xxx( x andrew song... )
────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
role: the artist x tags: nicky boo & bby ki x location: the rooftop

a small breath of relief escapes his lungs as the masked man responds. drew should have expected it, it is a party after all. yet he is well aware that some people come to these parties because of pressure or, most of the times, just to get drunk. "they always do," he watches as the 'stranger' takes a sip of his drink, yet his eyes quickly avert to the night sky above them "choosing the rooftop was a smart move though, the night sky creates a better atmosphere than the event room". if there's anything that keeps him from regretting the decision to come at the party, it's definitely the view. if he gets bored of the party - which is pretty much guaranteed at this point - he will definitely find his way by one of the ledges and just spend the night observing the people below. ”anyways, how are you doing tonight?” he asks, offering a soft smile ”excited for the last party before school officially starts back up?”

as much as he would hate to admit it, drew flinches a bit as he feels his phone buzzing in his pocket. it's nothing much, just him not expecting the text that he got. yet, drew's face bears the widest smile when he reads it. for anyone wondering, andrew does have a special nickname for kian, it's 'little cuddle bear' and he has no regrets. < on the roof already, come find me c; > a tiny part of him wants to be a little mischievous and have kian guess where he is but he knows his little cuddle bear well enough to be certain it’s not a good idea. he is well aware of the fact that ki would have preferred to stay at home too. maybe they can sneak off at some point and just chill away from everyone. < i’m on the angel’s side, close to the bar, look for rainbow feathers > he adds quickly. drew slips his phone back into his pocket but keeps a hand on it to ensure a quick text back. he also scans the surrounding area as best as he can, though it is hard when he is unsure what kian is wearing - he actually expects the younger man to be wearing an angel’s outfit. ”oh... i’m sorry about that,” he says as his eyes lands back on the taller gentleman ”i was just helping someone locate me” he feels bad for possibly giving the impression that he would rather stare at his phone rather than socialise, especially since he is the one that stated this conversation.

      KAHLEO ARCHER
      xxxxxxx━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
xxxxxxxxxxxrole transfer. xxlocation hotel xx tags flora, finn xx ooc sorry ran out of muse lol
      xxxxxxx━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

he didn't hear a word out of her mouth after they entered the party because he was too busy taking in everything around. this was the first party he has been to that was this big and had this many people. his blue eyes looked at the fabric that hung from the ceiling and the twinkling lights that hung down with them. he watched as a bunch people practically ran past him with drinks in their hands. he almost wished he brought his camera with him so he could take pictures of everything but he decided it was to leave it at home because he would be heartbroken if anything ever happened to it.

the hotel was even bigger inside and he could tell whoever decorated for this event put way too much thought into it. the hotel was spilt right down the middle one side covered in all red and black and the other all covered in white and gold. they both hide identical decorations just in their assigned colors. they even had drinks on the menu that complimented both the saints and the sinners. he could see why this was an event they hold every year and he just wondered if they saved the decorations or came up with new ones every year.

his attention was grabbed by the blonde girl once more when she took his hand and started leading him toward the direction of the bar. he now wished he heard what she said but all he caught was the friend of her sentence about some guy named Finn. he then remembered reading that name on gossip girl and a moment later pieced together that he was the one who went broke so he was curious to see how the guy was taking the news.

he locked his fingers tighter around hers once they reached the bar secretly hoping she wouldn't pull her hand away anytime soon. when they reached the bar and realized who the finn guy was he seemed like he already drank half of the bar and he looked like a hot mess. he could tell by the suit he was wearing he had to come from wealth, well obviously not anymore according to the gossip girl blast. he had to be worried about what all his peers thought about him now being broke since he was drinking his life away here alone at this bar.

he already had her favorite drink memorized by the countless times they hung out so once she started talking to her friend he spoke to the man behind the counter and him their order before leaning against the counter. once they were ready he handed her drink and smiled. "please tell me this is your favorite drink and not one of the other girls I hooked up with this week." it was obviously a joke back to the comment she made earlier at her house and he knew she would know it was.

