Background

There are those among us that are born with extraordinary abilities. They allow these people to do things such as read minds or control the earth beneath their feet. Their appearance may even be altered to better suit their abilities. Unfortunately, this sets them apart from those around them and puts them at odds with their peers. But that does not mean that they are outcasts for their whole life. There is somewhere for these Mutants to go.

That place is known as Xavier’s Institute For Higher Learning. It is where young Mutants can go to learn control of their powers and meet people just like them. It is a safe place for Mutants to go when the world seems to be against them. However, learning control is not all they do. They must learn to work as a team and to face any enemy that may come their way.

Unfortunately for them, things will not always be so calm. While they train and prepare for their future, organizations and other Mutants prepare their attacks on the school and mutantkind. They may prepare for any little thing but it will never prepare them for what the world has in store for them. May fate smile upon these young Mutants

Team Information

General

Each Team is made up of six students with a member of the X-Men training them on certain occasions. For the most part, they are left to their own devices. The teams share a dorm room but certain exceptions can be made. A team leader is chosen by the team after two weeks. Teams can be altered at any time and without warning

Missions + Training Sessions

f a mission is assigned, the whole team is expected to go out. However, exceptions can be made if students are ill or injured. Depending on the type and danger level, a member of the X-Men may go with them

Training sessions are held on mansion grounds or in the Danger Room. Depending on the training session, the whole team may be required to attend. Like missions, exceptions can be made for the ill and injured. Any and all tests are held in the Danger Room

Classes

Like all students they must attend their classes. They may be dismissed from them for health reasons, training sessions and missions.

Team Bonding

They will be required to have at least one team bonding exercise a week in order to ensure that they will trust each other. If there are problems, they may be required to attend more. In a worse case scenario, the members may be assigned to different teams. All team members are required to attend unless ill or injured

Rules

-Follow all Chicken Smoothie rules
-All bios MUST be posted in the Discussion Thread
-All characters must be 16 or older in order to be placed in a team
-Make sure you List a team otherwise the character may be randomly placed
-Relationships can be left open
-It is requested that you do not abuse your characters powers
-You are allowed a maximum of three powers. You may also be asked to change them if they are deemed too powerful
-You may add any information you feel is necessary to the bio
-Romance is allowed
-Respect each other
-Contact me through PM if any issues arise and I will do my best to resolve them
-If it becomes a lot of back and forth, please stop and give others a chance to reply. If this becomes a constant issue, a rule may be added
-You are not allowed to play any canon characters
-Keep all OOC chatter in the discussion thread unless it is absolutely important
-Have a question? Feel free to ask
-You can play as many characters as you can handle
-Rules will be added as necessary

Marc hummed a gentle and almost sweet tune as he tended to some of the plants that grew around the school. He preferred plants to people. Plants could not judge and plants certainly couldn’t kick you out of the house for being a mutant. He was supposed to be meeting his team in the dorm room they were assigned to but it was easy to lose track of time when you really don’t want to go. The mutant wanted to get as much time as he could in before he had to hurry off. There was quite a bit of dirt of his body from being in the flowerbeds and planters. He paused for a moment, tried to remember the time then hugged. “I suppose I better get going...” Murmured Marc as he straightened up. He whispered a soft farewell to his plants then began to head towards the mansion.

Darin had made snacks for his meeting with his team. They weren’t the best and some were kinda burnt but he hoped they still liked them. He made a face at them. “Geeze... I should take some lessons...” He set the current batch of cookie shaped lumps aside to cool then put another one in. Darin took some dough from the bowl and placed it in his hand. He focused for a moment, warming his hand slightly just trying to see if he could cook the cookie and not burn it. His explanation for this was that it was good for gaining control over his powers. Unfortunately, the cookie ignited and became nothing more than a black lump. “Dang it!” Stated the fire manipulator before tossing the cookie onto the tray with the others that had finished. He felt angry with himself for being a terrible cook and terrible with his powers.

