces fire.
Lacarnum Inflamarae: Sends a small ball of fire from the tip of the caster's wand, usually to ignite the target's cloak on fire.
Legilimens(Legilimency Spell): Allows the caster to delve into the mind of the victim(a.k.a Legilimency)
Lumos(Wand-Lighting Charm): Creates a narrow beam of light from the tip of the caster's wand.
Mobilicorpus: Levitates and moves bodies.
Muffliato: Fills people's ears with a buzzing sound to keep them from overhearing private conversations.
Obliviate(Memory Charm): Erases specific memories.
Obscuro: Causes a blindfold to appear over the target's eyes
Oculus Reparo(a Mending Charm): Repairs broken eyeglasses
Pack: Packs a trunk full of luggage.
Periculum: Causes red sparks to shoot out of the caster's wand.
Point Me(Four-Point Spell): Causes the caster's wand to behave as a compass and point north.
Prior Incantato: Causes an echo of the last spell cast by a wand.
Rennervate(Reviving Spell): Revives a stunned person.
Reparo: Used to repair broken or damaged objects.
Repello Muggletum(Muggle-Repelling Charm): Causes an area to be unseen of undesirable for Muggles to enter.
Rictusempra(Tickling Charm): Causes an extreme tickling sensation, making the target buckle with laughter.
Riddikulus: Repels a Bogart by forcing it to take the form of something amusing.
Scourgify(Scouring Charm): Used to clean something.
Silencio: Makes someone temporarily mute.
Sonorus: Amplifies the caster's voice.
Spongify(Softening Charm): Softens the target area or object, making it rubbery.
Stupefy(Stunning Spell): Stuns the victim.
Tarantallegra(Dancing Feet Spell): Makes the target's legs dance uncontrollably.
Tergeo: Siphons material from the target surface area(e.g., ink, dust, etc.).
Waddiwasi: Throws small objects through the air.
Wingardium Leviosa(Levitation Charm): Levitates and moves the target object
Wit Augmento: Will make you funny and charming in any situation
Section II: Healing Spells
Healing Spells improve the condition of living targets. If cast improperly, however, these spells can actually harm the target.
Anapneo: Clears a target's blocked airway.
Brackium Emendo: Used to heal broken bones.
Episkey: Used to heal minor injuries.
Ferula: Creates a bandage and splint for broken limbs.
Inducere Vomitus: Induces vomiting
Migrainio Relivium: Instantly relieves any stress or allergy induced migraine
Recollectus: Restores memories lost due to heavy drinking or memory charms
Visio Reparo: Corrects damaged vision
Vulnera Sanentur: Causes wounds and gashes to heal and any blood to return to the target.
Section III: Transfiguration Spells
Transfiguration spells alter targets' forms or appearance. These spells are divided into four different branches: transfigurations(altering the physical features of targets), vanishment(causing targets to vanish), conjuration(transfigures objects from thin air), and untransfiguration(counter-spells that reverse the effects of transfigurations). Animagus is also a type of transfiguration that effects only the caster, allowing him/her to transform into a specific type of animal.
Acifors: Changes the target into a bird.
Avis(Bird-Conjuring Charm): Produces a flock of birds to fly out from the caster's wand.
Bluebell Flames: Conjures waterproof blue flames that can be carries around in a container and released.
Draconifors: Causes the target to change into a dragon.
Ducklifors: Causes the target to change into a duck.
Epoximise: Adheres one object to another:
Evanesco(Vanishing Spell): Vanishes the target.
Herbifors: Causes flowers to grow from the victim.
Lapifors: Causes the target to change into a rabbit.
Orchideous: Makes a bouquet of flowers appear out of the tip of the caster's wand.
Macchiato: Turns any liquid into coffee.
Magnorus Striiate: Makes any object magnetic.
Piertotum Locomotor: Brings inanimate objects to life(e.g., statues and suits of armor). Casters can control the target's movements.
Serpensortia(Snake Summons Spell): Conjures a large snake to come forth from the tip of the casters wand and attack the target.
Tentaclifors: Causes the target's head to change into a tentacle.
Vera Verto: Transforms animals into water goblets.
Section IV: Counter-Spells
Counter-spells are spells the removes, inhibit, or negate the effects of other spells.
Aparecium: Forces invisible ink or other hidden messages to appear. Also possible to force other invisible things to appear.