he figured he should probably introduce himself to her friend but at the same time, he had no interest in becoming his friend especially since he was stealing the attention of his date. he could see how worried flora was about this boy because it was all over her face since the text she got at her penthouse and he could easily piece together that it was from him. for flora's sake, he had to at least seem like he cared a little bit about his well being when in reality he could honestly care less. "finn right?" he was hoping he only zoned out for a few minutes and didn't miss any others things she might have mentioned to him once they entered. he debated giving the boy a fake name but he knew it would only confuse the free-spirt more since she knew his real name. "I'm kahleo. it's nice to finally meet you. flora told me so much about you." it was honestly a lie or maybe she could have mentioned once in a conversation but it was his way of trying to play nice and hopefully, she would catch on.

he sat down on a bar stool that was one away from still not letting go of his date's hand and he actually gently pulled her closer to him. he would be lying if he said he wasn't feeling their pregame at her house and in his limo. he looked up at her and took in her appearance once more. "I don't think I told you how beautiful you looked earlier at your house," he said with a grin. "So I wanted to tell you now that you look beautiful." any attention he could steal away from the hot mess dude across from him he wanted because it just meant they could leave him here to drink his life away quicker.

"are we staying here tonight?" he asked curiously since he remembered reading that the hotel rooms were open to everyone and he honestly had no clue what she had in mind for the rest of the night. "my driver is free to take us home whenever but I figured we should discuss it now before were both a few drinks in." it felt weird for him to mention having a driver since less than a couple months ago he was pretty much broke and now he had someone driving him around in a limo wherever he wanted to go.

he raised his glass to her pathetic excuse of cheers just because it gave him an excuse down his whole drink at once. something about her made him think he actually knew her but he didn't bother even trying to figure her out because she already bored him. it was like she was trying so hard to be a bad girl whether it was to keep his attention or it was something she did daily but in his mind, the worst thing she ever did was pick her horrible outfit and wear it out of the house. he was the playboy of the upper east side and not even he wanted to get with her in that outfit at least not tonight anyway.

he couldn't help but laugh a little when she mentioned he had to be from st. judes because of his attitude. "you guessed right." was all he said back which he was sure she would be pleased with herself for guessing right but he was sure everyone on this rooftop would have guessed he was from st. judes so hopefully she would be too impressed for getting it right the first time. "and if you think I have an attitude now you haven't seen anything yet." a simple shrug left his shoulders as he watched her take another sip.

when she finally turned to face him and the words that left her lips made him roll his eyes because he was already annoyed of her. "you don't think I haven't heard that a million times?" he said actually laughing now. "I hear that same line a million times a night." still at this moment he hasn't turned to face her as he continued to watch the people enter the party down below. he was looking for a certain someone but it seems they were going to show up even later than he did.

he pulled his phone out of his pocket and sent grant a text saying something along the times of come find me and to save him from dying of boredom before slipping his phone back into the pockets of his pants. if anyone could find him easily it would be the gambler. he was sure he would be able to spot him by his hair or how he was standing which he would be able to do the same with him. the two were a confusing pair because no one knew if they were actually dating or not? they were, of course, hooking up almost weekly and were always at each other's side just by a quick text but then again everything was also on the down low because they would both be killed if grants father found out and emery wasn't looking to die anytime soon. they both threatened to kill anyone who even dared to shoot a tip to gossip girl about them and he had no problem doing so.

his attention was grabbed by the girl when she spoke once more saying she was surprised he hadn't figured out who she was yet and he sighed before finally turning to face her. "it's because I have no interest and finding out who you care." he was finally bored of her presence. "I never really invited you to follow me and I have no interest in you at all." of course he was being very cold with his words but that was just how he was. "you are like every other girl at this party and like every party, I go to." he didn't want to make a scene this soon into the party not when he wasn't trying to get kicked out not yet anyway.

"you wore that outfit because you came here with the intent to sleep around." at this point he wasn't going to bother holding back because obviously, this wasn't going to go away until he was. " and it's sad that you haven't realized that ones interested." he set his glass down on the edge of the roof before putting his full attention on here. "since you want me to guess who you are so bad then fine I will if it will make you leave because I can't have you around when the person I'm waiting for comes. they wouldn't like it." of course he knew grant wouldn't have a care in the world but she didn't need to know that.

"by your terrible choice in attire, I'm going to assume you're high up on the hierarchy but not high enough to be the queen bee since you followed the first guy who gave you a smile to the rooftop of the hotel." he knew not even kory was that lazy with who she tried to get with and definitely wouldn't wear this outfit out in public. "you either think too highly of yourself or are just fishing for any compliment you can get so you decided to wear the most revealing thing in your closet to this party hoping to get guys to be all over you." he pretended to search around for guys wanting her before looking at her and smirking. " and look at that there's none in sight."