”Toss it over here!” Called the woman as she raised her hands above her head. She was playing a game of frisbee with some of the younger kids and she was having quite a bit of fun. Eloise intended to head inside once the game was finished. Or they decided they didn’t wish to play anymore. The red disk was tossed in her direction and she hurried to catch it before the other team got it. She grinned when she caught it and hurried to find and open person. The woman spotted someone then threw the frisbee to them. Unfortunately, it went a little wide and missed who it was aimed for. “Sorry!” Called Eloise. She then checked the time then started to head towards the mansion. “Sorry guys! I gotta run, gotta meet my team!” She then focused on the area in front of her so she didn’t run into anyone as she began to head indoors.

Vitali was sat in the dormitory for Team 1, on a couch, just reading a book. The room was fairly dark - not necessarily his doing - but he had a small orb of light hovering at his shoulder, acting as a reading light so that he could see while he read. He was not too sure about meeting the rest of his team, but he supposed it was inevitable. As long as they didn't expect him to hang around with them outside of training sessions, he guessed it wouldn't be too bad. He liked to have his peace and alone time. He also hoped there wouldn't be anyone too extroverted or energetic - he didn't need someone bouncing around and trying to be overly-friendly.

Belle walked down the hallways, busy minding her own business when suddenly she heard a lot of angered exclamations coming form the kitchen. She side-stepped out of the way of the steady flow of students in the hallway and followed the noises to find her fellow school goer, Daren, doing what she could only guess was cooking. "Do you... need any help?" she asked him.

Holly walked from her dorm down the long hallways until she smelt the familiar smell of dusty book and turned her tracks to go off in that direction. Finding the library, she began to scan the shelves for the perfect peice of literature to read. She pulled out an old but interesting brown book and she pulled out her black glasses and began to scan the pages. "No..." she said out loud and put the book back, decided to head outside instead. She noticed someone was working in the gardens and decided to say "Hi, what're you doing just now?".

”Going to meet my team” was all Marc Answered with as he walked past Holly then entered the mansion. He wasn’t one to stop for a chat especially when he had somewhere to be. The mutant paused momentarily while climbing the stairs to look back. He hoped that she was not on his team considering he had been rude. Marc shrugged it off then continued on. Upon arriving at the dorm, he offered a slight nod of greeting to Vitali then sat himself upon on of the beds. He had no intention of being the first to speak buthis did wonder what this person was like. Not too chatty was what he hoped and willing to let him be was another hope he had.

”Nope. I’m okay. I can handle this on my own” Answered Darin after several moments. He had been mildly startled by her sudden appearance. It was only sudden because he wasn’t paying any attention. “Don’t you have a team to go meet?” Asked Darin, feeling a little nosy at the question. He hurried to pull the next batch out of the oven. This was the last one he needed. Those that had already been pulled out were added to the tray of burnt cookies

Eloise arrived at the dorm she would be sharing with her team then sat upon one of the beds. She hummed softly as she waited for them to start arriving. The woman hoped they were at least friendly but she would understand if they were not.

Belle nodded slowly, trying not to laugh, and she tried a sigh to swallow it down. "Ah yes, it seems like everything is in your hands" she said with a slightly raised eyebrow. "If my company isn't needed, I might as well go sought out my group" she said and turned to leave, getting read to walk towards the team one dorm, walking up the steps.

He carried on reading, until he heard the door open, to which he glanced up sharply, and saw someone that he presumed was one of his teammates enter. Vitali watched him silently, the orb of light that had been hovering next to his dissolving, thus giving the room a bit more light overall. He was silent for a few moments, just quietly assessing what his teammate might be like, before he finally spoke. "Hello. Vitali Kovalchuk." He introduced himself, but didn't make any indication that he was going to carry the conversation on, unless that was what his teammate wanted, but he doubted that would be the case. Vitali waited a moment, before glancing back down towards his book.

”Good morning. I suppose” Stated Marc. He shifted slightly so that he was sitting cross legged on the bed, likely getting dirt on it from his feet. “Marc Attwood” was all he said afterwords as he turned his attention to the vines growing around his arms and legs. They were usually a pretty good indication of how he was feeling health wise. They only ever bloomed in the spring as long as he wasn’t sick. At the moment, they were a vibrant green. “What is it you are able to do?” Asked Marc after a while of silence. He figured it was best to know. That would be the only question he had for the time being.