Depulso: Prevents items from being summoned by Accio(the Summoning Charm)
Embargo: Temporarily shuts down a wands core, making it unable to produce magic
Finite Incantatem(General Counter-Spell): Counter-spell for general use.
Homorphus: Causes a transfigured object or Animagus to return to its normal shape.
Protego: A shield charm that creates a barrier around the caster to deflect other spells.
Nox(Wand-Extinguishing Charm): Puts out the light produced by Lumos(Wand-Light Charm)
Quietus: Causes a magically amplified voice to return back to normal.
Redactum Skullus: Shrinks the target's skull. Can be used to reverse the effects of the Engorgio Skullus hex.
Reducio(Shrinking Charm): Makes and enlarged object shrink. Can be used to reverse the effects of the Engorgement Charm
Section V: Jinxes
Jinxes are affiliated with dark magic. They are used mainly for amusement and do not majorly affect targets.
Cantis: Causes the target to burst uncontrollably into song.
Ebublio: Entraps the target in a large bubble that cannot be penetrated by physical force.
Entomorphis: Induces insect-like qualities upon target for a short period of time.
Flipendo(Knockback Jinx): Physically repels targets or knocks away objects.
Impedimenta: Trips, freezes, binds, or knocks back the target; does anything to keep the target away from the caster.
Incarcerous: Ties the target with ropes.
Inflatus: Inflates objects.
Langlock: Glues the target's tongue to the roof of their mouth.
Levicorpus: Lifts the target upside-down by their ankles.
Melofors: Encases the target's head in a pumpkin.
Oppugno: Causes objects or individuals to attack the target.
Orbis: Sucks the target into the ground.
Relashio: Causes the target to drop whatever object he or she is holding.
Ventus: Shoots a strong blast of wind from the tip of the caster's wand.
Section VI: Hexes
Hexes have a strong tie to dark magic. These spells generally cause some suffering and pain to the target, but the can also be used in a defensive capacity.
Anteoculatis: Causes the target to grow antlers.
Colloshoo(Stickfast Hex): Adheres the target's shoes to the ground.
Densaugeo(Tooth-Growing Spell): Causes the target's two front teeth to grow rapidly or regrow lost teeth.
Engorgio Skullus: Causes the target's skull to swell in size. The counter-spell to this is Redactum Skullus.
Mutatio Skullus: Mutates the target(e.g., the target grows extra heads).
Steleus: Causes the target to sneeze violently for a short while.
Titilando: Tickles and weakens the target.
Section VII: Curses
Curses are the worst kind of dark magic. Intended to affect the target in the worst way possible, usually in a way that harms him or her physically.
Calvorio(Hair Loss Curse): Causes the target's hair to fall out.
Confringo(Blasting Curse): Causes anything the spell hits to explode and burst into flames.
Expulso: Provokes a pressurized explosion with a burst of blue light.
Fiendfyre: A bewitched flame that seeks out targets.
Flagrante: Causes an object to be extremely hot when touched. An object bewitched with this curse can burn flesh and other material.
Geminio(Geminio Curse): Duplicates targets; creates exact replicas of targets.
Locomotor Mortis(Leg-Locker Curse): Binds the target's legs together.
Locomotor Wibbly(Jelly-Legs Curse): Causes the victim's legs to collapse.
Mimble Wimble(Tongue-Tying Curse): Binds the target's tongue to keep him or her from talking about a certain subject.
Morsmordre: Conjures the Dark Mark, the skull-and-serpent sign used by Voldemort and his Death Eaters.
Petrificus Totalus(Full Body-Bind Curse or Body-Freezing Spell): Paralyzes the target
Reducto: Breaks objects
Sectumsempra: Causes gashes on the target, as if he or she was slashed with an invisible sword.
Slugus Eructo(Slug-Vomiting Charm): Causes the target to vomit slugs for about ten minutes.
Section VIII: The Forbidden Section(Unforgivable Curses)

The three most powerful, dangerous, and sinister curses in the wizarding world are known as the Unforgivable Curses. Beware of these curses if they are thrust upon you, and do not perform them on other Muggles or wizards, lest you spend your life in Azkaban!
Imperio(Imperius Curse): Places the subject in a dream like state, in which the subject is subject to the will of the caster.
Crucio(Cruciatus Curse or Torture Curse): Causes great pain on the target, described as a thousand hot knives being driven into the target.
Avada Kedavra(Killing Curse): Causes instant death to the target, accompanied by a flash of green light.