"I definitely know you aren't the free-spirit because you showed up solo and I know for a fact she will have a date following her around everywhere tonight." speaking of flora and leo he wondered they were at but knowing them they were already downstairs eating somewhere and he almost shook his head at the thought. "not to mention she has more self-worth to show up in that outfit." he was just checking through the list of girls at Constance. it was honestly pretty sad how he knew literally all of them. "im going to assume you have parents that don't care about you and buy your love with money so my last guess is going to be you're one of the minions and I can honestly care less which one you are so please don't bother telling me."

he knew she was going to try and save herself from humiliation because at this point there were eyes on them and all he did was smirk pleased with what he had to say. "now im going to ask you to politely walk away and save yourself from complete humiliation before everyone actually knows who you are." but knowing this girl she was going to have something to say back and the next words out of his mouth weren't going to be as nice as his last ones if you could even call them that.

      FINNEGAN ROSE "finn" the clown

tags; flo and leo // ment; none // s.o; hetero // age; 18
xxxfinnegan rose opened his phone when he heard a ding and he read the texts. he shrugged and drank another few shots, leaning far back in his chair. he felt himself getting more and more drunk. he looked down at the floor, his eyes half closed. he dozed off a little, his mind wandering. his head snapped up when he heard a familiar voice. he saw his beautiful friend accompanied by a handsome guy and they were.. holding hands. "flo?? is that youuuu?" finn half-whispered, his voice becoming louder and quieter in random points. "that gossip girl post accused me of being a drunk and told eeeeveryybody that my family is broke, so im drinking to prove her right." he said, leaning towards flo. he almost fell out of his chair and he stood up. he stumbled around flo and leo, giggling as he looked at them. leo introduced him and finn held his hand out to shake the other guys. he held his composure for a bit but then burst into a laughing fit. leo then proceeded to compliment flora and finn raised his eyebrows. "ooo are you two a thing?? wow. thats absolutely fantastic. my best friend has a boy!! i'm proud of you. and you do look smoking hot, flo." he touched his two pointer fingers together when he said a 'thing" then tapped leo on the face. "she's a keeper, buddy. flo's the best, you better not hurt her or else there will be some serious issues kiddo." he covered one side of his face away from flo so he was only speaking to leo. flo could definitely hear what finn was saying but he didnt care. he tried to make himself look bigger and tougher but leo was definitely the better opponent here.
xxxsomething clicked in his mind, and he looked at the two of them together for a second. something churned in his stomach. his fist clenched, his jaw locking in place. he almost went into a fit of jealous rage, but he controlled himself. someone from the bar brought him the water he ordered, and he chugged it down, water spilling from his chin. he gasped as he realized what he'd done. there was water all over his suit that he'd saved his money on to rent. he cursed to himself, grabbing a handful of napkins to dry it off. he put the napkins on the table, realizing that they didnt help. now he'd have to save up even more money to get it dry cleaned. finn sat back down, sort of ignoring the two people in front of him. his stomach turned, and he felt a little puke come up. he took an unused napkin and spit into it, grunting. he tilted his head back, staring up into the dark sky. he took deep breaths to control himself and regained his composure, turning his attention back to the two. "woops. sorry guys. it looks like i am drunk and ive spilled water all over my best suit that i rented. my dad is gonna be soooo mad at me." he said, laughing a little. the situation wasnt funny, but for some reason, he found himself laughing his head off.

      VIOLET HAYES "vio" the athlete

xxxviolet hayes sipped on her drink, looking around to see if she could spot anyone she recognized. she looked down at the floor for a split second but looked up when a gorgeous girl came up to her. she smiled brightly as the lady complimented her. vio recognized her voice, but she couldn't seem to put a finger on who it was. "thank you! you look amazing as well. i mean, wow!" she said, examining the girl's dress. she gasped in amazement. "this dress is amazing. you look so good in it!" she noted, her mouth in sort of an 'o' shape. violet started to notice more details. something about her seemed familiar but violet couldnt quite put her finger on it. her brows furrowed as she tried to figure it out. was it illegal to ask? she could not figure it out. she was usually pretty smart, she got all a's in class and stuff but she guessed that was worthless in figuring out a girl in a mask. violet combed through her brain, this had to be one of her friends.

--- omg im so sorry this one is so much shorter than finn's i got writers block like midway through writing it

    SAFFRON ✰ WYNTERS!
xxx── xthe bookworm // seventeen // hetero // location; the masquerade // tags; open !

an ivory hued dress hung from a hanger in front of her closet doors, saffron's glittery
eyes gazed upon the dress and observed it's tiniest details, studying the dress for any
imperfections. with her head slightly tilted, the girl noticed a few frays from the lace
sleeves and a jewel or two missing from the skirt. a small sigh escaped from her young
woman's mouth as she immediately took it off the hanger and rushed to her sewing ma
chine, placing the dress on the table. she quickly fixed the missing gems from the dress
and snipped a couple extra pieces fabric from the arm, saffron then slipped into the fit
ted dress & she tried it on for the final time, observing the dress once more as she twirl
ed around in the mirror for a full view. a happy girl flashed a smile back at the reflection,
saffron was quite pleased with her creation. although saf had more than enough money to
splurge on an expensive ball gown, she chose to hand make her own as attending the party
was a last minute decision and getting a dress tailored from someone else would've took ev
en longer than what she was already paying for─plus, she'd happily accept the bonus points
for originality anyway! saffron sat at her vanity and touched up her make up before leaving
for the ball, she applied more lipgloss and hair-sprayed a couple baby hairs down. it seemed
as though saffron was looking at a completely different person, she wasn't used to this decke
d out version of herself as her wardrobe consisted of mostly oversized sweaters and jeans but
she enjoyed it nonetheless. before heading out to her cab which awaited for her outside, she
slipped on a pair of high heels and grabbed her mask which was decked out with sparkles and
feathers. saf scurried to her ride and slid into the back seat, the chauffeur already knew whe
re she needed to be. butterflies fluttered inside the young woman's stomach as the limo appr
oached the extravagant party, she couldn't tell if it was excitement or nervousness that filled
her existence at that moment but she ignored the feeling and entered the building. the room
was quite dark as she scrambled along the walls, avoiding bumping into anyone, especially the
people with drinks. "so they can pay for this luxurious shindig but not their electric bill?" saffr
on thought, clutching onto her purse, which had an extra lipgloss and a mini purfume and other
miscellaneous things within it. she made her way to the bar, which most of the students gravita
te towards, and sat at a unattended seat. saffron wasn't much of an alcohol person, so she just
ordered a sparkling water. she sipped the carbonated drink out of a slender straw, saffron exam
ined the room and played a game she made up by herself on the spot called, "who's behind that
mask", a game which was self-explanatory. saf played the game until she got bored and strayed
her half-empty glass at the bar while she went out to dance in the middle of the floor, where st
udents ruthlessly partied as she dodged frantic waving hands and wild legs. she sang along with
the song that was booming from the speakers, which blended in the noisy conversationalists and
the party-goers who were also loudly singing along. saffron didn't mind being so vivacious tonight
as she usually wasn't because of her shy demeanor but since no one could really tell who she was,
it was easy acting like her true self.

Nicholas Womack
18|Male|Pretty Boy
Location: Masquerade
Tagged: Andrew
He set his drink down onto the bar-top, once he'd finished taking a sip - pleased that it had been made with a dairy-free liquor - and then he also looked up at sky. He absolutely agreed - and the fact that he loved the stars anyway was a bonus. There was also a very slight chill in the air, which was perfect for ensuring that guests would not end up getting too hot - which would more than likely happen if they were inside, especially considering the masks that everyone wore. At least, it would happen for Nicholas, and he was sure it was the same for at least a few other students. "Yes, it does. I have to give kudos to the organisers for the decision - it's very smart." Nicholas agreed verbally, as he glanced back towards the other student, his accent soft, yet noticeable. Then, he shrugged slightly in response to the question. "I'm fine. Though I'm not usually one to, er... 'party'. Tomorrow will be quite interesting, though, I think..." He said, partially referring to the Gossip Girl blog post that had been posted just minute prior to the 'stranger' approaching him for a conversation.

Nicholas has to bite his lip slightly as the other student's attention is drawn towards his phone. It was understandable that he'd want to respond a text that he'd just gotten, but it did give Nicholas that sense that he was about to be abandoned, or socially 'rejected' because there was something or someone more interesting to focus on. It was a difficult feeling to fight or ignore, so he instead took another sip of his drink while he waited, and glanced across the rooftop, where there seemed to be already some sort of mess happening with a couple of students. The fact that they were wearing masks and also a fairly decent distance away meant that he couldn't tell exactly what was happening, what was said or even being given a clue as to who was involved.
Nicholas refocuses back towards the other student when he is finished messaging... whoever he was messaging, and he waves a hand slightly, a little dismissively. "No, no, it's okay." He insists, though he was only half-telling the truth. Then, he raised an eyebrow slightly - even though it couldn't be seen - and asked, "Isn't the idea to not know who anyone is?" There's amusement in his tone, and he resolves that even if his identity could be guessed by others, he wasn't going to reveal himself willingly.

𝐆 𝐑 𝐀 𝐍 𝐓 ! !
════════════════════════════════════
xx【 ‶ cause i'm mr. brightside ″ 】
xxxxx「 eighteen 」「 gambler 」「 tagged: emery, saffron, taylor 」

Another day on the Upper East Side, another event. Another event, another promise of drama, and another promise of a Gossip Girl post. The gambler had almost found himself yearning for a typical house party at times, like the ones he'd seen in the movies. Before high school, he'd always imagined that kegs, flannels, and lots of trap music in some dingy basement would be the norm. And if it was a typical house party, that would also probably mean no Gossip Girl. Of course, this was never the case in this land of luxury- a high school party for the students of Constance and St. Jude's wouldn't dare go within twenty feet of that typicality, and some anonymous blogger was there to report all of it.

But that's okay. Grant didn't need a beer keg to get drunk, he didn't even need to wait for the party to start. He'd spent most of his day working the Blackjack table, then hopped over to another casino to risk some of the house's winnings. The staff of the place had come to know him well by now- their highest roller, but the person they lost the most money to- and started preparing drinks the second he'd walked into the door. Just simple glasses of scotch, but after a good number of them, the buzz was strong. Even inebriated, the gambler managed to triple the money he'd come in with. But when one is winning, the losers tend to get a little upset. On this particular night, some tourist that had lost his funds three times over, thought it a good idea to begin harassing our favorite high roller. Started with typical trash talk, then trying to persuade him to stop playing, then saying he was cheating, then literally grabbing his chips away. Needless to say, Grant wasn't pleased. After the tourist's grubby hands grabbed up about one hundred dollars, the dark-haired student slowly turned to face him, offering a sinister smile in his direction. There was a chilling quality to his voice as he calmly requested, "Put the chips back on the table. I'm sure you don't want any trouble."

Apparently, the prick did. He threw one of the chips back at Grant's face, then proceeded to pocket the rest. He moved to take a swing, but all too swiftly, the man's fist was intercepted. He stared at Grant in shock for a solid second, who simply shrugged before slugging him across the face. In line with his obvious pathetic nature, the dude immediately crumpled to the ground. The winner of the short-lived fight simply stooped down and reached into the unconscious man's pocket, taking his winnings back. He returned to the table, giving a quick nod of adieu to the stunned dealers and patrons. "Have a good night."

The party was starting only thirty minutes after his departure, so the booze was still fairly fresh in his system when Grant arrived. Not to mention, he'd grabbed some more from his family's liquor cabinet. So, other than his alcohol-soaked breath and freshly split knuckles on his right hand, the gambler's appearance was pristine. He adorned himself in a suit fit for angels, with a light blue and white mask to match. Was he an angel, by any means? The grubby guy from the casino would probably beg to differ. Oh well.

The party was already alive and well when the brunet arrived. The sides of heaven and hell were very distinct and well-adorned, and even he was impressed with the design of it all. Still, though, he never understood why this much effort was put into events for a ton of drunk high schoolers that would barely remember the people they talked to, let alone the scenery. But hey, if the alcohol was as good as the decorations, you wouldn't catch him complaining. And therefore, he was pretty much making a straight shot for the bar. Of course, though, the man got caught up in the crowd and enjoyed every second of it. Everyone seemed more at ease, more alive with their disguises of anonymity. It really was a fun environment to be in. Even the gambler found himself briefly caught up in it, beginning to dance as he moved through the crowd.

And then, a flash of blonde hair caught his attention. An ivory dress, lace sleeves, the flash of jewels- it was a gorgeous sight, that was for sure. But moreso, it was almost a familiar sight. Something about her was familiar, something about her compelled Grant away from his focus on the bar. He made his way over to her, laughing as he noticed her singing along to the music. This girl, in particular, was letting loose. As a way of introducing himself, he took her right hand and twirled her around once, then joining in on her singing. His mind was rushing to figure out just who she was- he was sure he knew her, but with this lighting and the masks, it was a little more difficult to discern a friend from an enemy. "I'm more of a rock and roll person myself," he commented on the music with a shrug. Nevertheless, he'd have the time of his life- and since he knew the songs, he'd sing along. "So what makes you an angel? Or are you playing pretend for the night?"

At some point in this conversation, Grant felt his phone buzz. Instinctively, he pulled it from his pocket to see a message from Emerson, a small challenge to find him. The smallest of smirks spread across his face and he tucked his phone away without a response, looking back up to the angelic blonde. "Help me on a scavenger hunt?" He knew the best ways to look for the guy. "Look for the best-dressed man here- besides myself, of course- and / or the most offended looking girl." And believe it or not, the task was easy. He found the two items together, as expected. What could he say? Grant knew Emery well. He led the way toward the pair, observing the way they seemed standoffish towards each other. With a smile as charming as ever, he exchanged his introductory words. Looking to Emery in reference to Taylor, he inquired, "Is this the boredom I have the pleasure of saving you from?" He extended a hand to the masked girl. "Pleasure to meet you, Boredom." His voice was as genuine and warm as could be, well in contrast to the words he spoke. He stepped to the side to allow his other masked friend to be known. "And this would be my new favorite angel."

xxxxxx──── ᴋɪᴀɴ ʜᴡᴀɴɢ ────────────────
xxxxxxxx[17] . [the geek] . [rooftop] . [big yikes] . [drew, saf, nich] .
xxxxxx───────────────────────────────
xxbeing off to the side, kian had a relatively good view of everything happening across the roof, and honestly his observant nature was thriving. on his way up he'd already mapped out all of the exits and now it was more or less of a waiting game to see when he'd make use of one of them. the side of the roof that he was currently by was relatively abandoned, a few people off to his sides talking or taking calls, but what really caught his attention was two figures opposite him who seemed to be talking(?). from the defensiveness of their body language he couldn't exactly say it was a pleasant conversation but he also couldn't make out what they were saying because the music drowned out the conversation, but by the looks of it they were drawing the attention of others regardless of that fact.
xxless than an hour into the party and there was already drama, not that ki was surprised. turning back towards the rooftop, he fished his phone out of his chest pocket to see a text from drew. he snorted when he saw his choice of emoticon but smiled to himself nonetheless. how was he supposed to find anybody among all these people? glancing up from his phone, he scanned the crowd again but in the low lighting and constantly shifting crowd, it was almost impossible. but of course, drew seemed to read his mind and sent him a second text giving him a better idea of where to find him. thank god. swirling the shot he had been holding on to, ki tipped it back, fingers thrumming on the side of the glass.
xxdrew was by the bar, flo was with her date, so he only had one other person who he wanted to check up on. pulling up the contact 'book queen', ki sent out a text to saf, his fingers hovering over the keyboard as he looked over the crowd once more. (if you're already here (and bored) im going to be by the bar with drew ^^). he honestly had no idea where she could be but if she hadn't found someone to help here get through this whirlpool of drama, she'd find him. (look for someone whos lookin devishly handsome c;) he sent a moment after with a small laugh before putting his phone away. why were these two friends with him when the crappiest jokes made him laugh? he didnt know.
xxpushing off the wall, he weaved between all the people and made his way towards the bar. the minute the bar was within eyesight, he spotted the wings drew told him of- leave it to drew to have the coolest accessories to his already great attire. coming up behind him, he wrapped his arms around the male, standing on his tippy toes to put his chin on his taller friends shoulder, "boo" he said with a laugh afterwards. coming around to his front, kian beamed the older boy a smile. "you look great," he said with a nod. turning to look at the other male seated across from drew, kian's smile stayed, "i would introduce myself but that kinda defeats the purpose of the masks," he said with a laugh, "i love yours by the way."

xxx( x andrew song... )
────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
role: the artist x tags: nicky boo & bby ki x location: the rooftop

joy is practically radiating off of andrew as the taller man agrees with him. he is glad to have found someone who shares the same opinion as him, even if it’s just about something as silly as decor. he takes a quick sip of his drink he listens to the masked man speak. “i can relate,” he admits when the man mentions not being one to party “but maybe we can find a way to enjoy it anyways”. andrew tells himself that every year, and every year he ends up seating on the sidelines and eating all the cake he can get his hands on. his head hangs to the side as if he is questioning what was said, yet his eyes widen and his mouth makes an ‘o’ shape as he realises what the guy meant. “ah yes, the day after the masquerade is always brings something to the surface...” one would expect andrew to be worried about the gossip girl posts but, after having to see them so often, he has been desensitised to them “i think it’s already happening...” he soon added, head tilting towards the small group of people across the rooftop. “still, i don’t think you should worry,” he says, his toothy grin returning right before he adds “unless you plan to start a bar fight”.

drew does realise that the stranger is being humorous but he still pauses a little to think. it’s true, the whole point of a masquerade is to not know who anyone is but he knows that he and kian won’t be able to last the night without each other. it’s best they just meet up from the beginning to avoid panicking later. “you got me there,” he giggles a little, eyes focusing down at his drink “but this.... this is a special case”. he takes a few more sips of his drink, realising he is more than half-way done with it. his eyes still wonder around the room, looking for the angel he expects to show up soon. “it’s okay, i promise he‘s nice,” he assures “certainly doesn’t bite”.

a second giggle escapes his mouth as he feels arms wrapping around his waist. his smile widens - if it’s even possible - as he leans his his head against kian’s. its probably not that obvious to the other two, but andrew forgets how to breathe for a second. “you look great too,” he finally says, finishing off his drink and slamming his glass on the table a little too hard. drew cringes at the sound but he’s thankful for the fact that he didn’t break anything. “a sinner though? i didn’t expect that,” he adds, trying to prevent either of the two from asking about the glass. “the fact that we can’t introduce ourselves is the silly part about masquerades,” he honestly doesn’t know where he is going with such an obvious statement but it’s too late to take it back “i mean, what are you supposed to call the person all night? hey you? we should at least have code names or something”.

The brunette perched her lips and developed into a smile, surprisingly. Looking far too sweet to have a sour expression, it didn't suit her anyway. Frowning brings on premature wrinkles, that's what her mother would say, there would always be pressure on her to look flawless. Perfect hair, perfect nails, perfect teeth. Money was never an issue. Johnston women, some of the most famous socialites on the Upper East side; Of course appearance was paramount to them.

She parted her hair over her right shoulder as he spoke, just observing. Not showing any real reaction to the boy who was clearly trying to offend her. A slight giggle did escape her lips although, he talked the talk but she was convinced he didn't walk the walk. Perhaps she found the situation humorous?

"You're wrong," smile turning into a devious Cheshire Cat grin. "I'm not like every other girl." Her words breathed certainty. At that moment a waiter had brought her over another Cosmopolitan, he had seen her glass was empty. Wouldn't want to upset an investor's daughter. "Save me the bull**** my daddy buys my love cliché, you're wrong again. " Her words were so passive aggressive and yet her tone was almost, but just short of flirtatious. She took the glass of the waiter's tray, took a sip, for such a small girl she held her drinks well. They didn't seem to hit her at all. She waved him away with a thank you, her manners, to strangers at least, were deceivingly impeccable.

"I didn't come here to sleep around either," she replied after a while, never too quick to answer. She wore what she wore because, quite frankly, she liked the attention, husbands drooling and their wives tutting. Boys staring and girls watching. It was empowering. Although she would be equally as confident in a dress that covered her ankles arm and neck. The one thing that did slightly bother her was his sexist comments. From then on she knew exactly who he was and so much clicked into place. "Being slut shamed by the playboy," she laughed, pearly white veneers gleaming in whatever light reflected from the dull setting. "How ironic," eyes lit up as if it was the most amusing thing in the world, one finger held up to her temple.

For someone so good at reading people, it seems he had made too many wrong assumptions. Grant had began to approach at this stage, she had noticed him in her peripheral vision. Emerson seemed very concerned about Taylor embarrassing herself, by people knowing who she was but the only reason for her to be embarrassed was the scene that had just been created by the playboy.

One hand reached behind her head, releasing the lace bow that held her mask in place, she let it dangle for a few seconds in front of her face while looking at Emerson, before holding the frame of the mask in her two hands down by her waist, her eyes following. "I may no longer be wearing a mask, and yet you still don't know who I am." The figurative meaning is what she meant, not literal.

At this point Grant was standing with the pair, able to hear what they were now saying. She was just about to leave to find her better taste in company when the gambler began to speak. She looked at his outstretched hand, and back up to him. Completely ignoring the gesture as she didn't appreciate the comment. The girl behind him seemed quiet, but the boy she was with appeared loud and confident, it was easy to be shadowed by him.

chuckling, kory scooped her cape underneath her dress. her legs were crossed as she looked at the crowd. everyone was communicating; she knew there would be drama at any second. the queen bee returned her attention back to the blonde. "thank you so much, she lifted her cape to cover her arms. "it took a while to pick out the best dress, but it seems that i have some competition." kory glanced at rest of the ladies at the masqurade party. when a waiter walked over with drinks, kory took two before sitting one on the small table in front of them. "so, what made your choose heaven tonight? i mean, i'm sure half of these people aren't as innocent as they think," she said before taking a sip from the tiny glass.

thinking about who weren't so innocent, she thought of emerson, the upper east side playboy. she knew he was around, probably offending someone. kory watched a small group forming. there was a brunette girl in a ridiculous outfit, something not fit for a upper eastsider. a tall, brunette boy in a charming suit. the boy seemed to be ignoring the girl, which made her laugh. it wasn't long before another pair joined the group. the boy was dressed up as cinderella, his suit was light blue. it matched heaven perfectly; the blonde girl also helped, but she couldn't see the girl as good. "they look like the happy breakfast club, don't they?" kory asked the mystery girl next to her. she wished she knew who the girl was, it would the conversation more interesting.

the queen bee stood up from her feet, and held her hand out to the girl, "c'mon, you need some action. lets go dance; i'll probably trip up, but who cares?" kory offered. she needed someone to dance with, and this girl was the only person she spoken to.

the hellkite of constance billard eighteen party taggs: taylor

andy relaxed back into the living room sofa as she watched her mother type on the computer. she was already set for the masqurade, but she didn't actually feel like going. it was her mom who needed her to get out of the house, even for a few hours. the sight of seeing everyone dressed up made her gag. "do i really need to go? the two idiots will be home any minute. i can just hang with them, ma!" the girl glanced over at her mother, who was still attached to the laptop. "d'andera, your brothers will be exhausted, so will your father. just get out and go the to party, please?" the older woman glared at her daughter. d'andera scoffed and jumped up off the sofa; she wanted to see her brothers and father, who were arriving from d.c. but, she couldn't argue with her mother, the woman still scared her regardless of her age.

the hellkite grabbed her keys from the table, closed the door behind her, and headed off to the garage. the automatic light flashed on showing rather expensive cars her mother purchased. some were her brothers, but hers were far in the back. her black lamborghini was indeed her favorite car yet, it's suicide doors made her love it even more. andy opened the car door and got inside; the car started up when she placed in the keys. it wasn't long until she got to the party, her masqurade mask covering up her face. her hair pulled back into a sleek ponytail with her bangs hanging above her eyelids. her high-low, red velvet blazer reached to her hips. she added it with a black lace cami underneath and a pair of black pointe pants. her sneakers, rarely worn, matched the hell aesthetic of her outfit.

when she handed the valet her keys, she threatened him about keeping it safe. soon, she hustled up to the party. it was nicely designed, but she rather do something better than playing the 'who are you' game. the hellkite travelled over to the bar, ordering a drink. she shouldn't be drinking since she knew her father was very suspicious. she held the glass in hand as she turned around to face the crowd. her eyes surveyed a small group, before seeing a particular person - taylor. smirking, andy glanced at her drink and stood up from her seat. "you must've not been to a masqurade before. number one rule, never show your..." d'andera started as she held the drink over taylor's head. she titled the glass until all of the drink was poured on the minion, "face." the hellkite held the glass up straight before crossing her arms. "now you have an excuse to fix that hideous outfit."
